Alexander Linden 07-22-2008 04:08 PM

Dystopia 07-22-2008 04:20 PM

What's this about Shakespeare shaking pears?

xuvrette 07-22-2008 04:24 PM

Xaevan 07-22-2008 05:10 PM

That... That literally means, "kill the farting duck". xDDD

Omg, Shakespeare degraded so badly in Chinese.

Dystopia 07-22-2008 05:12 PM

... XD Oh my God.

Alexander Linden 07-22-2008 05:13 PM

I knew what it meant.. but I was confused as to why it was said?

Xaevan 07-22-2008 05:14 PM

Apparently, that is how Shakespeare's name is in Chinese. Because xuv went 'Shakepear' and then she mentioned that the chinese one was even funnier and well, yeah. XDD

Dystopia 07-22-2008 05:23 PM

xD Dear God. Poor Shakespeare.

xuvrette 07-22-2008 05:38 PM

Oh my god~ Did Iroro use translator? XD
Originally it is 莎士比亚(sha- shi\ bi\/ ya\)
杀死屁鸭 sha\ si\/ pi\ ya-

Pretty close. XD I recently reread one of the romance novel... and I was trying to crack what does it mean... and it turns out to be Shakespeare! LOL.

Xaevan 07-22-2008 05:41 PM

Chinese dictionary ftw! xD

But I understood the first two, then the rest I just string together. rofl

Pi... *snicker*

Alexander Linden 07-22-2008 05:53 PM

Oh? Is that really Shakespeare in Chinese? haha.

xuvrette 07-22-2008 05:55 PM

Chinese people like to find close words to twist the original meanings, most of the time is funny.

Alexander Linden 07-22-2008 05:55 PM

haha. I see. Well it does indeed sound funny. haha

sad_girlformat 07-23-2008 09:59 AM
