Naruto versus Bleach

well most people have at least heard of them both

but what are your opinions which one do you prefer?
i just got into bleach since it has been airing on english tv

but in case you haven't heard of them here are there descriptions take from wikipedia

Naruto

Quote:

Twelve years before the events at the focus of the series, the nine-tailed demon fox attacked Konohagakure. Powerful enough to raise tsunamis and flatten mountains with a swish of one of its tails, it raised chaos and slaughtered many people, until the leader of the Leaf Village – the Fourth Hokage – sacrificed his own life to seal the demon inside his newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki. The Fourth Hokage, who was celebrated as a hero for sealing the demon fox away, wanted Naruto to be respected in a similar light by being the containment vessel for the demon fox.

The Leaf Village, however, shunned him, regarding Naruto as if he were the demon fox itself and mistreated him throughout most of his childhood. A decree made by the Third Hokage forbade anyone to discuss or mention the attack of the demon fox to anyone, even their own children. However, this did not stop them from treating him like an outcast and as a result he grew up an orphan without friends, family, or acknowledgment. He could not force people to befriend him, so he sought acknowledgment and attention the only way he knew – through pranks and mischief.

However, that soon changed after Naruto graduated from the Ninja Academy by using his Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, a technique from a forbidden scroll that he was tricked into stealing, to save his teacher, Iruka Umino, from the renegade ninja Mizuki. That encounter gave Naruto two insights: that he was the container of the demon fox, and that there was someone besides the Third Hokage who actually cared for and acknowledged him. His graduation from the academy opened a gateway to the events and people that would change and define his world, including his way of the ninja for the rest of his life.[4]

The main story follows Naruto and his friends' personal growth and development as ninja, and emphasizes their interactions with each other and the influence of their backgrounds on their personalities. Naruto finds two friends and comrades in Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, two fellow young ninja who are assigned with him to form a three-person team under an experienced sensei named Kakashi Hatake. Naruto also confides in other characters that he meets throughout the series as well. They learn new abilities, get to know each other and other villagers better, and experience a coming-of-age journey as Naruto dreams of becoming the Hokage of the Leaf Village.

Throughout all of the Naruto plot, strong emphasis on character development changes the plot, with very few things happening because of chance. At first, emphasis is placed on Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, who are the members of Team 7. However, other characters are developed, such as Kakashi, Tsunade, and Jiraiya, as well as Naruto's peers in the other teams and villages. Several major villains come into play as well, the first being Zabuza Momochi, a missing-nin from Kirigakure, and his partner, Haku. Later, in the Chunin Exams arc, Orochimaru is introduced as an S-Class missing-nin at the top of Konoha's most wanted list. Later still, a mysterious organization called Akatsuki begins to pursue Naruto for the nine-tailed demon fox inside him.

Bleach

Quote:

Ichigo Kurosaki is an ordinary 15-year-old boy who happens to be able to see ghosts. His fate takes an extraordinary turn when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper who shows up at Ichigo's house on the trail of a Hollow, a malevolent lost soul. Drawn to Ichigo's high level of spiritual energy, the Hollow attacks Ichigo and his family, and Rukia steps in to help, but is injured and unable to fight. As a last resort Rukia decides to transfer a part of her Soul Reaper powers to Ichigo...

Ichigo, now a full-fledged Soul Reaper, and Rukia, minus her powers, join together to face the challenges that lie ahead.

Bleach all the way. Naruto has a repetitive storyline and the second season is really....not making me happy anymore. I used to love Naruto but the fillers just killed it.

Bleach also has fillers too but at least the fillers had an ok story. Naruto is just like find out who the bad guy is, chase after them, fight them, win against them, save ALL of the generic characters and save the day thanks to Naruto.

Bleh, Bleach rocks for me....once the fillers stop. XD

kimu 11-04-2007 08:06 PM

Both are repetitive and such, and I dont liek neither anymore >__> Xcept for Sakura and that orange haired girl in bleach, they rock my world, well, mostly sakura.

titaneatomoe 11-05-2007 09:40 PM

I cant say for sure cause ive seen all the naruto eps (so far) and ive only seen 5 eps of bleach...with me it's never the storyline that gets me into the anime but the characters...with Naruto I love Hinata cause i was just like her when i was younger...but now im like sakura with a little dark self in my head LOL ... I cant remember the name of the girl from bleach but i love her as well...the one with long orange hair and the snowflake hair clips.

blueeyedpegasus 11-06-2007 03:40 PM

Bleach all the way

BLEACH!!!!!! I SAY BLEACH! Ichigo is so hot and so is Renji and I wouldn't mind big a soul reaper that would be AWESOME (even if I did have to fight hallows!)

pillow_maiden 11-06-2007 08:53 PM

i would have to pick bleach, i like naruto but bleach is better.

Vii 11-06-2007 11:39 PM

Hmm... I'm not into Bleach and Naruto anymore, even though it just got to the good parts, it's still boring to watch and I see no point in wasting my time watching somthing I don't enjoy. I would have to say Bleach is better than Naruto ( In my opinion. )

PandaLily 11-07-2007 12:57 AM

Bleach only gets exciting after the 26th episode. I find Naruto has a whole bunch of fillers and stuff. And Bleach fans are intensely crude when Bleach has about 5. Personally, i like Bleach more =)

Character wise, I think Hitsugaya (from bleach) is better than most naruto characters x3!

Soulist 11-07-2007 01:14 PM

I also think that Bleach has more story and better characters...

In Naruto, it just seems that the generation Naruto is in develops more and more, and with every day, Naruto gets stronger and stronger...

