Kiri turned to Shiba as she made her way to the bank.
"I have no past.." He gaze fell to her palms. "And possibly no future as well..the present is a blur and to think of it frightens me..." She turned her clear blue eyes to her companion. "I've never had time on my hands before...I don't know what to do with it." She blinked then and tilted her head innocently. "What is 'paint'?" Kiri had heard the term..but never about the act. Edward looked around, once, twice and then again. "Where's Kiri? And Shiba for that matter?" "Kiri...I'm not sure, but she can't be far..Shiiba went to wask up at the creek. I promised her that neither you or I would peek, so you can stay there Edward." "Please....as if I'd chance anything like that...without cover." He grinned earning him a groan from his brother. |
::I looked to her and questionably and asked "why?"
I sighed and walked up to her, sitting on a nearby rock and slipping on my socks "Paint.. it makes art.. pictures that you create with your hands and a brush.." It was kind of odd she didnt know this... was she human? I saw Ed out of the corner of my eye and waved and yelled to him "GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!!":: |
Kiri sighed and looked away.
"The present is the only thing that is certain for me..and even then it's foundation is shaky. I'm confused enough as it is." She saw the confusion and suspicion in Shiba's eyes and she faltered. "Ah! Was that weird? I didn't mean it to be. I just meant that I haven't seen anyone paint before." She blushed and waved her hand in front of her. Edward blanched as Shiba called to him, and waved lamely back to the two of them. "Great....there they are." |
::I smiled "ill have to paint for you sometime.." i slipped my shoes on and stood and looked over my shoulder at her "you coming?"
i ran up to Edward and smiled "did you sleep well? Whats the plan for today?" I had to make some time to gather rocks and pigment for my paints... I also had a painting to do before Monday and I needed a model for it. I didnt have the nerve to ask Edward...Al was out of the question.. and Kiri was way too fidgety to stand still nude for a few hours:: |
For once...she smiled.
"I'd like that." With a nod she followed Shiba back to camp. Edward groaned. "Not really....I keep forgetting how hard ground is." He turned to Kiri and sighed. "What else can we do...we'll have to report back to Mustang and then get rid of her." He jerked a thumb at the blonde as she tilted her head. Her eyebrows lowered and her gaze turned dark. "I told you I'm not going to be dropped off with the Military. "Well, what else can we do? You won't leave, and I don't want to have to deal with Scar again!" He turned to Alphonse and Shiba. "Unless you two have a better idea?" |
::I sighed and Looked to Edward "well...again I dont think this concerns me... I have to go into town and find a model... I have a painting to do. So... you two figure things out and Ill be back here by sundown, alright?"
I yawned and picked up my bags "I have some jobs I need to find so I can pay a model" I shrugged and waved walking off:: |
Edward sighed.
"Just remember, we'll be leaving early, and we won't wait for you." He turned back and looked at Kiri, sighing. "Now what to do with you...." She quirked an elegant brow and crossed her arms. "You can decide that on your own." She turned and ran after Shiba. "Wait for me!" She called. "Two working are better than one!!" Kiri was starting to like Shiba. For the time, she had found a kindred spirit. Her feelings were still askew, but the longer she stayed with people...Kiri felt as though they, as well as her memories would eventually straighten themselves out. |

