I've been taking psychology courses lately, and the "self serving bias" concept has stuck in my mind a lot. People tend to think that they are smarter, better, and more interesting then others. Mostly it's for the sake of maintaining they're self esteem. Anyway, the first post by MissNobody saying she's special over and over again just made me inclined to mention it.
My name is Liz, I'm a 22 year old college student focusing on psychology at the moment. I WAS taking courses in art and graphic design, but I just don't think I have the patience or drive for that kind of work. Mostly I found graphic design boring.. especially if the subject is something I don't care about. I'm an Role Player, and really enjoy it. I RP all different kinds, online, table top, and LARP. Most people have a pre-established opinion of LARP, but I find that it all varies depending on the group you play with. Some groups are relaxed about it, humorous and fun, others are very serious about it, and make it a large focus in they're lives. I don't really think that the latter is healthy.. but I DO think that RP is a good way to relieve stress and get your mind off your problems. I drink on occasion, when I go out to bars or restaurants with friends, but I'm not interested in any kinds of drugs. I really like just spending time with my friends, laughing and talking about stupid stuff. XD Which I figure most people like to do. Friends are the people that make you laugh the hardest and smile the most. I'm single, still living at home with my folks since I'm going to a community college.. but I'll be moving out once I transfer next year. I've been taking life at a slower pace, since I had surgery about 4 months ago, and spent a year just getting ready for it. I have a cat named Ta, who's my baby, and a dog named Angus, who is really my Moms dog, but he's a sweaty and he loves me anyway. I take him to the dog park all the time, he has a lot of fun there, chasing the other dogs and playing with the Jack Russell Terriers. I find ghosts fascinating, and believe in they're existence. I love the show Ghost Hunters, and other things that discuss the reality of hauntings. I also love movies with ghost themes, although they clearly over dramatize hauntings. Of course, that's what makes them scary. XD I also love stand up comedy, and have a lot of favorite comics (except Dane Cook, he can do me a favor and fall off the face of the earth now). I like the funny shows on adult swim, like the Venture Brothers and Frisky Dingo. XD I used to watch anime, but lost interest after graduating high school. I think I ran out of things to say.. o.o I'm a little unusual, but generally a typical college student. XD |
