Alphonse was one of the first ones awake...if Edward sitting up all night could be counted as sleeping. He cracked an eye and lolled it around, wondering where he was for all of three seconds. "Ughnnn..." He rolled to a sitting position and looked over to where his 'clothes' lay...he would have to find his own sometime..but for now, he dressed in Edward's borrowed pants and shirt and then started to rummage for whatever was left from the day before. |
[XD the water... was a brush i downloaded XD the brush collection i have is perfect for making backgrounds. the fence was a brush, so was the stars on the sky and on the wtare. the background took a total of like.. 15 mins LOL. im glad you liked it. after i was done the xmas art i was like "whew, now.. to work on more" LOL]
I cracked upen a weay eye, I didnt sleep all too well and picked up my head and yawned, sending a weary wave to Alphonse and looked at the empty futon. "Ed.. did he fall asleep in the spring?" i stood and walked tot he door, sliding it open quickly. [Im guessing hes still.. naked?] I saw him sitting on the rock nearest to me, still node, his legs up and blocking my view. I turnt completely red and fell over inside sliding the door shut. "E-Edward! Do you need your clothes??' I said with a raspy, shaky voice, my back against the paper thing sliding door. My face was bright red as i met gazes with Alphonse, grinning. |

Edward turned and looked over his shoulder, startled by the sudden crash that was Shiba falling over. "OH!" He realized, jerking the towel that he'd set beside him up and making a hurried cover-up. "Uhh..y-yes, if you would." He moved to where he could grab his things when they came by the door, wondering if she was still alive. "How'd you sleep last night?" He asked. "And how's the Colonel?" |

I picked up his clothes, that lay folded neatly on the table and slid open the door and looked into his eyes. "H-here ya go.." the pocket watch fell from inside the pile onto my foot and I squeaked, looking down at it as my toe bled. "Dammit all.." I picked up the watch and looked it over then handed it to him. "Its okay, no nicks." I smiled. "How did I sleep? Now too well.." I scratched the back of my head as I slid the door shut for his privacy and I yawned, keeping my hack to the door, but still spoke to him. "The Colonel, I didnt check on him... but he looks less pale than yesterday, which is good.." |

"Thanks...uh, sorry about the watch thing.." He stood and slipped on his clothes before stuffing the offending peice of metal into his pocket. "Is your foot alright?" "Well, that's more than me." He chuckled. "Are you still going with us...or are you going to stay here?" He cocked his head back when she mentioned the Colonel and he nodded. "At least he didn't die while he was here...that would have looked bad on all of us..Al up yet?" Alphonse poked his head out of the other room, and nodded at the door with a scowl, his mouth stuffed with leftovers. "Uf courf." He swallowed. "I'm always up before you anyway." |

"No biggie, my foot is fine." I clapped and touched where my toe bled and made it as good as new. i sat down at the table and pulled my brush from my bag and brushed my hair from the night before. "You didn't sleep? I left Al's futon for you, ya know." I groaned. I stood, picking up my clothes and toothbrush with me and went into the bathroom and quickly changed and brushed my teeth. I came back out in my usual whate tank, strapped to my neck and arms and tight blue jeans. I was still buckling my belt as I exited the bathroom and I yawned, walking over to roys side. "Ohhh Muuussssttttaaaannnngggg" I mewed and poked his cheek. He groaned. "Riza.. not now..." He muttered. I laughed. "That explains alot..." I announced, winking at Edward from across the room. |

Al, who had moved over to the Elric's luggage, looked over and scoffed, the Colonel must really still be out of it. Ed, on the other hand had to cover his face with a hand to keep from laughing too loud. "Shiba, you're terrible." He chuckled, after calming down a little and moving by Alphonse. "We all set? I don't think the Colonel will complain too much, if we leave him here for the cleaning crew to sweep out, would he?" Alphonse turned and looked up. "I'm sure he'd be quite irate." "Well, all the more reason then, everything in there...would hate to leave anything behind." "Yes, everything's in here...Except..." He looked over to where he'd laid out the oil and cloth that he'd used way back when to keep his armor functional. "Ed...I'm...I'm a little scared..going back..after all this time.." |