::I groaned "I didn't expect you to wait up for me..." I waved and was kind of suprized to see Kiri flail to my side "Oh well, you wanna join me? Alright, ill teach you some tricks of the trade." I grinned and walked on, nearing a construction site. Putting my bags into a nearby alley, I looked to her "we just need to make some honest money.." I look around and transmute the ground into a small table. then I find a pile of new newspapers and transmute them into cups. "You can make water, right? Fill these up and ill get the men coming. Charge 50¢ per cup and we'll have enough for a warm meal and a model in no time. I have other business to make..." I slyly walk over to a pile of bricks and bump them over with a swirl of my hips, they fall to a pile of rubble and one of the workers comes by "OH NO! If the boss sees this, he'll have my head!!!" I smile at him, pretending to just overhear him "Oh hello. For a fee, I can fix that for you.." the worker smiles, practically crying and hands me a 20. "Please!!" he prays. I smile and clap and transmute the pile of rubble to bricks again. I smile and wave to him:: [if you send me a DETAILED description of Kiri, ill draw her out. please include her clothing. colors and such, hair color, length.] |
Kiri smiled and nodded..looking a lot like a puppy.
She followed Shiba into town, flinging her cloak over her shoulders. In the alley, she accepted the cups and looked at them. "I can't...make water...control it yes." She looked around and found a partially broken pipe..leaking. She smiled and set all the cups up in a row. Kiri then clapped her hands and smiled noting Shiba's cleverness. Honest money huh? She continued working, filtering the water from all the other elements in it and pouring enough into each of the cups in turn, she then moved them onto a crate that she set out in the street and took a seat beside it. For all her smiles and waves, Kiri was still on edge...a few times it had been military that had come by to purchase the water...she would smile and take their money then steady her shaking knees as they walked on. Shiba... she thought. This had better buy you FIVE models at the end of the day. She sighed and leaned back against the wall, waiting on other people to show an interest. |
::After a few hours of haggling I walk up to Kiri, my pockets stuffed to the brim with cash, a few pieces of jewelry, watches and i smile "How'd you do there? I see youre still okay"
I look at the crate and grin "I see your water was a great hit. Good idea huh?" I give her a thumbs up and laugh "Ed's sure gonna be jealous to see we ate a good healthy breakfast" I wipe the sweat from my brow and look to her:: [POST in angelic twins. Anyakan is getting impatient. she woke up early along with me to rp with you >.>] |

Kiri looked back from where she was running a small line of water around her wrists, the small crowd afixed to her hands. "Not as drinking water." She said simply. "But the people here really seem to like my ability." She smiled and nodded thinking of how Edward was going to pitch a fit when they finally returned. He wouldn't leave without them, Kiri was sure of that now...he'd been....she couldn't really say that he'd been doing anything...but it was the way he looked at Shiba...there was a kindred fire there...so as long as she stuck with her...Kiri could follow Edward and Alphonse with little to no trouble. "I see you made off with a pretty big haul yourself." She noted with a giggle. |
::I laugh "well, c'mon, lets gooo, my famished!!! I'm sure you are too!!" I pull her up by her wrist and wave the crowd "Sorry gentlemen, shes mine now!!!" I hug her and kiss her cheek playfully. They all groaned and walked off; same sex relationships weren't really approved upon and I laughed, releasing her "Thats a good crowd buster. Lets go, I saw a diner nearby that smelled sooo good!" I walk over to the alley and haul my bags back over my shoulder "maybe we can find a model too, while we're in the diner. Im sure one of the poor waitresses will pose for me for a pretty penny"::

Kiri blushed profusely as Shiba hugged and kissed her.
"R-right..." She stammered. Physical....contact? In all her travels...Her Aniki had never once.... "What was that?" She asked keeping her head low and her face hidden. "What did...what did you do to me?" She lay a hand over her stomach feeling it rumble and looked away...she was hungry..but not that she would admit it to Shiba. |
::I looked over at her, not even thinking about what i did just then "Calm down, I was only joking. It was just an act to bust up the crowd. I'm sorry if i made you feel uncomfortable."
Reaching the diner, I walked in, holding the door for Kiri. I plopped down in a seat and piled my bags down and yawned. The waitress walked over and handed us 2 menus and cold water and walked off. I sip it and ask her calmly, "so, you a virgin?":: |
She shook her head and waved.
"N-No it....that's not it." She was silent until they reached the diner, then she picked up her menu and felt her face return to a normal temperature. "A what?" She asked genuinely confused. "Is that some kind of disease?" |
::I looked to her as the waitress took our orders and walked off with the menus. I laugh "uhm.. never mind, Ill take that as a 'why Yes Shiba, I am'" I sip my coffee and look out the window "Eds gonna be jealous we ate such great food, I cant wait to rub it in his face"::

Kiri's lip jutted out in confusion, but she shook her head and looked at the menu.
"Shiba...do you like Edward?" She asked, her eyes glancing over some of the dishes there. "You seem to like picking on him a lot." She took a sip of the water that was beside her elbow and nodded. |
::i blush and almost choke on my coffee "who, me? Like Edward?? PSHH that short little.... no, Kiri I don't. Why, do you like him?" I lied though my teeth. He was adorable, but I couldn't tell her that, she might tell him and I wouldn't be able to face him.
The waitress placed our breakfast down and i looked her over "hello..." i squinted, pushing my glasses up the bridge of my nose, reading her nametag "...Cindy. Mind if I ask when your shift is over?" She smiled "12." she looked at her watch "In about a half hour. why?" I smile "I'm an artist and I need a model. Mind posing for me for some cash?" I flash her a few 20's and look to her. She nodded "That'd... be great. I need the cash. Ill meet you out front then." I nod and look back to Kiri. "I was gonna ask Ed to pose but I knew he'd prolly have a fit." i laugh. "his automail would be neat to paint. and i'm sure he's pretty built, with all the running around he does.":: |
Kiri shook her head innocently.
"No..I have a duty to Aniki first and foremost...Edward is his enemy...and in turn mine as well." She looked into her glass and watched the ice melt. "But...there is a simillarity...in the way that you two look at each other." She shrugged. "I don't know why." ((Gomen Must run to class)) |

