Symbol is different, you still stamp or draw one by one. If there is a string of pearls, you need to draw one by one...
What I am emphasizing is just treat the pearls as a line, and the line properties would turn the line into pearls. http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/7083/glorrisegw2.jpg -> like the belt. DX |
You made that, Xuvy? Looks very pro *___*
|
The sparkles are screentone I steal from internet... lol. I admit. DX
Look at the belt~ those pearl would waste me hours if I draw them one by one. DX I thought my sig is more pro than the one I link. |
love the sparkling effect ^__^
If we're talking about the signature, the left one looks very pretty, reminds me a bit of saiukoku ^^ |
*POINTs!*
Oh my god! You watch Saiunkoku!??! *squeeeees* >.< There is a LOT of bishies in Saiunkoku!! <33 |
|
Sasa... the nitemare scarf is... really... flashy..x.x
|
is it... XD;;;
I use color dodge~ ;D |
I mean the stroke... too flashy...
besides, I would suggest don't depend on dodge and burn too much. |
OH well... I didn't get pay for that yet... XD;;;
I mean.. I finish this one half the time I did the one yesterday... > >;; so it's rather sloppy... it's for this contest... |
Is that your 1st few times CGing?
|
What xuv said. Dodge and burn might seem like the easy way to brighten up your arts, but amongst most artists, it's highly discouraged. Not that it's not welcomed, but using it uncontrollably can sometimes kill the art instead of making it look better. =D
In short, don't make it a habit? xD |
My 1st few times are also spent on dodge and burn, because I am impatient and lazy. After choosing colour one by one, I begin to brew the patience because the quality is just different.
Besides, you can still use burn and dodge if you know how to control its strength. Adjust levels, hue and saturation... |
Well... it's the few pieces that I actually CG...
and no patience for me... > >;;; I'll try to work on other stuff other then the dodge... (don't know how to use burn) then you guys must teach me~ XDDD |
Oddly enough, I've never used the burn nor the dodge tools except once because someone was teaching me how to shine the blade properly, but I sort of... forgot about the function. xD;;
I rely quite heavily on overlay and multiply, though. *swt* Oh, I always adjust the opacities and such, no matter which brush or function I use. lol But I still take a heck of a long time to CG something... T_T; |
I do adjust the opacity... > <;;
I just use dodge for some of the bright parts... since I dont' know how to... make it bright without using it... :sweat: |
For high quality, I tends to choose the colour one by one. which means, even if it is a shine, I pick another colour and brush it on.
If dodge is make the colour light, then burn is the other way round, darker. Layers for me is only to differentiate the parts of colours on skin, clothes, eyes, hair and such. And I seldom use layer properties, unless multiply for linework. Lately only use overlay for colouring lineart. lol. I mostly did opacity for small area shading and screen tones. |
Understood. XD
I spam light colour overlay for bright stuff though. rofl Speaking of layers, I usually have at least a hundred for each piece I CG. More, if I did the lines digitally and a lot more if there are many accessories and small details. ^^; |
I think I'll.. ahve to work around it... > >;;;
I'm still a newb... =o= |
Iroro... crazy...! so many layers, I would have faint to find it!
But I group it! wahaha!! I save the lineart in another file, so not to hang the computer. |
I use layers for the main stuff....
Usually I just stick with around 10+ layers~ ^^;; |
You can do it, sasa!
More practice is good! Of course, don't forget to eat and sleep too. xD lol That's what the folder functions are for! Grouping does helps a lot. ^_^ Someone wanted to see how I CG once, so I sent over the CG file with the least layers I could find. Even that, his eyes went @[email protected] when he saw how many were inside. xD;;; |
He died right? XD;;
|
@Xuvy : Yep, the story is quite funny, the song is good and yeah, lots of bishie there ^^
Don't worry, Iro, I used lots of layers too... xD;; I used dodge and burn in the beginning of my CG history.. but turned out it's too bright so I rarely use it nowadays. x__x |
He revived. xD;
But I don't think he gets it still. Too many layers for him to go through, I think I confused him instead. lol Story? Sainkoku Monogatari? Mostly I only shine the hair and eyes. The rest are rather creamy and flat (especially the clothings). :lol: |
