Um... Embaressed Much?

Okay, so my mom is a high school teacher right? Well near the end of last school year she started advising the first ever Anime and Manga club the school ever had. Well the new school year has arrived and she asked me to help her with some stuff for the club...

At first I was like "Kick ass mama! I can't wait to help you and your young anime fans!" But... Then I found out what she wanted me to do...

My mom... Isn't really that aware of anything anime... In fact up until I got into it a few years ago, she didn't know there was a differance between hentai and mainstream anime! She has learned a bit more about it now but she is no where near being a buff on it...

So last night Mom asked me to type up a list... A list of Naughty anime terms... And their deffinitions... *Dies*

Of course she really REALLY needs them so that she can know whats up and can make sure her students don't get into anything that will get themselves in trouble or make her look irresponsible. So tonight I wnet on an internet expedition and got the proper spellings and deffinitions of all the dirty anime terms I knew...

Damn I know a lot of dirty anime terms... I also know a lot of filthy anime deffinitions...

Needless to say, I'm a little embaressed about giving my Big Ole' List Of Naughy Anime Terms to my Mama...

Lucky Lucky...

The next thing she wants from me is a list of infamous hentai animes... Not looking forward to compiling that list... *Shudders*

Well, it might be embarassing, but at least it's really important!

Although, you should totally redeem yourself by giving her a list of really good anime too. XD

Tre Le Coco 09-11-2007 01:36 PM

LOL you'll be there all night then xDDDD'

Sizzla 09-11-2007 01:53 PM

Seems like she's just looking out for the best interests of the club.

I also agree with Pink -- be sure to recommend some good anime to her for them to watch! And nothing dubbed! Subtitles only! XD

I wish I was in an anime club. It's been awhile since I've seen anything good. T_T

I don't believe that there's ever been an anime club at my school.
I'm not too sure if many people here are into that.

As for your mom, heh that would embarrass me too.

Goodluck on the club though, and with all those lists. xD

Gynne 09-11-2007 02:37 PM

I totally would've gone through all that trouble in high school to have an anime club. There'd be all of...ten member TOPS. Haha. Guess that's why it never happened. xD Now I'm in college and my anime club is my circle of friends. : D

Hm, I can understand the embarrassment of such a situation. Well, I know what I would do if my mom asked about it:
mom- so, how did you know all these terms?
dae- ... i didn't know them before...
mom- -eyebrow raise-
dae- googled it... it's easy...

We have an anime club on campus and they invite high school students to come be apart of it, and let them watch anime that isn't to extreme in way of violence. (Responsibility eh?). I think they also let them be apart of fund raising so they have an idea about what goes on when they do come to school here and join the club.

wow. thats crazy. the teacher that held anime club for our school was never in te room when the meetings were going on. and so the club did whatever they wanted to. a few guys from out of high school would come down and bring some disgusting stuff that epople would watch. i quickly dropped out of the club. it wasnt worth it there was no supervision people watched disturbing disgustiong dubbed anime and it was just a waste.
at least your mom is being good with it. i would hate for any one elses anime club to go to hell like ours did. </3

Unless it's Cowboy Bebop. The CB dub is way better than the sub.

^o^ you keep spelling definitions wrong, btw.

Haha. My dad thinks all japanese mangas are filthy. He reads chinese mangas.

I love anime! But there aren't any teachers at my high school willing to sponsor the club. T_T I wish I joined the one at my middle school...

The chess club I go to is almost basically /anime club because almost all the kids there are into it, but the teacher isn't, and so wasn't the founder/exPresident.

You've got to tell your mom to bring in Pocky to the meetings! nothing beats Pocky and anime ^o^

aliira 09-13-2007 04:34 AM

lol

im glad my parents hardly know anime exists

That's what I thought when I heard that Anime club was going to be started at my school. I figured everyone would be too afraid to join in fear of being called dorks or something, yet it turned out to be one of the biggest and most successful clubs at our school.

We're going to start an LOL club at mine. It's actually not pathetic as it might sound- we've got a lot of stuff lined up to make the campus a happier, more interesting, and potentially a more respecting place. For instance, we're thinking of hosting a stand up comedy night (profits not being used to fund other events will go to organizations to help fight depression), and our very own school post secrets.

I'm looking forward to the school post secrets the most. It's so interesting to see the ones online, and I can't even imagine the ones we could get at school. It will hopefully make people realize that we all have secrets, and create a more respectful environment when people realize that we all have to go through crap. However, it could also end in kids trying to vandalize and making a joke out of it... :/ It's kind of up in the air, yet we want to try it anyways.

Amo_Angelus 09-13-2007 05:10 AM

What's the problem? -is thoroughly lost- Why would you be embaressed about something like that?

galdon 09-13-2007 05:36 AM

i personally hate parents who dont try to learn things themselfs, why doesnt she look it up herself instead of making you do it for her?

my parents suck as far as that goes, no matter what anime it is, they call it 'pokeemons'
