He thought it best to leave out the bit with Chidori, so he smiled and slung his pack off and sat on the roof, motioning for her to do the same. |

I went and sat down beside him, bringing my wings around me, I sat bout 3 feet from him; I tried my hardest to push the last kiss from my mind but every time I saw him... my heart ached. He shrugged. "Talking out of turn....throwing spitballs...threatening to kill someone..." He smiled. "The usual." He shook his head. "Please, let's not talk about that." He groaned out loud and let his head fall in his hands. "I'm embarrassed enough that everyone saw me in that peice of crap speedo...that and I was ON TIME today, can you believe that! Risa I was ON TIME!" |
She glared at him.
"I thought I taught you better..." I laughed. "It was nice to see you in that thing one last time." I joked, bringing my knees to my chest, and wrapping my arms around them. "Im... so proud that you were on time, and are acting responsible. I... dont know what you'll do without my influence." i sighed, resting my chin on my knees. I stretched my wings up from my nap and shook them from the sleep they were feeling. I had about a 45 minute flight back to the mountains; home, and they needed to be awake for that. The breeze picked up, pushing a wing against Kanes bare arm. I faught with it and brought them to my sides. "Sorry about that." i apologized. The eyes in the window widened as they watched on. She...the freak... has wings? That... explains alot... |
"What can I say?" He smiled.
"I'm a baaadddd boy." He turned a bright red. "Y-You were there?" He asked nervously. He coughed and nodded. "Well, I mean..it's the least I could do since...." He trailed off. "Since...you're leaving again......right?" He smiled and leaned in onto his knees. "I'd still be a delquient." He smiled as the feathers brushed against him, and he shook his head. "No need...I..I like them." |
Naughty thoughts ran loose in my mind as he said he was a bad boy.
"If only you were..." I muttered, letting out a deep sigh. I quirked an eyebrow at him. "I saw all of Gym class. I enjoyed every minute of it. Besides, its not like you dressed in your speedo for me-it was for class." I nodded. "Yes...and I dont know when Ill come back. I should come back and finish school. I may return on Wednesday. I need to catch up on sleep and make my new place more... 'homey' and safe. I shrugged. "Cant change you..I learned that the hard way..." I looked out over the horizon. "You..shouldn't like them..." I lowered them, as if relaxing the muscles in my back to do so. "Why... did you wanna kiss me back there...?" |
He smiled.
"Awww, I hate class....but then again, I couldn't very well swim in this uniform could I?" He sighed, and leaned back to let the sun hit his face. "I'd like to see you back here." He said. "I miss you." He chuckled. "Why is it that you sound so harsh saying that?" He asked. "Why not?" He smiled and looked at her. "So that you'd know." |
"The coach would never allow you to swim in your uniform, you know that." I looked at him, as his hair shined gold in the sun; he was so beautiful...
"You miss me? Please, we were just together..." her smile faded. "besides... being near you and talking to you like this...makes it all the more harder to get over you..." my eyes averted from yours, I looked to my shoelaces and played with them. "Im not harsh, Im honest. Cant teach an old dog new tricks... or something like that." I said softly. "Why not?" I looked to him. "because they keep me from being with you, thats why. Yes theyre beautiful and all, but they keep...us apart." I said, slowly fading out the last part. "I sure ass hell dont love them anymore.." I cocked my head to the side. "Know what?" A pshh. they talk about them wings like theyre real... |
He smiled.
"If only..." He chuckled. "I'd like to think that was the point." He sobered a little and sighed. "But that's not what you want is it?" Kane sighed, a laugh breaking it in the middle. "Ow." He nodded. "I know...I know..still it's going to be hard getting over those midnight flights." He smiled wider then, his face lightening up like a light bulb. "So you'd know that I still love you. Just in case....you ever forgot." ((Gomen last one)) |
"What...do you care what i want... you shoudlnt anymore. We're just friends...from now on." I sighed, standing up slowly and looking to the sky.
"You never liked flying." I said simply. I looked to him sadly. "Please... stop saying that. It... hurts to hear..." i said in a low voice. I looked up again and took a deep breath, opening my wings. "Im gonna go..." [Adios Kane... see u next week then] |

He shrugged. "Maybe....but I do." He shook his head. "Well, maybe not that first time, but I.....well, no I never got used to it I guess." He sighed and nodded. "Alright, no more from me." He held out his hand like he was extending it for a shake and smiled. "Till we meet again Risa." |

