Alcohol
Its fun to drink we all know that, but what was your first drink? And when?
|
I don't remember my first drink per say, but I do remember the first time I go drunk. It was the end of my first week in Japan. Myself and the few other Americans in my school all went out to a bar called Soul Food in Shinjuku. The food was HORRIBLE, but they kept giving us these huge mugs of beer. I was leaning over on one of the guys to say something, and for some reason he pushed my head down towards the table. I ended up breaking my glass with my forehead, but thankfully I didn't get hurt. (Didin't even feel it! Thank you alcohol) At the end of the night one of the guys walked me home and we dragged out the extra bed pad for him. My host family was laughing so hard when we told them about the night. And actually asked to join in next time we went. ^^;;

My dad used to let me have wine whenever he and my mother used to drink some, I don't remember when from, but he didn't make a big deal about it.
I don't drink alcohol now, and haven't done for over three years. I've seen alcohol mess up too many people. People I cared about. Besides, it never does much to me. If I drank too much I didn't ever get to the happy drunken stage. I'd just go from normal to being passed out. So seemed like a waste of money to me, since I have no problem sleeping without alcohol. |
My last drink was at my mothers birthday party in June and I had a glass of wine, I am just that good I am, tee hee.
|
Hmm...
My parents have let me sample their alcohol... I can firmly say I dislike red wine, but still will not turn down a glass if offered. xD I've had Bailey's Irish Cream, which is a heaven-send. I love that stuff. <3 And recently, I actually drank to get a buzz. Or rather, I did it because I knew it was wrong and I was just so pissed off that it sounded like a good idea. So I guess that's my first actual drink? It was vodka and orange juice. A nice big ol' glass full. Good stuff, actually. I like how it's mostly burn, very little taste. Vodka, I mean. |
Actually, I don't remember my first drink, because when I was a kid my parents often gave me to taste some long drinks (usually).
|
I have never had alcohol before. Sure, I am 18, and could just sneak some of the stuff my mom has. And from what I understand I DID used to sneak my moms beer when I was around two years old, but that does not really count because I would drink anything I could get my hands on then.
No, I have never had alcohol because I am afraid that I will like it. That I will like it too much. You see, Alcoholism runs on my dads side of the family. Currantly his mother, my grandmother, is a closet alcoholic, and he has not touched alcohol in about 15 years, due to a bad stint around the time my little sister was being born. My mom needed to get to the hospital and he was too drunk to drive. That was bad, I hear. So, as I said, genetically I am in a bad situation so I figure that it is better that I perhaps never touch any major alcohols, other than beverages with low alcohol content, in my life than risk it and find out that I have inheretited the alcoholism genes by actually becoming an alcoholic. |
We went to Vegas for my 21st. My b'day was on a Sat and we drove in Fri night. By the time we got into the hotel it was midnight so my now hubby and I went to the bar and got my first drink. Got a Kamakazi shot...2 actually, I think. That weekend I had a yard sized peach daiquiri, a blue hawaian, rum and coke, more kamakazis and probably a few others that I can't remember.
I can't drink anymore because I take meds that make me get hungover on one drink. When I did drink my drink of choice was a bahama mama. On New Years and whatnot I'll make virgin ones just for fun. |
I haven't ever tasted alcohol.. but then again I'm too young for that still (and not the type to go to drinking parties like others in my class).
|
smirnoff, and then beer..and so on. it was at my cousins grad party, all the parents were gone, they left me with the olderr kids i guess you could say, and they gave me all this stuff to try...i got a little tipsy..but it was all worth itt.
by the way..im 14. so yeah...hahahahaha xD |
I've never drank alcohol, and I don't see what's so great about it.
All I hear about is my friends making asses out of them selfs when they tell me about the parties they were at. I guess that's why I can't stand most people my age in my town. You can't talk to most people without them starting to talk about how much they love to drink. Alcohol – the risks Irresponsible use of alcohol can lead to: * Binge drinking * Drink driving * Unsafe sex. No what do you think about this? Have you ever drunk? Have you ever been caught drunk? When was your first time? |
I don't drink. That said, when i'm ill my dad makes me drink warm milk with whiskey in it.

My first drink, was coconut rum, on christmas. >__>;;
The first time I ever got totally trashed, was last new years, xD I drank a full bottle of rum myself, after having never drank anything but coconut two or three xmas' ago, so .. I got sick. >__>; xD |
I'm not that big a fan of alcohol. At least from what I've had. Hurts my tummy. T 3T
My first drink was a while ago, some wine. |
I wouldn't say that it's fun.
Only if you're into that kind of thing. I never drank anything before. Back when my boyfriend was taking care of his brother's house I wanted to try the Saki he had. :o But we never did. I think I'm more of a wine/margarita type of person. The other shit doesn't sound appealing at all nor tasteful. I'd rather drink to taste it instead of get shitfaced. =/ |
My first drink was in the 10th grade, a beer at a party. I used to drink Max Ice... ew! I can't believe I did that. I don't even like beer now. :P
I waited until I was 19 to go downtown though! |
My first drink was the amazing Grey Goose. (it's still my favorite vodka! Thin and chilled!)
It was too long ago for me to remember but I still have pictures to remember that day! 21st Birthdays are always fun. (especially in vegas! lol) |
The first drink I ever tried was champagne, when I was 11 (I think? Don't hold me to that), since it was the Millenium. What was amusing, was that my grandpa (my mum, sister and me went to my grandparents for Christmas and new years) was too ill to have dinner with us that evening, but suddenly perked up when the champagne had been opened, and not only downed his own glass, but finished off mine, as well, as I'd only drunk half, lol

Mm . . . I think my first drink was probably Captain and Gingerale since that is what my Dad used to drink and he let me taste his drinks.
When I was older I think the first time I got drunk was fire & Ice or Vodka and Cranberry juice. Now I generally drink beer or white wine - I was really into red wines for a while and I've recently gotten into white wines. They're nice in the summer with some frozen fruit in the glass. This just reminded me that I have a bottle of champagne in my fridge at home I had bought to celebrate my graduation - but my boyfriend doesn't like champagne and I don't want to drink the whole bottle by myself (because I would. . so yummy). I'll have to give my friend a call and see if she wants to sit and sip with me one weekend night. At this point in my life I don't really find alcohol to be a huge deal - but I do enjoy sitting around with friends and drinking a few beers. When I was in college it was all about getting drunk, now it's about socializing and if i get a buzz in the process so be it - as long as I have a ride home. |
My first drink (I believe) was a little bottle of strawberry daiquiri. My mom had a bunch of low alcohol stuff one new years and we were allowed one of our choosing to toast the new year with. I was about 15.
|
Bud, when I was 3. XD My mom got pissed at my aunt for giving it to me. I spat it out. xD Haven't drunk a hard drink since.
I might have a drink for my 22cd birthday. I turned 21 back in march and still haven't bothered... :/ Doesn't interest me. Too many alcoholics in my family. |
|
I've tasted alcohol before, but I hate the taste. Also, there's several alcoholics in my family, so I don't drink.
|
I don't drink since I'm underage, but I'm totally against it and I'm never going to drink when I'm at legal age for it.
I don't enjoy watching people 'drink'. Beer is the only legal 'drug' and it causes so many problems too: drunk driving, fights, abuse, anger, and hurting others. It's only allowed because it is so embedded into our culture for centuries and that many people enjoy it too much. I don't like how people try to escape their problems and troubles through alcohol and end up smelling bad and feeling worse. The only time I believe alcohol is alright is if it is for a holiday tradition or used in cooking (not to excess amounts) |
