http://s172.photobucket.com/albums/w..._love_you/art/ I know... I need to work on clean up and coloring. How do people make colors blend so well. ;__; What is the best way to clean up? What is the fastest way? Suggests=<3 Tutorials=<3 Tips=<3xINFINITY |
That all depends on what you're using to create that color. Are you useing markers, photoshop? It looks like you used a Tablet, but, I'm not quite sure. If you did, use different brushes to create different effects. But, it all depends on what type of look you're going for.

Though I have a bunch of traditional media. Color pencils, paints and multiliners. Maybe I should just go to artist and ask them how they do specific things.. *contemplates* What are the advantages and disadvantages of markers? @Shake Solidarity sister. Don't worry... we will learn, eventually. ;__; |
Markers are very nice things. It's much faster than, say, colored pencils, and it's not as messy as paint. You can cover area very quickly. The only thing is that once an area is covered it can't be uncovered. It's the same for darkening things--once you darken, you can't lighten.
But they're still very nice and easy to use. Even coats of solid color may be a bit difficult, and you'll need white out for a mistake. The only other thing is the cost. I love copics, but they're on the rather pricey side, as are prismacolors. I suppose there are other good, cheaper markers out there, but I don't know about them. For coloring in photoshop, try using a fuzzy airbrush. Another thing I do is just scribble the shading with a pencil tool, like I'm just shading on paper, and then use the blur tool to smooth it out. As for cleaning up... well, those people are just talented. I'm lazy, so instead of cleaning up, I just make my style rather messy so it looks like it's meant to be that way. xD |

Smug tool to blend. @[email protected] That's a good tip. Thanks. :3 I'm lazy with the clan up to~ sometimes I think it's just better to draw and paper then scan it. But then, when you scan it, there is no way to just take the black outlines and make the white transparent or is there? Drawing with a wacom is just~ slipper? I don't know. Feels like I have less control. |
cool you should add some lights and darkds insread of flat colour

well about coloring.. you have only flat color xD what kind of coloring you would like to have on your art? more "painty"or more don't know how should I name it.. that mangaish type of coloring where everything is shiney and looks like made of plastic xD;
about tradytional media.. the FASTER way is coal I think xD but everything depends on that what efect you would like to have on your art. sometimes it's easier to use watercolor, sometimes just pencil, sometimes markers.. you must try everything and check what is YOUR way. we all are diffrent and it's hard to say what will be the best in tips. anyway. if you want some tutorials, check DA just click this for some Photoshop tutorial. |
I use the airbrush tool in photoshop when i CG. It makes things soft and pretty - it's the soft brush with like...a low opacity - it's pretty :D XDD beautiful - i like your style and anatomy!

I just use the blend and smudge tool in my Photoshop, lol. You should definitely do some shading, it'll really bring out the picture.
