Most blockbusters are American...They come out in England after America. You won't have heard of most English or Welsh films...Like Mischeif Night, The Full Monty and Brassed up (to name a few) But then there are 28 days later, the wicker man and other such films which are British and somehow became popular...

28 days later amused me so much. But you know, I spent the entire film wondering how on Earth they managed to film London that empty! Apparently they had a lot of trouble and it can't be done again any time soon because of the 7/11 bombings... But yeah, British films generally tell things how they are whereas American films paint rosey pictures and everything has a happy ending so British films generally don't go over too well. The origional Itallian Job was a Brit Flick too...Evil ending! What kind of moron leaves the film with the bus hanging off the edge of the cliff? |