After Roy rolled over, tucking himself in tighter I shrugged and stood. We had to be out by noon, and it was 9 am now, so he had time to sleep. I moved back to my bag and shoved my brush and planner and anything else I could find into it and slung it over my back. It was weired only having one bag. I went to Al's side and just smiled, laying my arm around his shoulder. "Alphonse... no need to be scared.. is this always what you wanted?" I looked into his brown eyes and smiled warmly. "I like you better this way... your warm and fleshy" I pulled at his cheek. "And oh so much more adorable than the armor!" |

They're going to see you walking down the road, and then you'll hear Winry screaming from the balcony:" He lifted his voice a pitch and made an angry grimace. " 'How many times do I have to tell you! Then Granny will be there at the door like she always is, and blow out a puff of smoke and grin, that creepy money-grubbing grin of hers and comment 'So Ed, Al, who's your friend..' " He looked over at Shiba. "You are coming right?" He asked. "If you don't that'll throw my whole scenario out of whack." "Ed.." Alphonse stood with the bag and quirked an eyebrow. "You're a little weird this morning aren't you...didn't sleep well again?" "Shut up. I'm trying to make you feel better if you haven't noticed...ingrate." |

"Oh Al, you worry too much, of course theyre gonna be thrilled!" I looked up at Edward, grinning then nodded, my smile fading. "Of course I'm coming... Not like youll leave me a choice, giving me a face like that" I poked "Ed's forehead and stuck my tongue out at him. "Cmon, we should leave before he wakes up... dont feel like running into him... and be nice to your brother... he's feeling awkward, alright? You both have like, matching clothes on... and I'm sure the ones Al is wearing are a little small..." I pointed at his exposed wrists and giggled. I headed for the door, slipping my shoes on and stepping into the hallway. "So, how are we getting there?" |

"That's good, I'd hate to have used it and you not go with us." Ed smiled and poked his own tounge out. "Yes, Mom, I'll be nice." He was already into the hall, with Al right behind, when he actually stopped to explain the routine. "Risembool is a few days from here, so we usually take a train to a from the Rockbell's place. There should be one running that way about noon." |

I laughed as I saw his tongue; a rare sight, and I stuck mine out again, the nodded. "Good. Now that we're all nice and such, Edward, why dont you carry the suitcase I always see Al carrying? Hes not armor anymore, so its gotta be heavy for him." I headed outside; It was pretty cloudy and I groaned. "Looks like rain..." I muttered, looking over at Ed. "What will we do until Noon? Hm... wanna go out for breakfast??" I smiled, knowing Al would love a good meal for once, instead of room service. |

Al almost tripped he turned around so fast. "Are you serious! We can go out for breakfast?!" He nodded at Edward emphatically, and his brother sighed. "Alright, alright, spaz, Shiba, where do you want to go? I've still got funds from research, so I can cover the bill this morning." Alphonse smiled and let out a hissed 'yes' as he turned and folded his arms behind his head as he walked. "Geeze, it's been awhile since I've seen him like this...it's almost like the first day that Teacher took us to Yock Island....right before we realized what our 'training' really consisted of." I nodded. "In celebration of your new body! Now lets not make it fat, alright?" I smiled at him as I kept my pace alongside Edward. I looked over at Ed and smiled. "Theres a diner a few blocks from here, they have the best breakfast, on the cheap too! Its where I go when I have extra money! And... are you sure you wanna pay? I can go halfsies to make it easier on us.. and I should find some work to afford my wn train ticket..." I looked around as we exited the Inn, the service women bowing as we left. I quirked an eyebrow. "Training on Yock Island? How in the word is that training? Isnt it abandoned and like, descolate?" I yawned, adjusting the strap over my shoulder and looked at my bare hands. Since I met the Elric brothers, I kept my gloves off more than usual.. probably because I trusted them seeing my scarred hands and I like to feel them when I wanted to. I looked at Ed's hand swaying back and fourth at his side and debated wether or not to grab it... but decided not to, he probaby was the type of guy that was ashamed of public displays of effection. |