::I finished my coffee and dug into my breakfast. "Aniki? Whos that? What do you guys have against him?" I say with my mouth full. "If you don't like Ed, why do you stick around? Do you plan to befriend him, then stab him in the back... because if thats your plan, I cant let you do that." I swallow and my eyes narrow, I look at her over my glasses. I sipped my water, washing down my food and placed it down "What do you mean, a 'similarity'? Does Ed look at me?I never noticed... Im so confuzzeled.." Finishing my food, I sit back and rub my stomach "Whoo...good food.":: |
Kiri tilted her head trying to be tactful in her answer.
"Aniki...is the man...that Edward and Alphonse call 'Scar'. There is a long history of bloodshed that drives him to want to kill Edward, but that is for him to explain, it is not my place." She picked around in her food only taking a few bites. "I'm not here to befriend him. I stick around because he is the one sure way that I can reunite with Aniki without spending more time looking for him. My fight is not with Edward..or his brother, I wish neither of them harm. However...I am indebted to Aniki....he's been the only family I've known...and I'll do anything I can to assist him, all he is required to do is ask." Her eyes had fell to her plate and wavered there. She felt tears welling in them, but blinked them away when Shiba changed the topic. "Oh? You never noticed...well then, I'm afraid I can't tell you, you'll have to look and see for yourself." She laughed and nodded, at last finishing off a quarter of her plate. Kiri hadn't noticed...not until that moment...that there was a slight tingle in her palm. It grew, no longer tingling, but a burning that quickly spread up her arm and flared over her shoulder. "Ugh!" She bit into her lip and suddenly grasped her right wrist. She shot a glance to Shiba and then doused her hand in the water that was left on the table...it sizzled and then was calm. "Sorry about that...I really should learn moderation." She looked about, trying to find a quick exit. |
::I look to her worried "Well, I'll watch over you until you reunite with Scar. Just, dont try to hurt the boys, if you have nothing against them yourself."
I blushed "Hpmh. Ed doesn't like me, not like..that anyway....he's too self-absorbed to even think about..women.." I waved the waitress over for the check and saw her starting to freak out. "Oh my god! Are you alright??" I got up and walked around to her side of the table and out my arm around her. I left some money on the table and helped her walk outside. "Was it the food? Was it something I said?? Can I do anything to help?":: |
Kiri held tightly to her wrist as Shiba helped her out of the diner.
"No...it's...it's nothing." She glanced around, seeming to find military officers wherever she looked. "I get...I get this way sometimes...it just needs to rest." She stopped inside a doorway and smiled weakly, still guarding her hand. "I really should thank you....for...for looking out for me....but it's really not necessary." She lay her hand behind her back against the wall and refused to move it, it still burned through her glove, but it was beginning to wane. |

::I slung her arm over my shoulder "c'mon, ill get us a hotel room for you to rest in, and for me to paint my model." I saw the waitress waiting and waved her over. She smiled and helped me carry you, and some of my bags, to a nearby inn. After paying, we went into the empty room and we lay you out on the bed carefully. I looked you over "Are you hot? Do you want me to remove your clothing? Or open a window?" The waitress sat and waited patiently, looking over at Kiri, worried, but not knowing what was wrong, or how she could help in any way.:: |
Kiri nodded, her eyes dancing around and followed Shiba.
Inside the room was cool and Kiri merely shook her head and sat back in a dark corner on the matress that was shielded from the sun by the closest wall. "No, I'm fine really....just...need to rest is all." She smiled weakly, finally relieved to be off the open streets. "Go ahead with your work, I'll be right over here if you need anything." She curled into a ball and lay her head on her knees tracing a finger along her palm. I really should learn the meaning of moderation...but if she finds out......could she....would she...? Kiri's stare fell to the floor by the bed and she sighed. She would cross that bridge when she came to it. ((I love it! She's adorable!!)) |
