Trick or Treat? I choose trick :]
For the past couple of years my friends and I always conceive the most diabolical schemes to frighten people on all hallows eave. We usually come up with some pretty good stuff, but never actually do it. Instead, we wind up dressing up in camouflage - they're well prepared to go into the military - and going deep into the woods of nowhere Maine in an attempt to scare ourselves, as opposed to someone else.
This year, though.. this year we have an amazing plan that we might actually follow through. It was an idea I came up with last year, and have been tweaking ever since. Basically, it'd be something like this: The area I live in is full of religious fanatics. In fact, one of my friends mom is a minister. There also used to be an actual cultist building that just so happened to burn down (We went there last halloween). Conveniently, there are also plenty of open areas that people walk by on their trick or treat routes. So my plan is to get a small group of my friends to dress up like cultists and set up some satanic cultist shrine in an open area and do weird chants and movements, while another small group of my friends dresses up in full military apparel and sets up mock strategic defense points and possibly road blocks. One of my friends actually went through basic training and is in the army, so it'd be great if they could slow cars down and tell people to watch out for any suspicious activity. Just the present of military personnel would be enough for people to be on guard. Anyway.. once it starts getting rather populated and we've spooked enough people, I want to have a mini-war between the cultists and the military people. My friends have airsoft assault rifles, so that'd be fun. The cultists could use some sort of "satanic black magic" to defend/assault with. I can't wait for Halloween :] Discuss: Halloween things. But please don't just come here to rant about your own experiences that have nothing to do with the conversation just so you can get gold. |
That is a pretty elaborate scheme! I don't trick or treat anymore, so no treats. I am interested din building a haunted house though. For quite some time I have been studying up on building one. It would be out of a garage, and if I did get to building one it would be pretty elaborate. Have fun with your little scheme, hopefully you guys don't get into trouble.

Ooo, I like haunted houses. There's a committee at my school that plans on setting up a haunted house.. perhaps I'll join it. Then again, I'm not really sure what someone could do to scare anyone at a haunted house. People expect to be jumped and scared.. and it's not fun if they expect it.
Hmm.. What'd be scary? |
I had that same outlook on it before I researched it. Then, I found some sites that give ideas, its a forum and the people are fantastic haunt makers.
Here they are: http://hauntworld.com/haunted_house_forums/index.php http://www.halloweenforum.com/forumd...125&order=desc |
Interesting :] I'm gonna have to read through some of that stuff. I've already skimmed through a few threads >>
The only thing that's ever really scared me before is the game F.E.A.R. Mostly because it drags you in and makes it personal. Perhaps the same could be done with a haunted house. x3 It would be amazing to have projectors projecting images on the ceiling or walls to make it look like someone's trapped or being tortured.. or that something is following them on the ceiling :] |
haha usually i just sit i my bushes and pop out.. i remember this 1 time a bunch of boys came and as they were leaving my house, me and my friends switched places [shadows and the bush] and one of the kids saw us and he called back to his friends and was like " guys theres someone in the yard!" they came and saw nothing.. they started to make fun of him.. it was realllly funny =D

In my area there is a local company called "Scarefest" and they run amazing houses. They are very popular, and very scary. In fact, the owner of the company is a member on the first forum link I gave you! They are doing a new thing this year where guests have to walk under fake dead pig corpse, and have to fin there way through objects that hang. They also have a completely dark maze where guests feel their way to the end.
|
That does sound a rather scary :] And fun. I'd love to do something like that next year, when I've properly prepared and set things up.
|
Dear god, that is pure brilliance!
xD But can you set up a road block..? Our local haunted house is never very scary. Because you can more or less tell what's supposed to move and what's not. Yet people always get scared of it... |
A road block would probably be stretching it.. but it would make things all the more better :]
|
Well, you could always look all official and maybe try to get people to stop so you can warn them.
|
This Halloween...I think I'm going to dress up and run around campus just scaring people.:3 And I'm going to a Halloween Party! It'll be so awesome.
|
Hmmmmm, that sounds like something you'd probably get in big trouble for, though, if you succeeded in riling people up. "Public disturbance" or something like that.
It is a very clever scheme though. |
Hope it goes well!
Though you might worry about getting in trouble for creating a false scare for the people... the police are very sensitive on holidays... *remembers the extra security at a little kid trick or treating event at the mall* Yea... they're Extra sensitive. I wish people would just calm down and enjoy the holiday and trick or treating. |
Be careful about impersonating army officials like the road block. Other than that you can just say you were dressing up and be cool.
I've never been into the scare thing. I live on a hill so I tend to ride my horse down and do trick or treating in the suberbs on horse back. This year my son wants to be a cowboy so I'm dragging my horse back out there. Nothing spooks him - no matter how hard people try. |
Well If your friends want to get arrested or even possibly shot, Impersonating a police figure would definitely be the way to go.
|
im just going out with a gouple of friends, but i know its going to be fun, it always is when we get together.
|
I saw a bunch of people on campus doing pranks/jokes last Saturday. There were these people on bikes who had taped huge cardboard cut outs to their bikes of pac man and the monsters that chase him. So pac man was in the front, and all the monsters were following him around the block(s). It was really funny.
Then there were also people dressed up as giant traffic cones. They blocked off traffic with construction tape and then started "helping" pedestrians get across. Also, I saw a giant hello kitty(like the disneyland costumes) who had a fake machine gun. She was pretending to mow everyone down. |
Wow! That has to be one of the most epic things I have ever heard. Videotape it!
|
Lmao, my god. Thats an insanely good idea, I've never even thought to actually try to scare people on Halloween. Though I would probably fail to follow through on the plans as you said you did, lol. I hope you make it through this, it sounds like a lot of fun!
|
That mini war is a great idea. If my friend was back off of his military training I would have loved to do something like that. My father is in the military so we would have a lot of good things to use for the military side.
I don't really do the prank thing. This year I'm going to try and go trick or treating for a bit, and then hand out candy at my own house. Just because I'm a university student doesn't mean I'm too old for trick or treating. |
That sounds really fun... i hope u have lots of fun if u actually fall through with it.. but watch out.......... for........ um nevermind... well i hope u have a very fun halloween. Well it seems pretty funny~ i hope u have fun!
|
I'd be worried that someone could get hurt if the "real" authorities were fooled into coming out... :?
|
I like the idea Santanic against the Military! That sounds awesome! I haven't been invited anywhere yet for halloween! So I don't know what to do!
|
I wish I lived near where you live so that I could see that whole scene play out. X3
That's seriously so rad, and so creative. How're you going to do the black magic effects? :O |
