Nah, it's really all about balance. When it comes to making avis on this site there are so many ways to customize with the layers it's ridiculous, lol.
Personally, I think main keys to it are taking advantage of the layers, using smaller items to create interest and accessorize. I think I wind up using more headwear, jewelry, belts etc than the actual shirts, pants etc items. |

Don't be afraid to play. x3 Just try to keep in mind getting a color in the top, middle and bottom of your avi and you're golden. ^^ You'll figure it out from there.
