Other then insightful, it's how our economy is run. Supply and demand. People have to want in order for their to be a demand. Damn vicious cycle really.

Partly it's a bit of a shame that it is transferred to websites such as this. But then again it sort of feels nice to have to "work" to earn something, even virtual money. |

Indeed. Some free stuff is nice, but it would be less fun to post aimlessly.
When I first became "aware" of the internet I joined this anime fan forum, specifically, a forum for "Ah! My Goddess". Even there we had a kind of aim. After a number of posts, you'd go from being "human" to "angel" to "goddess" and so on. <3 Naturally the aim was to become a "goddess 1st class", although after I became moderator I didn't really care for it anymore. |
I think being a mod would ruin the fun of it all.

Naw, personally I'd like to be MOD on gaia. Start kickin' ass and taking names. If I were to MOD there, perhaps then my time would be divided between Mene and gaia. But until that day, Mene is my new home.

Well, I'd been there for a long time and met my first real internet friends there... so the regulars' crew was a lot of fun and easy to manage. I really enjoyed being a mod there, and I do miss that place a bit...
But then the owner of the website felt all "i'm not being appreciated enough" and deleted it for a while, then it came back, then it was gone again, then... gah. I just got sick of it. X"D |

Yeah, he just un-hosted it, suddenly we would get a message, "We're sorry but "Belldandy Angel Feathers" will no longer be available"." Then if you contacted the websites' creator, he'd be all, "Yeah well it's my place so I can do whatever I want with it".
God I hated that guy at times. XD And I'm usually not someone who easily hates someone. Stupid guy. :shakes fist at him: He disliked me because I was a girl and, "girls are all the same, they just use you". Blech. ANYWAy! I'm going to go to bed, it's getting late. <3 G'night! |
