Walking backwards
I looked through everything and I don't remember seeing this thread. So I'm going to post it. This thread is for taking a time warp backwards through time to the good ol days of the SNES. If there's anybody here who remembers any of these games or still plays them(Guilty!), then this thread is perfect for you. So what games were your favorites? If you're still playing them, what games are you still playing? Why do you like the games that you do? I think those are good enough. So I guess I'll start.
I love the Final Fantasy games on SNES. They're classics! The characters were great. The stories were great. And they have good ol fashion comedy to them. What isn't to love about them? I'm currently reliving the memory of Secret of Mana. It's a great game. The multiple choice of weapons is great. Plus I love being able to chain together magic for a greater affect. Let's not forget Chrono Trigger. This game is most certainly a classic. It practically started the whole time jump theme we see in a fair amount of games today. Plus I loved the music in it. So who else is brave enough to speak up? |
Sadly, the SNES is the only Nintendo console I've never owned (excluding the Virtual Boy).
However, I have played all 3 SNES FF games on the Playstation. I've also tried Chrono Trigger (and loved it), but I didn't have a chance to get very far. I really hope it comes out on Virtual Console on the Wii. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. |
If you're really into it, you can play through Chrono Trigger on new game+ mode and try to get all 24 of the different endings. That's a blast to do. good for a laugh too.

o_O Someone actually owned a Virtual boy(not meaning to be mean)? Wow, I wish I could even just see one for the concept of it(not to get it, I dislike headaches D: ). xD
Oh, I love LoZ: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Mario Paint! xD Uh, and quite a few other ones as well. They were some good classics. :o I wish I could've played more though. D: |

I'm still replaying Secret of Mana. The worst part is working up weapon levels for someone like me who just has to completely and totally dominate a game that i love. I never had a virtual boy. but my one friend in grade school did. he let me play it on occasion...but that was a rarity in itself.

My favorite SNES games will always be Mario Allstars, Mario kart racing, and the two Donkey Kongs. They were just killer games. FF series is awesome as well, but the others were just so mindlessly good.

My secret shame was duck hunt, or wait that was original NES.. for super nes..
probably would have to be the mario's, they're just sooo good and I'm a little obsessed with mario, as in I actually have the original nes controller and 1 up mushroom tattood on me. After that game then Final Fantasy for sure, those games were killer. |
I remember Having a Snes Emulator, and PLaying FF 1 and 2,but i didn`t get that far in the 2nd one,Frankly i was getting bored of playing FF all the time so i changed games,But my Favorite game on The Snes has to be FF 1 hands down.

My favorite game for the SNES is and always will be Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. It's the only game that had me so attached to the characters that there were times when I was outright sobbing during the plot. "Nooooo! Tia loves you, too, Maxim!" x.x Anyway. I also <3'd the Breath of Fire games. There were two for the SNES, I think, and the third was for the Playstation. Let's see... I liked the Lord of the Rings game XP As lame as that is. I was too young to get too far into it, but I like playing it now. All the Megaman games were awesome! I used to keep a diary of how excited I was about beating certain bosses in Megaman XD Hmm... OHMIGOSH I can't believe I listed this last, it's definitely a VERY close second to Lufia II, but I looooved Harvest Moon:SNES. You wouldn't think a game about farming would be that entertaining, but that game began a long and obssessive relationship for me. I have eeeevery Harvest Moon game since ^^ Yaaaaay!
