I probably shouldn't but...
I should probably of learned my lesson and kept from posting art... But I decided I would post this anyway. I'm sure there will be plenty of you just ever so eager to tell me all the horrible problems with it, as usual.
Image Before you tell me the proportions are weird... this is a doll... not a human... I know I did not put detail into the eye brows... they are supposed to be painted on so I didn't mess with them, though I should of coloured the hair over them instead of leaving them as I did... I know the dress is poorly coloured and the lace is ridiculous... There is no need to remind me of this fact... This is a drawing of someone's actual "Dollfie" doll. Her name is Alice and this is the outfit she was supposed to be drawn in, so that's what I put on her. I no longer have the photo reference link, but I'm sure I can re-find it if anyone feels it's completely necessary... And no, she was not posed like this in the photo... TECHNICAL INFORMATION Photoshop 5.0 drawn/coloured with an optical wireless mouse (Note the shaky outline around the head especially) Worked on here and there over a span of about 3 days Most common used 'tool' would be the airbrush... |
Ooooh, shiney! I love how glossy her lips and eyes look. :D
|
Very cool ^_^ love the eyes!
|
I like it! And the undetailed eyebrows make sense, if they're painted on then it looks just like it should! :D The only critique (which isn't really a critique but more of an opinion) is about the bangs, those straight lines kind of bothered me. But everything else is wonderful!

It's beautiful. I love it.
Her eyes are lovely; Shiny. ^^ And I adore her hair. Great job! |
I like it, the details included make this a darling piece. the eyes and lips stand out, however as stated before the harsh straight lines in the bangs are a tad bothersome. otherwise this is an excellent piece!
|
I love the face!. I can care less about the eye brow and all cause the eyes attracts all the attention. And I have to say. OMG the eyes are incredible. The hair shading is great also. Great job I love this piece. And who care about the lace, we can see that they are laces. ^.~

i love it. i want one of those dolls
|
It is great.
I love the shiny/softness of it. And the eyes are great. :] |
The suggestions I would have are to get rid of the lines in the bangs and to try to make the lines cleaner. You can use the pen tool so that they come out smoother instead of using just the mouse. If you have questions about how to use the pen tool let me know. Everything else looks pretty good, I think. I don’t see anything wrong with leaving the eyebrows how they are either. I love the shiny colouring too.

:D very well done, I saw immediatly that it was a bjd >.< it's very cool, looks very realistic. I really like that you used colored lines instead of the regular black lineart.
|
I knew it was a doll. Lovely.
Kudos to another mouse user. |
You have two styles going on here. Pick one and stick with it. If you want to do anime, hence the impossibly shiny hair, that's great. But it really sticks out and seems rather odd when compared to the rest of the figure. You're going for realism yet you still have lineart showing, especially in the bangs. So either get rid of it or make it more stylised like it would be in a comic. Other it's pretty good. The gradations are smooth on the face, hair, and clothes, but I'd encourage you to smooth it out even more if you want to achieve the porcelain doll look which has completely smooth features. Hope it helps. |
beautiful coloring, i could tell it was a doll right away
o__O thats done with a mouse, wow, it looks really nice |
|