Edward shook his head. "I'm sure, it's only fair since I'm dragging you back home with me." Edward and Alpohonse nodded. "Yep, it was only the two of us while we were out there." "Don't forget Mason brother." "That's right! That creep, how could I forget, I lost a lot of sleep because of him!" He growled, remembering all the attacks that he and Alphonse had went through in order to figure out 'All is one, one is all'. |

I sighed, glancing over at him. "But you always pay for me... and its not like I take up much room..." I scratched the back of my head and groaned; I hated having someone pay for me, and I'm sure we'd be staying at Winry's... so Ill havta come up with some way to pay them for their hospitality. "Man, seems like you guys had some tough training to become the great alchemists you are..." I yawned, approaching the inn. "Here we are" I smiled, looking over at the brothers. I smiled, shaking my head. "I doubt I would have been able to endure something like that...Im a big baby when it comes to training." I patted both the boy's heads. "Now now, no fighting, Ed needs to get taller sometime right?" I grinned, sticking out my tongue at him, flinching, waiting for his attack. Entering the diner, we were showed to a small booth. I sat down next to the window and scooped up the menu and looked through it. "Its been so long since Ive been here..." |

Edward stiffened and stopped as Shiba and Alphonse moved ahead. "That was low......very...very...low." He twitched and shuddered, following the two inside. "When was the last time you came Shiba?" Alphonse asked, taking his place, opposite of Edward and Shiba, and picking up his own menu. |

I looked back at him, who had stopped and I took a tight grip around his neck, bringing his face close to mine. "Come on, you know I was only kidding, sweety! I like you just the way you are!" I released him as I sat down. I watched him as he sat down beside me. I smiled at him. I looked to Al and thought for a moment. "Had to be...about two years ago..." I looked back in the menu. "I either usually miss breakfast because of me sleeping in or im in class during that time.." I grinned, and pointed. "Im getting the 4 stack and sausage." I smiled, placing the menu on the table, and rested my head on my palm and stared out the window in a blissful daydream. |

Edward couldn't help but grin like an idiot, still doing so as he sat down. "Edward, your teeth are going to fall out." He didn't hear it. "I can't see how you can stand to miss such a vital meal." Alphonse said as his nose went further into the menu, debating between two plates, and then seriously considering getting both. "That sounds good..." He mumbled and then his head disappeared altogether into the menu Edward looked over and smiled. "Penny for your thoughts." He said with a tap on Shiba's shoulder. |

I did see him grinning and smiled back, then returned to gazing out the window. I continued to stare as I responded to Al's statement. "When... you live put on the streets and have no money, its easy to miss a meal..." I said, half closing my eyes. It was nice to be with them, but something was telling me inside that it was wrong to have them be paying for everything and that its wrong for me to be living so well in the past few weeks with them. I was interrupted by his tap and smiled at him weakly. "Just thinking of what Im going to do when I get back here." I said calmly, glancing over into his amber eyes. |

"And that would be?" Edward queried further, he wasn't trying to pry, but he was a bit curious. He hadn't even thought about what he was going to eat, but with a little nudge from his stomach (a growl that he felt all the way into his mid-section) He smiled quickly and deemed it nessacary to do so. "Even so, that's still a while yet, we haven't even left and you're already wanting to come back home?" |
I glanced at him a bit suprized at him.
"Edward, I live on my own, I have to plan ahead if I want to survive in this lame world. Sure, ill be 'freeloading' for a while, but then what? Ill be coming back here to work... so I cant relax for too long, and you should know, I dont depend on others too much... Im always stabbed in the back after I put my trust in someone..." I leaned forward and fiddled with a napkin. "Ive always gotta plan ahead." I said softly, keeping my eyes from him. I coulodnt help but wonder how Winry would react to me... if shed make me sleep outside... or in a different room than Edward... or fight me for his affection... or maybe I should just have a talk with her and see how she feels about him? All in due time... |
Edward looked over a little taken aback at Shiba's seriousness.
"I know all that, but for once, can't you just relax? At least for right now? You don't have to worry about all that stuff while we're here." "Ed's right, at the risk of sounding cliche, we have your back Shiba." Alphonse surely meant well, but it was hardly reassuring while he was focused on the choices in front of him. |
