I think I randomly brought Alice in Wonderland up, then someone said they'd just seen the movie... and it just snowballed from there. XD

i watched the disney version a long time ago... that's about it tho i think... i'm not sure if i have the disney tape of it or not... but i never knew the "original" story or read a book on it or anythign... ^^; |
The book is darker then what the Disney movie portrayed it to be. Just like how Disney totally screwed up Pocahontas. *shakes head* No wonder children these days have no sense of correct history.

There is an erotic version of Sleeping Beauty after she is awoken from her sleep. It's written by Anne Rice under another name, forget which one, but there are three books total. Boy are they graphic and erotic. But interesting to read. Anne Rice has some pent up sexual issues. *nods*

Really? O.o" I can't remember that.
And I've never read an Anne Rice version of Sleeping Beauty. But now, I simply must. Original stories are always more shocking or darker in general, than the Disney versions. I must admit that I loved the Pocahontas movies, although I was very much aware of how historically inaccurate they are. Still nice, though, at times. |

Although I love Dory <3 I must check that book out. Sounds interesting. I want to know what good fairy tale authors to read. |
