Ewww... a Spider!". Then she ran out of the house to the bus stop.. I was like "WTF!?!? Why did I wake up!"

@ KameOolong:
xDDD
You have to understand that spiders are very scary creatures!!
xD;;

I suddenly thought of this as I read your post about the Highlander spider...

I was watching TV one day, and on the wall crept a large spider...
Eep.

So I got a notebook and I smashed onto the wall...

It's leg is sticking out and there's spider guts glued to the wall...

And it's still there...
No one wants to clean it because it grosses us out to clean it up, so we just kind of...ignore it...
xDD

I'm not fond of bugs.

I feel better once I've gotten rid of them. \

A bee was buzzing around me this weekend while I was at a waterpark. He climbed into my salad and I closed the lid. You should have seen how people reacted when they noticed the bee trapped in my salad! It was hilarious.

This topic has made me envision a nasty spider the size of a watermelon perched atop a computer monitor going ">:E".

*shudder*

Sayumei 08-19-2007 09:05 PM

Ew, thats sounds scary, to me. Dx

I've had the same experience with an extremely large house spider, except not with my moniter. One time, late at night, when I was watching television in my bedroom, an enormous house spider cralwed up my wall. Now, being as scared of spiders I am, I freaked out and called for my dad. He came into my room, and the spider was gone. 15 minutes later, the spider was crawling up the wall in the exact same spot, sort of. I didn't really understand where it hid, seeing as it's basically a baige wall with nothing else. [ I live in an apartment, so my walls are plain, considering I'm not allowed to paint the walls. ]

Krissy 08-19-2007 10:07 PM

I hate spiders. >_> I've been bitten my fare share, and they weren't nice ones. ; 3; If any bug crawls on me/by me late at night, I freak out. @[email protected] It's just the way I am. I don't especially like them on me... I know that spiders don't live in my computer, because I have a good ole laptop. *Hugs it.* Ah. x333

Ehhh I've done that. I'm usually up until 2 or 3 am and I'll still scream at that time in the morning if I see a spider.

I'm having extreme difficulty keeping my bare feet on the floor after reading this..

There might be a spider nest inside your large monitor!! the warmth it creates will encourage them to breed

oh, and my sofa is far more comfortable to sleep on than my bed too, hence i've been sleeping on my sofa for the past 2 months ^.^ my bed is too hard and gives me back ache :(

My sofa is comfy as well...but both my futon and my sofa give me back aches, so I just sleep wherever I end up...be it on one of them or on the floor.

THAT HAPPENED TO ME THE OTHER NIGHT! I think I have a pretty good case of arachnophobia, because I freak out whenever I see a spider, large or small. They just scare me so bad I like, freeze whenever I see one and can’t even move for a few seconds. Either that or I shriek and run away to get someone to kill it for me. I’m a wuss when it comes to bugs, I can’t help it!

But the other night it was late and everyone was asleep, and I was on the computer, when this nickel-sized light brown creepy-ass looking spider crawls across the desk just in front of me and up around the monitor. I had to cup my hands over my mouth to keep from screaming! I jumped up onto the chair (I don’t really know why) and it didn’t seem to come back for a moment, so I relaxed a little and went back to what I was doing. Then after a few minutes it came back and started running in circles around my monitor, the little bugger was FAST! That time I squeaked and ran to the bathroom where I got my Super Ultra Mega Hold hairspray (yes, that is what it’s called) and a Cookie Lee catalog. By the time I got back the stupid thing had made its way to the bottom of the desk near the floor where I ATTACKED IT WITH HAIRSPRAY, and it froze in its tracks, and I sprayed it for like another minute until it couldn’t move at all. Finally I started smacking the thing with the book until it was naught but mush. I was hyperventilating.

So basically. I HATE SPIDERS. And always have hairspray handy.

Ewwww thats really gross. Luckily I take my laptop apart at least once a month to clean the fan and get rid of dust and I've never found one.

