I've never had any teeth pulled, or any cavities :D *knock on wood* A couple of years ago the dentist suggested that I should get one of my wisdom teeth pulled, because it wouldn't grow properly and started to hurt. But in the end she decided I had enough room for it so she gave me some pills for the pain and let the tooth stay in :lol: Haven't had any problems with it since.

I had two teeth pulled this year. One to let the new one under it grow and one to make room for my other tooth when I get braces.

But I don't understand why you're stressing about it.
When the needle comes I always just close my eyes and when the dentist pulls my tooth out I also close my eyes and just wait ,
I almost feel nothing!

It sounds like you have more experience getting teeth pulled than most of us added together. I wish you luck with the latest round...

I had my four wisdom teeth removed because if they were to grow in on their own, it would have messed my other teeth's positions up.

I managed to go from birth to age eighteen without a cavity. Regrettably, I got one at that age. None since then though. I don't know what happened. There was a short period of time where all I did was drink Coke. I hate soda, so I don't know why. What I do know is that stuff is lethal. xD

Ouch, 10 pulled? :o
I haven't had any pulled (yet) or any cavities (yet)
But I've had an xray of my teeth.. that was weird ._.;;

hotxxchocolate 07-11-2007 06:34 PM

doesn't hurt if they taka shot, the shot hurts more LOL, i've had all my teeth pulled out except for about 3 XP that stinks... and i might need braces, and need MORE teeth pulled out AHHH!

twizted child eve 07-11-2007 07:25 PM

I don't think I've had any pulled before. I wouldn't be too worried about it. I like the dentist because the one I have is nice and knows what he's doing.

Jennger 07-11-2007 07:28 PM

I've had about 7 of them pulled, but that's because my baby teeth just would not come out.The last two were the worse because they only gave me the numbing gel, not the shot. TT_TT

Parasite 07-11-2007 07:33 PM

That's...a lot of teeth to have pulled. *cringe* I have a phobia about the dentist and luckily I have very healthy, if not a touch yellow, teeth. I've never had a tooth pulled in my life and I hope not to.

Flying Wings 07-11-2007 07:38 PM

Holy crap! D:

Only 3. <3

LennaHime 07-11-2007 08:09 PM

Back when I needed to get braces, the denstist had to pull out 4 of my teeth. Did it all in one sitting. It was so very not cool. Its the shot that gets me every time. >_< But don't worry, it's not gonna hurt forever. You shall survive! n_n

LessThanThree 07-11-2007 08:41 PM

I once had 9 teeth out in one go when I was 6.

D:

It was because I had a lot of "double teeth" where a new one comes in right on top of one that's already there. Apparently I had to get them out or it'd fuck-up the rest of my teeth.

D:

I have nice teeth now though <3~x

Arcaica 07-11-2007 10:20 PM

Yep I got some of my teeth pulled i remember that last time they did that, i was on ibuprofen for a week, and and on a liquid diet :(

Kaelyn 07-12-2007 02:39 AM

I've never had any teeth pulled. Thank god. D:

Cinnamonmiko 07-12-2007 05:01 AM

I had...six pulled total. They were all baby teeth, because the adult teeth underneath them weren't pushing them out right. The were trying to grow through the back or something like that.

Regardless.
I was awake for all of them and I remember them all very clearly...
they weren't so bad.

Lots of tugging, and some pressure when they broke the molars. One dentist almost dropped my baby canine down my throat, but he caught it. ;)
I had to eat sliced up crust-less pb&j for a while, and I could only drink water and eat jell-o before that.

I have to get my wisdoms yanked out sometime soon >_> I don't have enough room to let them grow in...if I do it will ruin my teeth and I'll need braces.

elissis 07-12-2007 06:07 AM

i got 4 pulled out for braces before.
and recently had to extract 3 of my wisdom teeth.
but i was asleep on G.A. for the wisdom teeth op.
so it didn't hurt till after the operation.. ><

it's not that bad..
just try not to worry too much? =)

Frog 07-12-2007 10:45 AM

I have braces. Thing is, one of my back teeth was still a baby when I got them.

My orthodontist got around that by just not putting a bracket on that tooth. He kept telling me to wiggle it, so I wiggled it for weeks. Each time I'd come back to the orthodontist and he'd sort of tut at me, and remind me to pull it out before the next visit.

Eventually, it got to the stage where it was about half-way off. I came in for my appointment, apologised, and sat down and waited for him to do his thing.

He got a tissue and yanked this tooth out of the back of my mouth. Since it wasn't ready to come out yet, he literally had to tug about ten times before it came out.

And then I started bleeding.

That's the only tooth I've ever had pulled. All of my baby teeth are gone, now, and apparently I don't have the calcium build-up for my wisdom teeth. (I'm too wise to need them, lol.)

It was a bad experience. Not only was I not expecting it, but he didn't even numb my mouth. It hurt like hell.

trinxie 07-12-2007 12:08 PM

two teeth pulled out D;
it was cuz of braces =3
at least I got munies from my parents...
I kinda liked getting them pulled out actually, it felt tickley and tingly.

elissis 07-12-2007 01:51 PM

@Frog:
WHAT?!
i can't believe he did that.. that's pure evil..
we had a nurse in our primary school (a dentist) and she made us pull out our own baby teeth and if we didn't dare, she'll give us numbing gel and if we still didn't dare, she'll pull it out..
he should have at LEAST used numbing gel? >w<

I'm due to have my first tooth out in a few weeks. It started out as having to be four so when my dentist said only one, i was quite happy. So no gruesome storys to tell here. I'm sure i'll be more nervous during the time leading up to it.

Good luck, you've been through it many times before, i'm sure you'll be ok.

Winter Wind 07-12-2007 10:05 PM

Ouch. I got one pulled when I was 6. It was a molar too. Pain. ><;

It wasn't pretty either. It was bleeding for 4 hours, and I had this huge gap. ><;

stargazer20 07-17-2007 02:45 PM

Its worse when you have a molar pulled. You can hear the root snapping as they rock the tooth back and forth. Hope you are doing ok after getting your teeth pulled. One thing about pain when its past and done we forget about it.

aphrodite remix 07-17-2007 03:03 PM

I've had one tooth pulled before when I was younger. It never hurts, but it is the scariest feeling ever. They freeze it but just the way they pull so hard to rip it out of your jaw, makes ya feel really weird because you can't feel anything. It doesn't even really hurt afterword, just kind of throbs for a bit.

the rising pheonix 07-17-2007 03:05 PM

I had a tooth pulled before,there was this baby tooth that would fall,and make place for the adult tooth,and thus i had to have it removed.It doesn`t hurt all that much you will feel a sharp blinding pain for about 5 secs.
