The Backstreet Boys
Remember the Backstreet Boys? I do. I was a big fan of theirs back when I was young and naive haha. But they're coming back again. Did you hear they're making a new album? What are your thoughts on that? I would have figured they're too old to be making a new album as a BOY BAND now, but oh well.
Remember the good old days whenever they were considered cool? haha. Good times right? Discuss away! Now they're a boy band who's oldest member is 34, and who's youngest member is 27. Time for some of these guys to grow up in my opinion. They're using their name as a novelty to get money in my opinion, because they're broke now. I could be wrong. Please don't go Chris Crocker on me for dissing the Backstreet Boys xD |

I've always been a fan of their music. As for them using their name as novelty, well... if they were to change their name, most people would still refer to them as the Backstreet Boys. They are most known for that name, so I would understand them keeping it. If they were to change it, it would only leave people in confusion, and have little to no effect I'm sure. So might as well stick to their original name. |
I can understand why they don't change their name; people wouldn't recognize them. You'd get half the world referring to them by their new name, half as "Backstreet Boys"...... Not worth it. If they last, it'll be be weird to call them "boys" when they're in their forties or fifties..... XD Oh well. I kind of wish that N*SYNC would make a new album.... I used to love them.

I use to like them a lot when I was younger. I remember when their single Incomplete came out. It was pretty good for a comeback, I must say. But I have heard their most recent single Inconsolable and I like it. :D

I have liked them since they came out and still do. I have all of their albums, at least all of the ones that came out in America. They are really great, and I can't wait for their new album. I have only heard one song from that album though: Inconsolable. It's very hip and new. It's not really too much pop-y like, kind of like alternative pop.

EEEEEWWWWWW! I remember when my friend Alicia was obsessed with them! I hated it. That's all she'd talk about. At that time I was more into The Greatful Dead, Led Zeppelin, Pantera, Metallica, Nirvana, and Older rock bands.

Remember? They've already had their comeback, haven't they? I haven't listened to the radio in nearly a decade, so I don't know how they sound now, but boy bands got a bad reputation in the United States, so I guess they'd be considered "uncool" either way. I still love their original album. I have three of their CDs, but the first one is really the only one I ever listened to. And wow, did I LOVE it. ^^

Well, yes, they did have their comeback. But their new cd came out a little while ago, and they're going on a new tour.
I became of fan of the Backstreet Boys when I was eight, following my five years older sister in her fandom. I still know all of their songs by heart, even from the previous cd (which was their first "comeback" cd). 'tis actually a pretty nice cd, and their sound hasn't really changed. This new one isn't all that, though. My sister and I, while not being -real- fans anymore, still listen to it, sort of out of respect for our past fandom. And we are planning to go to their concert, because those are always fun. But seriously, the new cd isn't that nice. I think it has to do with Kevin Richardson going solo now. He always had a lot to do with writing the songs, along with Alexander James (AJ) McClean. Guess they were the creative geniuses. From the new cd, there are like 3 - 4 really nice songs. Which is pretty decent, considering how I have cd's on which I only like one song. But still. If you're not really a fan, don't get it. |

I remember being in the third grade, listening to their music -all- the time. I thought they were the best. It's nice knowing they're still making music, something I sure they loved to do. I hope they do well ^_^ |
My sister used to love them. I was actually going through a weird "I only like music without words" phase at the time. Thank goodness thats over.

My parents and my friends say I used to love the backstreet boys when I was a kid but I don't believe them that I used to listen to them all the time. They claim I had CDs and posters and all that which I don't believe at all haha.

wow. I still love them to this day. I just recently saw AJ do a solo concert in LA in March. he was phenomenal. Their music helped me through so much when I was in high school. I love these guys. I was actually just listening to them today as I was cleaning up.
My favoritest song ever (even though its new) is Never Gone from Never Gone.... its so good. They're all branching off and doing their own thing but they keep coming back together and doing stuff because they love it, I think. They have a passion for music and its hard to shake it. I love music and musical theater... and as uncool as that is I don't think I could ever stop performing musical theater no matter what. I think its the same thing with them and their music. just my thought. |
They're not really that bad, but I was, sad to say, as obsessed with them as the rest of my school, back in third grade.
Eh. At least they weren't the ones to produce Justin Timberlake; I hate that bastard. >.< |

I enjoy their music. Say what you want about them but they are fairly good preformers.
When I was Jr. High it was the high point in their career, so yeah I had the posters and cd's. I wasn't crazy about them, but since my friends were doing it I just went along with it too. I went to the Backstreets Back concert, I remember laughing at all the screaming really obsessed fans. |
OMG! I was in love with them waaay back in middle school and thats about 7-8 years ago. O.O lol..they're still very awesome though....a boy band legend. lol

I still listen to old Backstreet Boys stuff. I haven't heard any of their new stuff. Maybe I should check into that. When I was younger, I thought A.J. was incredibly cute. I wonder if he's cute nowadays...