It's just too DragonBallZ esq for me... I don't hate it... I just like Bleach better.

same here i just think naruto repeats itself a bit too much and the characters are cool but some of them annoy me for some reason i dont know why they just do lol

i didn't mind naruto so much but on of my old friends was so obsessed with role playing him that i just saw naruto and this friend and it really annoyed me

as i said i have only just got into bleach but so far its amazingly good and i have loads of episodes on my tv saved that i still have to watch but sadly because of school and studies and rubbish like that i dont have time and my weekends are full with going Christmas shopping but this weekend i hope to get bleach volume 2 because i am just getting into the manga aswell

Michan Starfire 11-10-2007 05:09 AM

I like both. I've watched and read Naruto longer,so I suppose Naruto's my favorite. I'm getting more into BLEACH now, so mabe that'll change.

I'm still a die-hard Rock Lee fan, tho. Yosh! <3

suppi 11-10-2007 06:42 AM

Um.. I've never really watched Naruto, but I've heard a lot of stuff about it from other people.. not interesting to me.. so, I prefer Bleach over it. n__n ['cause it's just that awesome :D]

Takeno-Kun 11-10-2007 10:23 PM

Honestly?
I really cant say ^^;;
Well Probably if given the choice id watch Naruto over bleach but both have their moments and it all depends on what Im in the mood for. Naruto's plot and etc are a little common in anime but it is intended for kids. Look how long Pokemons made it. D:

Eileanora 11-10-2007 10:38 PM

definitely bleach, to me it has a more mature theme than naruto.
the storyline itself is much better than naruto, and doesn't just have a focus on one or two characters. also, bleach doesn't have as many fillers that naruto seems to air >.>

plus, nowadays it seems most people watch naruto just to be a part of a fad =\ overall i like bleach extremely better.

ciara cyanide 11-10-2007 11:33 PM

Bleach for me.
around the same time i started reading/watching both
I do have to admit my summer two years ago was all about youtubing naruto
but after episode 100 or so i started to get bored of naruto
the same thing happened to most of my friends.
But I recently just got back into bleach because i was taking a break because i was collecting the works of kaori yuki.
but ive never been able to get back into naruto unlike i did with bleach.
bleach has always kept me interested unlike naruto.
I know naruto has a huge fanbase and so does bleach
but if its to choose naruto or bleach.
I would say bleach in a heartbeat :]

NoteBook 11-11-2007 08:50 PM

i think bleach is better because i dont like anime that people talk everytime in my entourage

Sutorumie Karurusonu 11-12-2007 11:47 PM

I obsessed over Naruto for two-three years, and Bleach for only a couple months. Plus, I've heard that Bleach may be failing, and although I don't agree, I think Naruto may be better in my opinion. I lurv both though. <3

Akstar 11-16-2007 02:01 AM

I've seen both and I hate them, their repetitive about as bad as the Dragon Ball Z series that just kept going on and on, which includes Inuyasha. However DBZ and Inuyahsa at least pull it off better and I didn't have an extreme hated of those two. Also those Bleach and Naruto seem to be hyped, Naruto is worse in that department though so, if I had to be strapped to be forced into watching either of them I would rather be forced to watch Bleach.

naruu 11-17-2007 03:34 PM

I like Bleach a whole lot more, I've seen Naruto a few times but the whole plot just doesn't interest me.

lilaithia 11-19-2007 02:38 AM

Bleach! Naruto is good, but no comparison to bleach.

Katana warrior 11-21-2007 10:57 AM

i like them both i've only recently started to read bleach and it is a very good manga but naruto i've read more of and sasuke is my roleplay character so yea im knd of tied between the two lol.
But if i had to chosse out of bleach or naruto i would probably go for bleach as it is a very good manga and naruto is kind of all the same trial this and trial that on no naruto sucks and yay sasuke rocks and sakuras in love wih sasuke i mean its kind of all the same lol but i still like it. but then i prefer bleach lol

Rinali Lee 11-24-2007 11:11 PM

Bleach all the waaaaay. <3

Oh, but first off?

DISCLAIMER: EVERYTHING I SAY HERE IS MY OWN OPINION AND YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OWN. IF YOU LIKE NARUTO MORE THAN BLEACH, FINE BY ME; I'M JUST RAMBLING/RANTING. >.>;; I'm not saying you must love Bleach or anything.

Anyone. Back on to Bleach. Have you guys SEEN the latest developments?! D: I mean, sure, it sounds like one of "those" mangas, where it's "oh, boy becomes superhero/has supernatural powers and goes kick some ass", but it really does get much better later on. And even if there are moments that certainly do drag on and on and on...and on...and there's the typical "main character gets stronger and stronger" stuff going on, it is by far better than Naruto.

D:< I hate Naruto. [Both the person and the show]. I have a tendency to dislike main characters, but....god, I just want to tear him a new one.

It's not even the dub that's the main cause--although it certainly does suck ass--it's just...so...BAD. My first reaction to it was "What the hell kind of ninja wears bright orange?!"

Naruto has got to have some of the worst outfit designs I've ever seen; Naruto aside, what the crap is Sasuke wearing? And what is up with those retarded whiskers on Naruto? Yea, yea, he's got a fox crammed inside him--so? He doesn't have a stupid tail, does he? [In his normal form; I know he CAN sprout tails, 'kay?] So what, is he making a statement?

Also, I'm a stickler for art. I'm sorry, but even if the storyline is amazing (which it isn't, in Naruto's case), chances are, I wouldn't read it if the art sucked. While Naruto's art is certainly better than that of...say....Wedding Peach or whatever, it's still pretty bad, IMO.
