Awww, but Eroy, the dragon wraps around the avatar's leg so nicely, hehe, and the cookie...well, random, but cute, nonetheless. I really love the new CI's! The panda on the chest kind of looks....well, a bit kinky, but sleeping panda's are just soooo adorable. The panda does seem to kind of be a copy cat of Gaia's pets though, in it's poses anyways. ;)

I wish people would stop comparing Mene's stuff to Gaia's. x.x
1. Gaia steals everything they create from elsewhere. They were not the original makers of headwings. They did not originate ninja headbands or Cheshire cats. And they certainly did not originate animals siting on heads or clinging to legs. 2. Gaia's been around for six years. It would be impossible to completely avoid things they've done, and why should Mene even try? As long as Mene makes things I like, I couldn't care less if it's similar to something a website I never visit created, especially since Mene has superior pixelists. |
Wow, Cami, I wasn't complaining, lol. It was just a random comment, and certainly not made to spark any negativity. I'm sorry if you took it that way.
As I said, I love the new CI's, but the poses are similar to Gaia's poses on pets. I didn't even say the items look like Gaia items, because they don't. I don't even play on Gaia anymore. I don't care that the poses are similar to Gaia's poses, I just happen to really like these items. As for how long Gaia or any of these other avvie sites have been around, really is a moot point for me, because I've only discovered these avvie sites in the last two years and really don't know much about their history. I like my pixels and I love my friends, and that's all that really matters. |
It's just annoying that every single item Mene creates gets compared to Gaia, even when they're not at all similar. And it's not even that people are saying they're similar, they're saying that Mene "copied" Gaia, which is just ridiculous.

Well, when everyone who is a member of Mene and Zanny and all the other avvie sites as well as Gaia, it stands to reason that those comparisons will get made. I don't think people are trying to be mean or anything when they make those comments...they just do so randomly, like I did.
Maybe some people do say it to be mean, but I would have to venture a guess that most times they don't. We are all entitled to our own opinions, and there is nothing wrong with voicing those opinions as long as we are doing so in a non-offensive manner. I just don't see my comment as being offensive in nature, though if it was offensive to you, then I do apologize. |
I'm not trying to attack you, Fiziali. I'm entitled to my opinion too. But you did call it a "copy cat of Gaia's pets", not just saying it was similar.
In any case, I was just expression my annoyance at the fact that people say these sort of things for just about every item Mene releases. Nothing against you personally. I would prefer not to argue in poor Eroy's thread. <3 |
Oh, hun, I'm not trying to argue with you! If anything, I'm just trying to be apologetic for having offended you, however unintentional it may have been.
*Darned internet and not being able to pass on voice inflections in the written word* None of this is being said in an argumentative tone or manner, as it is not intended that way at all. I did say copy cat but only the poses, not the pets themselves, and I did clarify that in the same statement. I again reiterate, I love the pets and it doesn't really matter to me if they copied Gaia's pet poses or not, they are still very adorable. Now I'll shut up before anything else I say gets mis-interpreted :P |

He looks so cuddly. I had kitties when i was younger, but developed an allergy to them as an adult. I still love them though.
