Legally Blonde The Musical

Has anyone seen it? I saw it the night it aired (the ONLY time it aired on MTV) and desperately wanted to tape it but I missed the first four minutes and didn't have a blank tape anyway.

I really really liked it, probably because I like the color pink a lot and am a fan of the original Legally Blonde movies. Laura Bell Bundy brings a LOT of funnyness to the stage as Elle, and the soundtrack (bought that too) was kinda cool although some parts of the musical itself were boring.

You first get to see Callahan as a mean, corrupt lawyer "shark" when he first shows up in the musical but I won't say more about his character than that. We already know (if you watched the movie) that he hits on Elle at some point.

Vivian gets her name changed to "Vivienne" from what I heard though she and Warner aren't engaged when they arrive at Harvard Law. I didn't like that they took away the lady professor (I forget her name but in the movie she was played by Holland Taylor) and I really missed her in the musical.

Even though it's based on the movie, of course they changed a bunch of things. You can either love or hate it. Me being me, I loved it. I'm just really disappointed that MTV won't air it as much. Their schedule originally said that it would replay last Friday...and I even put it on auto tape, but my tape resulted in many episodes of America's Next Top Model. Ugh! Needless to say, MTV changed their schedule and left me a very disappointed fangirl.

So, anyone, discuss? And yes, theming with everything, my font is pink.

I wanted to see it, but I missed it. :(

I'm just seriously pissed they're not making any plans to air it! Not like their VMAs or Music Awards, noooo...

But if they eventually DO decide to air it (and they better) you should watch it : )

Yeah it was on TV, I was waiting for it.
But I ended up missing it.
So hopefully they'll air it again.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyhow.

For those of you who haven't been able to see the musical, or you have and can't get enough of it, MTV will be airing Legally Blonde again TONIGHT (November 3rd)!

Be ready, people! I'm taping mine this time and the video's rewound, the VCR timer programming is ready and my alarm is SET!

EDIT: I came home around 7 and totally forgot about the musical until it was 7:40 and I noticed it was supposed to be on. Luckily my VCR was already running the recording but I just went downstairs to go watch it and left my TV off while it was recording.

So now I'm watching it again : )

I was able to see it in the theatres in San Francisco. It was really cool live and I went back to see it again in the really cheap sets way up in the balcony. However I missed getting to record it. I would definately want to see it again. I did not have very high expectations for it, but it proved me wrong. There are a ton of really funny moments and you fall in love with the characters all over again. I hope they show it on TV again so that I can tape it and watch it whenever I want. (The color is simply to continue with the theme).

Awwwwww you're so lucky : ( I really wanna see it but I'm not going to New York City anytime soon. That really sucks. They should be playing reruns on TV occasionally...check IMDB.com for it.

lol wow i would have watched it had I known it was on. lol I own both the movies. for some odd reason. but they are fun to watch when your board, and just want to laugh a little. :lol:

I want it to come down to Australia, but it will probably be years before the actual stage performance comes down!

I never would have guessed that they made that into a musical. I have seen the movie and loved it.. I have always wanted to watch a musical but never have other then the ones they made into musical movies.
