Angel : Just don't get Resident Evil : Dead Aim, it was a horrible arcade style third/first person shooter...on the PS2, it sucked pretty bad, traded it in to EB games a long time ago haha.
Onion : PoC is Pirates of the Caribbean I believe. |
hehe that it does. I love the Resident evil games, although for some reason 4 is still my favourite. Gun survivor scared the bejezus out of me and the save points were so infrequent >_> I'm glad one's been re-released for the DS. Makes me happy ^_^ And I want to play 4 on the wii... Not that I'm addicted and have to have them on every console or anything... *hides her stash*

I just can't believe everyone's having a fuss about 5 because he's shooting black people, so it's instantly racist.
But in 4 you get to shoot Spaniards, that's so not racist apparently. |
5 isn't out here yet. If we're claiming rascism... I claim rascist because it's ALWAYS white people getting shot! That's racist against whites! Stupid black people. Everythings racist against blacks. There's more negative stuff about white people than any other colour and yet the moment it's against blacks it's bloody racist. STFU AND SUCK IT UP! *goes off on a rant*
No wonder true racism doesn't get the punishment it deserves. It's so hard to ween out the actual rascism from the fake. *is reminded of the boy who cried wolf* |

I love RE4.
Kain: I don't mind, I walk around in my boxers a lot anyways. |
I haven't played a Resident Evil game since Dead Aim and RE2, but it looks like they've changed from zombies to "diseased humans" is it any better having a decent challenge in terms of enemy AI? or is it pretty much shoot, run, collect item, open door, repeat?

There are puzzles in 4 and DS...
But RE is a shoot em up game first and foremost. It will always be primarily shot and grab... |
Ah yes, the puzzles, the bosses, the not dying...how could I forget those key components? Haha.
I like games with a decent AI, I've played a lot of games where the AI is almost non-existent, it bothered me a lot. u.u And I dislike slow zombies, the kind that would take a whole minute to get to you from across a hallway. Half-Life 2 showed me that "If there is such thing as slow zombies, then there is such thing as fast zombies" and speaking of HL2, when I first played Ravenholm, I was scared out of my wits. xD You instantly know you're in for a treat when you get a new gun, and you know it's gotta be something tough when you get a shotgun. D: and extra ammo. |
I love how I check back during random conversations. XD But I understand what you mean about the racist remarks for the new RE. Honestly, I don't think it's meant to be racist, and I think it'd be more racist to make everyone in the game look white based on the location. ^^;
I really liked RE4 though. The enemies weren't quite as scary looking, but they were a tad smarter than the previous "zombies". It depends on your difficulty level I think, but anytime there were a lot of them, especially in the beginning, it was tough. |
well then if you don't like that style of game obviously youre not going to like RE at all... It's like saying "I don't like racing games" Then going out and buying collin Mcree rally and wondering why you don't like it... Or saying you dislike soccer game then buy fifa world champions.
Some games just aren't ever going to appeal to you, not because they're bad games, but because they're not your style. And no Sen-chan, I don't belive the AI does get better, they just have more health... |

I think the only time the enemies were hard were when you were on insane mode at the beginning where you walk into the village for the first time... and the chainsaw sisters. In insane mode I ended up with no ammo and knifing everyone till I was overwhelmed and went down ^_^ And I freeze with chainsaws so they were hard... |
RE5 isn't racist until all the zombies have afros and fried chicken in hand.
I pretty much stick to FPS and RPG games, and mostly about my PC (Though it's falling behind in power now, especially since I upgraded to Vista) but for games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts and Devil May Cry, it's gotta be console gaming, controllers are better for those kinda games. :P I just love my free control with my mouse and keyboard for FPS and MMORPG games, I especially miss FFXI though...damn it's expensive. xD |

Angel is a FF Fan too!!! ^_^ I stpped gaming on the computer years ago. I love consols too much. You can play em anywhere. Just hoick your card and game out and you're good to go.

I'm a PC Gamer now, my PS2 barely gets touched and I was gonna mail it to a friend on Gaia who was looking for one, but they got one recently, so now I'm just gonna buy 'em Kingdom Hearts for Christmas. xD
I play my FPS games (Counter Strike, Team Fortress, Halo and all that) and then I usually have an MMORPG that I hang around now and then. but lately I haven't had one, tried getting back into Lineage II but I can't anymore, just the same stuff over and over it gets on my nerves now. I recently found Rappelz, or something like that, I was gonna install it and try it sometime, it looked pretty good for a free game (Last free RPG I was getting into hasn't been updated since Jan 07 u.u ) |
Angel rests her case by pointing at the age rating on the case. Some parents astound me! They really do! Pre teen ALWAYS follow the labels!
I don''t have a favourite genre. I like a lot. It all depends on my mood. *wants her DS FF now* |
|
The only reason I'd want a DS is for FF3, FF3 for the NES was one of my favourites, a great example of well done class changing system (nothing beats FFT though, best class changing system) and I don't have money, or a DS. :/
