I haven't bought them so often recently, but when I did it was mostly at Borders and the Barnes.. With an occasional Suncoast and local Comic book store here and there..
Otherwise, it's been more impulse-buying at conventions. xD

we have a bookstore in our mall here where i live
its called Borders
either that or go to an anime expo/convention
I'm going to one in Boston...its in March...or May..
one of those "M" months..

Yeah, a lot of sellers are there to make a lot of money fast, and they do. If you at a convention right before it closes, you can find some reallllly good deals on manga :)

I usually buy at borders or Books A million.
Since there isnt alot of conventions where i live. but if i can i'll buy manga & anime there. :D

I buy them at Chapters ( book store ) there manga are abit over priced. Though I don't know any other book stores around where I live. The cloest book store which sells alot of manga is like 30mins. away from where I live! D: I don't live in the States so there are no Borders here, though whenever I go over to a States i'll remember to stop by there.

I buy almost all my manga from Borders. ^-^
I used to go to Media Play before they went out of business. xD

naruu 10-22-2007 01:28 AM

Mainly from a local Chapters store, or sometimes from the school library.

Where do I buy manga? Well..

Shonen Jump I have a subscription to, I got it online of course. I get Shojo Beat at walmart and I buy Vampire Knight volumes at Barnes and Nobles (online). I got two manga volumes(vol. 1 Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode and vol. 2 Ultra Maniac) at school when we had this book fair thing. Yeah my town sucks, so I don't get much variety.

MasterChiefrei 10-22-2007 04:30 AM

I am a devoted Borders member and I looooooove those deals and sometimes they have the buy 3 get 1 free or buy 2 get 3rd free which is good because sometimes I can't afford 4 books at one time. ><; But I don't trust many online sellers because you're not entirely sure what the condition the item will be in once it gets to you. ><; But I have bought seasons 1 and 4 of Sailor Moon online and they're great so no worries there. XD

~Flying Bunnies~ 08-07-2008 08:54 PM

I buy my manga from Borders most of the time. Though when I order books from Amazon I throw in a manga or two.

xdark_secretsx 08-08-2008 09:02 PM

Amazon.com and Borders are the places where I usually buy my manga. :)

Cheeryplant 08-09-2008 07:32 AM

Kinokuniya, hooray! They have a big section on manga, mostly in Chinese, but there are a few rows of them in English. XD

PinkIkumi 08-09-2008 08:10 AM

And in normal shop with magazin :D

Meretricious Death 08-09-2008 09:11 AM

From the store, though sometimes I read manga online.

Especially titles like D.Gray Man and Air Gear that are not available in English...yet.

kawaiisora 08-09-2008 09:17 AM

I pick up most of mine at a small comic book store I used to work at .. I still get the discount so why not *lol*

Otherwise I get most of what I need at cons <3

Mekoness 08-09-2008 09:28 AM

On the off chance I buy manga... *cough cough* I buy them from Borders and only with coupons. And even then only the ones I absolutely must have. *cheap*

Ling 08-09-2008 10:18 AM

I borrow manga from the library, there's always new stock and I'm the type of person who usually doesn't enjoy reading manga a 2nd time so its good. The only down side is when the manga is worn out from so many people reading and damaging it before it gets into my hands.

If I were to buy manga, I'd probably get it from a comic book shop, a specialty manga shop or borders. If I were to buy heaps of manga, I'd definitely get it from the manga shop because if you get membership you get discounts on practically everything the store sells, which includes merchandise and anime, I believe.

titaneatomoe 08-09-2008 01:49 PM

I get my mangas at anime shops, got alot of them over here

yar im pocky 08-09-2008 04:24 PM

Borders, I like it there.

Tano-san 08-09-2008 05:41 PM

I don't buy or read Manga, but I have a lot of friends who buy it at big book stores like Barnes and Noble or Borders.

Rokryru 08-09-2008 09:52 PM

I can't buy online (not old enough for own credit card and parents won't let me use theirs) so i buy mine at teh local Barnes&Noble, they've been running pretty dry though so I've been looking for another way to get my manga fix
