Do you have a "Theme"?

I love roses and Hello Kitty... So all my gifts I ever get have that theme (As that's what my friends know I like)... I also of course buy my own Hello Kitty and rose themed products... So my house is full of these things. Every room has them in it. Hello Kitty Kitchen and bathroom products (sandwich maker, toaster, curtains, soap dispenser, shower curtain hooks, towels, jam box, mini fridge, etc)... and rose scented eeeeverything (Lotions, shampoos, conditioners, air fresheners, body sprays, incense, candles, linen water, deodorant, carpet freshener, trash bags, etc).

So, do you have a theme? A certain thing thats everywhere in your home? Whether it's frogs, Harry Potter, Anime in general, Floral prints... whatever. Is there a theme you live by?

I live by tigers and tiger stripes. XD;; I still love plushies at my age, so I have a truckload of them of course, especially of tigers. When I was 11, I did a report on tigers and I found them to be such an inspiring animal.

They are loners by nature, and such a symbol of power; and yet, I read about the generosity of tigers to their young. From then on I wanted to be sort of like the animal in a way. XD;;

Another thing would be crosses. I love collecting crosses, and indeed I have a cross tattoo which I love. It has to be those older beautiful looking crosses; while I am catholic, for some reasons I find that crosses can be so beautiful.

I can relate to that ^.^; I have a gob of plushies... More than my son ^.^; But that's because little boys don't seem to appreciate stuffed animals like girls do ^.^; I remember always pilling my plushies up and burying myself under them when I was little XD

I think the way you fell in love with tigers is a really neat story.

Like Gothic crosses? (The era not the goth kid kind of Gothic)

  • When I was smaller I had a 'Bunny' theme, because that's my nickname. I had tons of stuff bunnies and I had a real bunny too. I had this bunny border around my room.

Ling 10-05-2007 04:36 AM

I don't believe I have a particular theme, but I do really like anime whereas most of my friends are not really into it. So yeh, sometimes others think of me as the anime person.

Fabby 10-05-2007 04:37 AM

No theme for me, I don't think. I look around my room and the only theme seems to be Marilyn Manson... XD

Cami 10-05-2007 04:46 AM

Ooh. I'm big on crosses too. I've got traditional ones, gothic ones, celtic ones, cross earings, cross necklaces, cross bracelets, cross rings. I've even got a cross toe ring. XD

I also like lock and key related things. I have a lot of key jewelry, as well as a decent amount of handcuff jewelry /cough/. I swear it's nothing horrid. <<,,

I'm also really big on pink lately, but that's not my fault. >/ I blame Allan. (If you don't know who Allan is, that's your own darn fault and you shall never be told. Never!)

Otohime 10-05-2007 04:51 AM

I think I live by curlicue letters, cats, and dragons. o-o

...
It's so deep, its shallow. XD
I own many dragon pendants, a few cat accessories, and embellishments like kooky ear cuffs.

No, truthfully I live by comfort, if you can call that a theme. My clothes are all comfortable polos and tees and sweaters, with jeans, finely tuned to the weather (except for the drastic change in it, for moving on 60 miles?! blast!). The shoes I wear regularly are very comfortable. My workspace has been arranged expressly so that I can work at comfortable angles, with my wacom, drink, snacks, hairbrush, schedule, thumb drive, paper, pencils, phone, music, and printer all within easy easy reach. My bed has been spruced up and pillow-fied until comfortable. I'm a comfort fiend, which makes me part cat, I guess? Well, if you spend 60% of your time staring at a montage of computer screens, you darn well want to be comfy, no?

Donna 10-05-2007 05:33 AM

  • Crowns and lions are my "theme" as you would call it. Lions are just my favorite animals ever. And crown, that's a little hard to explain but it has to do with my family. ^^

Clara 10-05-2007 06:31 AM

Hello Kitty, and I have a TON of stuff from the anime called
The Slayers. XP
And all my manga. >.>
And pink. >: Leopard print...
I have so much stuff it's hard to say what's my main "theme".

Iro 10-05-2007 06:38 AM

I wouldn't say that I have a particular 'theme'.
But my pencil box is all green, the pencils, the erasers, rulers, lead boxes... lol

Now, I do like crucifixes though. I could relate to Amari Tsuki, as I myself have quite a collection of cross accessories and I would wear at least one of them whenever I go out. I never did like pink though. ^_^;

`Yume 10-05-2007 06:39 AM

I don't have a certain theme but you can find tons of anime stuff and my awards around the house. I have anime cups, hats, headbands, shirts, posters, figurines, art, bags, and more. Our house is pretty much a normal house but messier and theres a lot of my awards everywhere. From trophies, to certificates. Oh and theres also stuff i made in elementary school. *sigh* all the memories...;p

woopdidoodoo 10-05-2007 10:48 AM

I collect anything to do with cow patterns, I have cow pattern china, rugs, pillows, toys, bean bag, nearly everything you can think of is pretty much in that pattern. Or other animal patterns like cheetah, zebra and things that are cool like that.

Aka chan 10-05-2007 10:56 AM

I have no theme whatsoever. But i do have things i like, like; bubbles, rainbows, balloons, stars, butterflys...

Dearest 10-05-2007 11:00 AM

I have a radar which points me to anything blue, regardless of whether it looks good or not, as long as it's blue...

An I love stripes, scarves, and things relating to the British royal family or London.

My favourite socks are long with stripes in two different shades of blue (big surprise ^^)

I own and regularly wear at least five different scarves, and I feel cold when I see someone clearly not wearing a scarf. It gives me the chills every time.

About that last thing, I have a poster with all the kings and queens of England, and a poem to learn them by heart, three postcards with three of the crowns, and a tube map on my wall o.O (I have pictures of my family and friends I could hang there, but I would rather keep it as it is.....) And one box full of other things. As long as it's from England, it's in that box... ^^

ZOMG!

<3 I love tigers as well, and JUST LIKE YOU I fell in love with them via a report I did as a kid! Ever since then its always been white tiger this, Bengal tiger that xD...I even got a tiger tattoo as well as the Chinese symbol for tiger on my neck xD...

Ebil 10-05-2007 05:04 PM

I guess my theme is Action Figures they're all over my room. I'm running out of shelves to put them on and I'm seriously considering moving all my books into storage so I have room for more figures :D

elanifave 10-05-2007 05:54 PM

I guess I would have an outdoorsy theme... Because a LOT of my things are star shaped, and there are some moons/clouds/suns/rainbows in there too... And I have a lot of plants. They are a pain to take care of, but I like having healthy green plants all over my room. Even like, my to-do list is star themed ^_^

Immortaleyes 10-05-2007 06:22 PM

I don't think that themes are bad but I don't think I'll ever have one in my room or home. To me, it just seems weird. But then again, my lack of one may seem weird to you.

Yeah 10-05-2007 06:32 PM

I have a bunch of cats and unicorns, not necessarily because I still want them but that's what people keep buying for me, and scented candles too. When I was younger, I loved unicorns and had a ton of them so, I got "labeled" as the unicorn person. The cats are mostly in my kitchen and people don't tend to buy those for me. After I got married my husband got me labeled as the scented candle person, his family gets me candles for everything. I could open my own candle shop.

Shadowfflur 10-05-2007 06:40 PM

I don't think I really have a theme...maybe chocolates and shiny objects...my husband is pretty obvious though. Video games and comics. It makes shopping for him rather easy, but at times expensive. xp

Queen Fool 10-05-2007 06:57 PM

Right now my theme is called "What's on sale", because that's where all my furniture is comming from.
