Okay, so I recently have been wanting to get my hair cut. It's to my shoulders now and I would love to have long hair, but I get to impatient for it to grow out and always find something different I want to get, but usually I cant get it cut that way. I tried to grow it out once, but ended up cutting it again. My friend told me I should let it grow out, and I'm gonna try I think, I just wanted other peoples opinions. What do you think?
I have fine thin hair, it's not that thin, just kind of. But it's not medium or thick either.

I have very thick hair - an its naturally red so I don't really dye it. I did put blond hilights in once, and another time i put in hot pink ones.


My hair grows fast - a least that's what people tell me - but when i'm trying to gow it out it feels like forever.

My hair was down to my shoulder blades and I decided to cut it to my chin. Well . .the front is at my chin - the back is shorter.


you should probably do your hair how you lie it - everyone is going to tell you something different.

I have some people at work who keep telling me how nice my hair is long, and my boyfriend and my mom both like my hair short - I'm indifferent and like my hair whatever way requires the least amount of effort on my part to 'style' ;)

Well, I've never highlighted of dyed my hair before, so it's a natural black. :] Yeah, I'm Asian. xD Anywayy.. I have a simple and normal haircut. It's designed so that it's easy for me to tie it up, and but it still looks nice when it's down. xDD :lol: I'll draw something like it on MS Paint. 8)

My haircut is like a typical Chinese, thinned-out, shoulder-length, layered hair.

Nope, never dyed it. I like black hair. <3

Dunno. It grows about 6 inches a year. :] I know that much. But that's the average rate. It might not be for everyone. But mine grows pretty fast, but feels like forever. ><;

I hate haircuts. I don't see the point seeing as I wear my hair the same way no matter what. Down, not styled in any way. My hair's got a very slight wave and isn't too frizzy, so it looks fine if I don't do anything to it.

Haircuts and colors:
I have had my hair really short before, I don't know that I like it that much. I have longer hair now, it is now at the middle of my back, almost to my butt. It was orginially brown, now I have it black with blonde bangs. And actually tomorrow I am going to the salon to re-dye it black and get my bangs done purple. ^________^

Yep, black and a little bit of blonde.

And it takes about 2-3 months for it to grow 1-2 inches....but it took my hair 5 years to get to the middle of my back from being at my neck.

I love getting my hair cut into different styles. My current one is what all my friends say suits me the best out of everything I've tried so far, though. And since one of my friends does my hair, it's free, so I'm happy that I can get it redone whenever I like. ^^

It takes my hair a while to grow out, I suppose. I'm currently waiting for the pink to grow out of my hair, since it seems to not want to wash out despite being well over a half a year since I originally got it done. So I've been trying my best to wait it out so I can get it bleached completely blonde (with maybe a few pink streaks... I can't help it, it's all my favorite musician's fault! *shakes fist at him for having pink in his hair often* ). I don't know, however, what style my hair will be in next. I want it to stay short, though. I love having short hair. <3

My hair is really long.

Honestly I am scared to death of cutting my hair. Right now it the best reference I can give is the hair on †MidNight†'s avvie. It is that long and if I just brush it all down I'll look like cousin it from the Addam's Family.

Realistically I know it is just hair and that it will grow back but still. It took a long time to get it this long and I'm afraid if I cut it the person will do a horrible job and I'll be stuck with a bad haircut. :(

my hair's thin.. but because it has slight curls in it, it's not that obvious.

i've never permanently dyed my hair before.
the most i've done was temporary dye - orange.. because my class was supposed to dress up as 'Pebbles' from The Flintstones for a school parade =D

Well, about 3 years ago I went from having long waist length hair, to cutting it into a a line, chine length bob. A drastic change, considering I had been so protective of my long hair at that point for about the past 8 years.

I'm kind of in the same situtation you are. Wether I want to grow my hair out, it's almost shoulder length, or hack it short again.

Really, it's up to you and if you can be patient enough to let it keep growing out. And just remember, for most people, once hair gets to a certain length, it kind of just stays there. Will grow more with regular trims.

Also, be warned, longer hair requires a bit more work, and from my experinces with bags, when I had long hair, broke easier and ended up with split ends. Which is a hard feat, considering my hair is thick and wavy. it really depends on how you take care of.

Myhair is past my waist in length and quite thick.
It's brownish blonde, but I highlight it with more blonde. My hairdresser told me the last time that she highlighted it, that next time she's going to put some darker shades back into it. They're called lowlights.
When I'm not wearing it down, I French braid it into a single braid then fluff up my bangs with a curling iron.

I hate hairdressers. D: The majority of them over here are so creepy.

And my hair grows quickly so I can try out quite a lot of things fairly easily.

I just got mines done the other day and tried to shorten some of the layers myself...Screwed up though.

And you can always just get extensions or a nice toupee?

My hair is long and thin, and I don't really like it. It's dark blonde, darker on top of my head and really light at the ends. Naturally, because I've never dyed it. It's going darker year by year, but I know that I probably won't like the final color. *And it still will be a kind of blonde* Sometimes my hair is quite straight (quite because when I go out wind do with them what it want ;d), sometimes wavy. Not really styled. I often think about do something with it, but... I'm a little bit afraid that it could be done in terrible way and later I'll regret.
