THIS IS SPARTA! (lulz, yes i know it's really 300.)

But what most people miss out is...

The 300 were not just really 300.

That's just the number of Spartans who went.

They were accompanied by their slaves and what nots who also went to battle so technically they were more than 300. But I take it only 300 were credited as citizens and noteworthy since if you were a slave, you were not recognized anyway.

Heck your name would RARELY go down in history given you did something so amazing it was note worthy---say you tried to overtake some systemic order and failed. Or almost won.

Some slave tried before... I forgot his name. He was a former gladiator who did the largest slave uprising and established a mini state of slaves within a state. That was up and until the Roman empire caught up and managed to quell them.

Now that guy was amazing. Just forgot his name. Imagine he managed to combine so much slaves of different origins and tongues to co exist and help one another...