But, I do have two similar stories.
Back when I lived in Florida, there were these ucky, gross, thin yellow spiders that lived inside my moms car. Yes, her new 05 Tahoe. Eww D: I saw it one day in 7th grade climb from one air vent to the other. Right in front of me! Then it did it again and went back to the first air vent! We never caught it!!! I was too scared to even move!!! D:

Now, we have a spider living behind my moms passenger side rear-view-mirror. It makes webs over the mirror so she can't see it Dx
One of these days I'm gonna take a hose after school and flush the little sucker out! >D

Dystopia 08-20-2007 04:12 AM

Most of my friends have never seen me seriously express fear before, because I portray myself as a 'violent' person. Not like a gangster or anything, but I rarely cry and jokingly hit them. I make sure that they know I mean no real harm, though, because I don't want to actually, seriously harm them. But when an insect is near me... *shudders* I'm terrified of spiders. I don't even want to start on how they scare me. If I see one, I scream my head off for my parents. I remember when I was alone in the house, chatting with a friend on the phone, when I then saw a spider. =P I'm pretty sure I made a forum somewhere about how that worked out, just in case you've seen it.

Parasite 08-20-2007 04:41 AM

I absolutely hate spiders! I'm perhaps one of the worst arachnophobics you will ever meet! If I see a spider the size of a grain of sand, I will be screaming and running out of the house. ^^;

Okay, worst spider story? Let me think of one.Okay! Got it!
A few days back I had just taken my shower and sat my clothes down on the floor. I had forgotten about them for a while and came back a few hours later to put them in the laundry basket. When I picked them up, something fuzzy and black scurried out from underneath them. I recoiled in horror at this large ugly spider that had found its way inside my dirty clothes! After screaming like a sissy I mustered up the courage to kill the thing. I'm still afraid to touch dirty clothes now.

Unicorn 08-20-2007 04:52 AM

Oh God, spiders.
D:

Speaking of freaky spider stories and stuff...
A few years ago I was helping my parents clean out the shed, since we didn't want birds/mice/spiders/whatever else ruining all the stuff we've put down there.
Anyway, my dog was only a puppy back then, so of course he was snooping around while we were cleaning up.
Suddenly the dog ran out of the shed with something in his mouth, but we thought it was a small toy.
...
When we came out of the shed a little while later, we saw the dog drop this gigantic spider from his mouth, and it was still alive.
And the creepiest part was that because we were so close to the dog, the spider reared up, and instead of going after the dog, it went after us.
D:

I know it was probably just scared, but damn, from that moment on I've been terrified of spiders that are bigger than my pinky nail.

Egad. I hate hate hate bugs. Spiders mostly.

I was home alone one time and I noticed a huge spider that crawled out from underneath my closet door. I freaked out and sat still on my bed for 15 minutes watching it crawl about the carpet and going into the kitchen. I called my room mate (in tears) telling him to hurry home to kill a spider. He got annoyed and told me to kill it 'it isn't hard, slam a book on it.' So I carefully got off my bed, grabbed a book and tip toed near the spider. I slammed the book down, and missed.
It scurried off under the dish washer.
A few minutes later it was out and about, so I tried to slam another book on it, but again, I failed and it started to charge at me. I started screaming ran atop my bed and flung a magazine at it. I actually hit it, it crumpled up and laid by a stereo speaker.
I thought it was dead, so I tried to read while I awaited my room mate to get home to dispose of it.
Twenty minutes went by and all of a sudden, the spider was crawling into the kitchen.
D; It was a horrible night.

Heat attracts any kind of bugs.

If you can live a few days without your computer, or have a spare monitor, take the ones that you use and put them into separate garbage bags and leave them there for a few days, with a few big killer things (the kind that bugs crawl into and get trapped with poison and shit) and it should kill whatever's in there.

But, I for one, love bugs.
I really like spiders. I like to watch them trap other bugs in their webs and such. (: I think it's a beautiful part of nature that people take for granted, and amazingly artistic to watch a spider make a web.

