I never really had a hard time on there, my shops usually filled up in around a few hours for about 5 slots? But, then again it could have been because I had a few art whores addicted to my art. :'D But, it is hard to establish yourself at first sometimes. . . @Jayms- Oh wow, that is a big difference! o 3o I don't mind Gaia, but I for the time I've been on here I think I like Menewsha better. The avatars are nicer, the people are friendlier and more literate and it's not as big. <33 |
Flink had an edit shop for awhile and it did good. Mostly from the business of one guy. Then someone got her in trouble, so her shop was closed. x.x

*nod nod* Yep, but another big difference is, I was on Gaia getting rid of a ton of stuff...ie sending anonymous letters to my friends and all my gold, and by the time I got bored I had another few hundred gold and I was sat there like "I JUST gave it all away WHY have I got more? STOPPIT GTFO LEAVE ME ALONE" but I just kept getting more gold and I didn't even post once! Oh here, getting a few hundred can take a few hours of effort. *shrugs* I like Menewsha more, the people are so friendly here. I came on here just because my friend roi had been talking about how she'd left it and I wanted to see what was wrong. I ended up leaving the site I met her on because it was so wonderful here. And I agree, the avatars are so much nicer, but so are the items. Our devs put so much effort into the items. |
That's because Gaia SUPPORTS lurking more than it does actually doing stuff. People make more gold now on Gaia by just navigating than they do posting. Sure 50 gold is a LOT of gold for one post, but it does dwindle down to where you eventually get nothing for the posting.
Flink's been in the hole on Gaia since they changed the gold earning system. She hasn't really bothered getting new stuff either. Except the really cheap items. She loves those. She thinks it'd be just as good if they just had them in the shops for that price, instead of giving them away, but meh. Yay! Enjoy the fan. *huggles* Urgh, I know, I never earnt very much on Gaia, I spent ages writing out long detailed roleplay replies, which of course earnt me nothing, and because it took a good while for each reply I got no lurking gold either. Gaia wanted me to have twenty illiterate one liner roleplays for me to make any gold from it, my five literate roleplays were worthless on Gaia. I guess that's why Gaia has so many illiterates. It was such hard work having fun on there! |
Flink admits that about all she does on Gaia now is post in a 1k=1g thread. Because she has so many friends there.
That and she does play the games. For the longest time all she did on Neopets was play games. XD Then they butchered web design and she couldn't stand them anymore. o.o |

All Angel does on Gaia is give things away and check her messages. The games don't even work for Angel! Ahhh Neopets! Angel remembers when Neopets was an interesting place to be! Back when the Chibis ruled the boards, and the RP forum warred with the GD and FC forums on a regular basis. And roleplaying wasn't the only thing happenning in the roleplay board.... Then they tightened the rules and the Wars ceased, the Chibis left and the boards were flooded with adds for off site roleplays, then they closed the GD and the despies invaded after cyber...That's when I left. I was on neo since the site was like 2 months old |
