I Need My Music! // Anna
Right now I'm nowhere near a radio and the computer that I'm using doesn't have working speakers. I just figured that out when I went to YouTube and tried to turn on one of my favorite songs. Dx I can't live without music, its one of things that fuel my desire to go on. *dramatic* Really, I always have something on while I"m chatting to make me feel better. This is TORTURE. T.T

I can live without music, just not happily. My problem is that I don't enjoy popular music, like rap or most modern rock. I listen to instrumental pieces and showtunes. Unless I invest in a collection of CDs or happen to hit NPR at the right time, I'm left without my tunes.
It's quite sad, really. |
I like to listen to Pop, and occasionally indulge in Oldies. I really like Japanese songs, or songs from anime, though.

Aw poor Anna!
I can't live without music. I take my ipod with me everywhere! I'm listening to Gabrielle at the minute .. interesting choice for me as i love a bit of rock and more hardcore/different music. A bit of indie and old pop is good too. But mainly rock. And i think i prefer youtube to the radio. I never listen to the radio and they don't usually play songs i like anyway so there isn't much point. =| |

I think I would die. I ALWAYS have something playing.. Laptop's speakers, headphones, iPod, radio, music channel on the TV. XD;; School's torture...only some teachers let you listen to iPods in class. ;w; I mostly listen to...well, I'm not good with genres. xD; The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has been one of my favorites as of now...but I'll get sick of them soon. xP I like youTube better...I can watch videos along with music. :D Poor Anna. ;w; Find some headphones and plug them into the computer? I actually don't listen to music. My iPod is dreadfully neglected (why the hell did I buy that thing again?).
Most popular songs annoy the crap out of me (like Delilah (spelling?) and that song with the umbrella-ella-ella). And I hate rap. |
I'm jealous of you people with iPod's. I tried to get one from my parents, but they thought it was a waste of money and refused to get one.

I always have music playing, it lifts my spirits. Well, that's probably 'cause I listen to really happy indie music, but still. Or, well, some people call it twee, but mostly in insulting terms. D:
I even have a stereo in my room just so that I can mute the videogames I play and pop in a cd I love. XD I prefer the online and actual radio to youtube, though. Iceberg indie pop broadcasts give me great stuff to listen to that I normally wouldn't, and nothing beats Definetly Not The Opera on CBC. ;D |
Most people listen to music, but I don't. I've never found any I liked.

I can't live without music. When I'm feeling sad, I listen to songs I know, sing along I'm happy again. When I'm angry, I listen and sing to songs, then my anger goes away. When I'm really happy, I probably listen to music anyway haha. I HATE the silence, it's so quiet! and ... awkward! I like listening to anything really. Like anything, but oprah... that really super high so called 'singing' it's so annoying! GAH! And I really love the Japanese songs, though I don't know many of 'em. But yes, poor Anna. I can't stand not listening to music. That's why I'm angry at my MP# player. I'm not speaking with it :P |
@ Hidari - =P I usually turn down the sound on games I'm playing to listen to my playlist on YouTube. I can listen to the same song for HOURS, depending on what it is.

Anna: I know eh? Like most of my friends can't have music on when they're studying or doing homework or reading or anything, I NEED it haha.
Actually, when I'm listening to music REALLY loud, then my friend Devin just cut it off--just like that. No warning, it was all loud, then silence instantly. I freaked out so much, I"m like TURN IT ON! TURN IT ON!!! |
Hmm... My productivity and attention span would decrease like, 150% without music. I wouldnt die, but id start to suck. :<
I listen to a lot of things... people are often stunned by my music library. xD My main genre is Experimental/Industrial, but I branch out all over the place. o 3o I have the Crystal Method next to the Counting Crows, Einsturzende Neubauten next to Eisley, Mozart next to My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult... xD The only radio I ever listen to is on last.fm, and occasionally some internet industrial stations. o_o This public station DOES have like, an industrial block on one day of the week at like, 12 til 2AM, though. :petpet: I know your pain, I went without speakers for a long time. Youll get through it, I swear! |

I love music. I enjoy rock, metal, alternative, techno, trance, gothic, and whatever genre/specific song appeals to me. Unless I'm in the mood to listen to something specific, or if something's new, I usually listen to trance as ambiance. Having trance play in the background is extremely beneficial to me. I can't concentrate on anything unless there's a beat I can listen to to tune my distracting thoughts out. If I try to read without music or a constant sound, I wind up becoming hypersensitive and I pick up on anything that might annoy me. Also, trance isn't a genre of music where you actually have to listen to it to enjoy it. It's just there, and pleasing to the ears. Plus there are some trance songs that really get to me. If I sit, close my eyes, and relax.. it's bliss. I can tollerate life without music, but not for too long. When I had an mp3 player (A Microsoft Zune. Seriously, get one. They're amazing. Down with ipod) I would listen to it all day during school. I usually wear long sleeves or a jacket, and I have long hair.. so it works. A teacher could be talking to my face and wouldn't notice. That, or wouldn't care. I'm usually on a teacher's good side. |

I love listening to music. It's a must have on a long car trip. I use my MP3 player during my breaks in college from classes. I used to listen to music before I went to bed, but now I don't. I should listen to music more often than I do now.

I can't live without my 80G iPod. It goes everywhere I go. I have to have music or I'll go nuts. I can't listen to it while I'm working unfortunately but boy it would be nice.

I don't think life would be as fun and enjoyable if I had to do my hw without music on, and my favorite episodes of Simpsons are the musical ones. My CD player and my earphones has always been there for me when I wanted to block out my lil sister ^o^ Hmm... I listen to a lot of stuff. I LOVE The Used. Then there's alternative rock, rock. R&B and contemporary is good listening, too. but pop depends on the artist, country depends on the artist... I'm not into it, but sometimes I find a good song or singer. I'm also into CPop (canto/chinese pop) and I recently found a love of rap in Jin (The Emcee) who raps in canto, but doesn't sound lame ^o^ It takes forever for my slow computer to load anything on youtube. I listen to yahoo radio a lot too! |
