@[.Shampoo.]:
Try eye mascara! They make a difference, especially for those characters with slightly slanted eyes. Pulling the black at the corners and shadowing the eyes a little helps considerably. I had my mother help with his that because I'm horrible at applying make up (which I never do, actually). xD Yeah, good wigs are definitely REALLY expensive. And those hairstyles you mentioned are super spiky, though possible. I mean, Yugi's and Vegeta's are "omg how do you STYLE that?" hairstyles. Not impossible, but not easy to do. lol Good luck with the hairstyling and your cosplay this year! One of the characters I cosplayed had spiked up hair too. I had to run to the washroom every hour or so just to respike them cause the spikes keep falling! The reason why I usually go in groups is because it is rather difficult to find materials in my country, as cosplay is not very popular here yet (and there are only 2 or 3 conventions a year for cosplay now; there used to be only one until about 2 years ago), though it's gaining reputation. Plus, some of the items for props are not easy to get too. =) /tl;dr @xuvrette: LoL xDD But then again, I did ask for it. @Sylira: Almost no one likes Mondays! Especially if it's the day right after Sunday. Just.. too.. lazy.. to drag.. self.. out of bed.... xD It's now already Tuesday for me, though. ~_^ |
*pounced on Iro* Irooo~~
wow, you sure had been attending Menewsha everyday like a good student. |
I am making an effort to. Though my online times are still rather sporadic. xD
|
Sporadic? What is that? Spore? lol.
What are you busying off? |
Iro - Hahas I guess not~ 8D
Yeah! ;3; Mondays feel so tiring. ;D Hehs nice~ |

|
Hey guys. =3
|
Hello, Peoplez. I will be going to sleep though. lol.
Have something to do in the morning. |
Night, then.
|
@xuvrette:
Would inconsistent be the right word? xD There are only a few things I would be busy about at this point. Studies, assignments, work, and art obligations. lol @Sylira: How are you feeling now that it's not Monday? 83 I hope everything's fine? @[.Shampoo.]: Make-up, I ask my mother. I'm horrible at it, as I've mentioned earlier. xD' I try choosing characters that have almost the same hair length and colour as mine (or that one blonde wig I own). It makes cosplaying easier. I live in Malaysia. And the cons are only held in two areas here. Mainly in the big cities, so those who live away have to come all the way just to attend the con. It's good that they're making an effort to branch out recently, though. Ah, I wish I was in the states. I want to visit y-con at least once. xDD lol It takes a little practice and getting used to, to style a wig. Shorter ones are easier. But once you get the hang of it, it isn't much problem at all. =) @Aisha Woku: *thread is tickled* *combusts with laughter* @Dystopia: Hello, anna! =D |
Arghh. xD Anna's parents came home late, and she couldn't start on her Spanish homework until now, and its almost 12!~
|
Gosh! That's late. xD
Wait, 12am, right? Good luck wth your homework! I hope it isn't too difficult to do. O_O |
@ Iro - Luckily, its not. -.-;
|
That's good, then. xD
The May CIs are out. They're really nice. I need to get a set for myself. >D |
I love the May CIs. I'm going to contact my CI Supplier as soon as I can
|
You have a CI supplier? That's great. xD
I have to look around the Exchange for not so high prices for the CIs. They're not so easy to come by (at least, the decently prices ones) if I look for sellers too late. lol |
I don't think Iroro's place is very popular with cosplays. lol.
I remember the last time when I attend one, basicly went because wanting to buy the so call cheap mangas, and got the fright of my life when I saw cosplays. -___-;; |
It is getting much better, though, xuv.
Especially last year, you can really see a VAST improvement in the quality of cosplays. Those Queen Esther cosplays, the number of beads on them, woah. *__* (Though those males cosplaying as female characters were.... interesting, to say the least.) |
The problem is, they scared me with their colourful hair.
Anime's hair could be any colour and still look nice, but in real, it looks weird. |
Ahh~ Yes, I think I see what you mean. Normal black or blonde's not so bad.
But bright colours like pink, light blue or green, those look somewhat odd, I have to agree. lol |
They won't look as odd if they darken the colour.
Because it is so bright, it just look... fake. I thought cosplay suppose to look real? |
WHERE MY ART IRO! DX WHERE IS IT!! *STOMPS ON YOU*
|
...If you stomp on Iroro... you won't even smell your art, Branny... x.x
|
XDDD What xuvrette said. lol
I'm almost done with the colouring process, Branny. I'm working as fast as I could. But do keep in mind that I have real life things to take care of as well. And rush CGing won't look very nice. ~_^ I should be PMing you your art by tomorrow, though. So watch out for it. =) @xuvrette: I think the point in cosplaying is to look as CLOSE to the character as possible, not exactly looking 'real'. Though that plays a role as well. xD Saw, whenever you open up for those pretty and sparkly dolls like the one you and miyu have in your sigs, call me. I would really like one. ^_^ |