The Silent Doll 08-21-2007 02:20 AM

I cannot tell you how much I hate spiders. I'm extremely arachnophobic, yet I could watch some extreme horror movie and be fine with it... but a spider scares me, about as bad, if not worse, than seeing a ghost infront of me would. I can handle the small ones, but if they're big, it's like I completely go into panic mode and don't know what to do. This happened recently; I figure I'll add my story in?

Basically, it was night time, and I was watching Futurama. I'm fourteen; my parents were asleep in the room next to me, and, well, we had to get up early and go to see my aunt the next morning, so I needed to get in bed soon.
Well, I just happen to look over at my curtain; here comes one of these really large yard spiders down my white curtain over my shelf.

I immediatly start freaking out; I mean this as in, sweating, pale, and near to crying.
So, since I do NOT want to touch it, I get this golf club I have in my room... by then I can't find it. I'm really freaked out by now and slowly prodding the curtain with the golf club. I still could'nt find it.

Suddenly, it comes skittering across the floor infront of me; I have dark green carpet in my room so it was really hard to see.
Conveniently the day before, I'd been digging around under my desk in a hurry and left a pile of magazines there, and the spider goes for those. I ALMOST hit it... but I missed and it skittered off. I looked for it for hours... apparently, as when I looked over at the clock it was 4:00 am, if not later.

I ended up getting my blankets and going to sleep in the living room.

Next day, my Mom can't find it either, so she sprays my room down with bug spray really well. I was scared to death to go back in there but managed to sleep that night, since my Mom kept telling me she was darn sure she'd killed it with that.

Next morning I wake up and am laying there... and look, and that spider's ON THE CURTAIN again. This time I got my parents, and my Dad smashed it.

Either way I haven't had a spider in my room since and I'm glad. That night... well, that night sucked, there is no better word for it.

I have no problem with spiders except the camel spider which IS VERY BIG look it up on google or photobucket if you dont believe me there like a size of a military boot in mens which is huge! O.O and the boqtooth [not sure how its spelled] but its from Africa its bad.

Enniel 08-21-2007 07:20 PM

sick sick sick. i hate spiders, but they seem to like me!! every time i spot one, its crawing on me

keokotheshadowfang 08-21-2007 10:47 PM

I love my trantula. I dont' mind other spiders I just don't like them in the house. I draw the line there!.

I didn't have a Spider in a computer. I had one in our Coucoo clock xD.
It was a HUGE thing about half the size of my baby (my trantula).

Christi 08-21-2007 10:54 PM

God, I haaate spiders, I hate spider webs even more though. They're always right in front of our front door and it's just awful. I always try to get my brother or parents to cut them away. That's how much I despise them. D:

xXMidnaXx 08-22-2007 05:56 AM

I understand we'd need spiders and other annoying animals to keep the bug population low so America isn't buried underneath 14 feet of bugs. I'd hate to live through such an awful thing since I hate bugs and spiders with every fiber of my being. I just wish that bugs would stay out of your house, its so annoying and disgusting! :(

Ewww, after reading that, I'm going to be srsly afraid of spiders for the rest of the night. D: THEYRE JUST EVERYWHERE, AREN'T THEY?
Uhm, last spring/early summer, our house had tons of spiders D: I was seeing them constantly. But the worst encounter had to be when I layed my head down on my pillow (lights were on), and I saw something move on my pillow case. But I couldn't see well because it was so close, and the angle. So I sat up, and there was a spider right there on my pillow case. DDDDD:
For days after that, I was certain there was a spider on me whenever I was in bed. One time I even LEAPED out of bed at like, 2 in the morning, swatting my legs because I thought a spider was on me. I then spent the next five minutes thoroughly inspecting myself and my sheets for spiders. Turns out it was just the drawstring to my sleep pants. It brushed my hand and felt all... spidery. Blech.