I looked away from him and let out a sigh. I looked back at his hand and placed mine in his... then let it go, leaving a large white feather in his palm. "Adios..." I turned my back to him and lept high into the air and flew off in a blaze of feathers, letting my tears finally fall as I flew away. |

He nodded and looked down at the feather. "So long." He whispered as she flew away. "See you again..." He watched her go his heart heavy but still... He grabbed his backpack and turned to go inside. |

Onward, I flew as fast and hard as I could. I would have to sleep well if I wanted to come back to school the next day. In the door, she looked to Kane as the door opened. "How'd the photo shoot go?" She asked, keeping her back leaned against the wall on the inside fo the door frame, her arms folded and head down. |

Kane nearly jumped out of his skin seeing Chidori there. "Oh ahh...not so well....the lighting was all off and Juri would have killed me if I messed up her film with any of those shots." He scratched the back of his head nervously...had she seen him?? Had she seen RISA? |

"I bet..." she said non chelantly[sp?], standing up straight and walking off slowly. "You should get home before it starts to rain. It gonna start any minute..." she said, not even turning around to look at him as she walked off into the empty hallways and out the front door, grinning to herself. Perfect. Now I know how to get my Kane... Back at my cave, I landed in the doorway and looked around. It was a nice place to stay, a beautiful view of the dense forest under me and then back to my space. Only a sleeping bag, pillow, back pack for school stuff and personal items, and massive black trash bag full of my clothing. |

He looked after her confused. "Uh..s-sure...I'll do that." He shook his head after she'd left and headed for home. He opened the door to find Juri still gone...but then again, he couldn't blame her..the house was seeming really empty now a days....He smiled down and scratched the cat's ears, feeding them and Abel before he headed upstairs....time was running out and he still hadn't completed his plan.....by this weekend however, everything would be set. |
[PLAN?! WHAT PLAN?! growlll...]
Just like Chidori has said, it had begun to rain just before the sun set behind the horizion. I groaned, turning on my Nintendo DS for the only light I had in the cave. I made a note to buy candles and a lighter when I went back to town tomorrow. I quickly completed my homework under the dim light of my DS and when finished it, went for a flight to find some fruit in a nearby farm. |

Kane lay on his back in his bedroom, now clean....yes, you heard me, clean, he'd straightened everything from the clothes on his floor, to papers and things that once lay on his dresser. The rain pelting his window outside. He smiled to himself, thinking if he'd see Risa the next day, but still something gnawed at him..something that he couldn't quite pinpoint, but it was shoved into the back of his mind quickly enough and he slowly drifted off dreaming about stars and the sky. |

After gathering apples, oranges, grapes and a few ears of corn, i returned to my cave to eat a small ration, and woulod save the rest for tomorrows lunch and possibly dinner. I undressed and slipped into my sleeping bag and watched the pouring rain pummel the earth. I only wished i could be in Kanes arms at this moment... but knew it would be for the best to let him be. I let sleep take me ito her arms and slept soudly to the sounds of the pouring rain. [goodnight, see u thurs] |

Juri sighed as she unlocked the door and dumped her things at the door. With a sigh, she bent and petted Misty and Oreo for a moment and looked into the kitchen at the note...with a shake of her head, she headed into the living room, not bothering to change out of her uniform. "Risa....I...I hope that you're safe...wherever you are." She shook her head and before she knew it...had fallen asleep on the couch, resting her head on her arm that lay across the arm of the couch. [ffwd to Friday]Through a yawn, I dragged my feet into the classroom. My uniform was pretty clean, having washed it in the lake nearby 2 days ago. This was the first day I returned to school. I lazily looked around the room amongst chattering classmates who stared at my ruffled, wind-blown hair. I grunted and plopped down in my seat sourly, forgetting to stop in the girls bathroom to fix my hair. I pulled out my pocket sized brush and brushed my hair, looking around for Kane, who didnt seem to be here yet, by the way his empty desk looked in the back of the classroom.

Kane had, little by little, begun arriving to school a little later everyday since he's seen Risa last, now that it was friday, he was almost back to his usual time...almost. He walked in the classroom door just as the bell rang and smiled to himself seeing Risa, he didn't allow himself a wave, but merely stalked to the back and took his seat. |
