Sex is biologically constructed. So if you were born a man with a sexual organ of a man, I'm afraid to say it but you're a damn male. And same goes for the female.
Now if you were a hermaphrodite, then I'd say you're both. Or whichever organ predominates you since that would be the more plentiful of hormones coursing through your body. Gender on the other hand is socially constructed. Meaning it's a label put upon you by society to categorize you. It's the measure of how feminine or masculine or what you go for. Do you go for dogs or cats or girly boys? People seem to like to interchange the two terms a lot when there is such a big difference between the two. One is something you can't run away from or change, one was created for ease of explaining why people like boys and girls and ought to. Saa~ Don't be afraid to use the word sex simply because of the taboo meanings and implications that goes with it. The issue here is Mozzy's sex. Not his gender. It's the proper term. @[email protected] You guys have no idea how many times I was tempted to put in 'bisexual' when there are blanks for Gender in application forms. Or slash it out and write Sex. >__>; Unless we want to know how masculine/feminine he gets according to society's meterstick. But really. Do we really have to know? |

Regardless of our physical sex, we can't deny that we do have both sets of hormones. One that is associated with masculinity and femininity. It just so happens that if we're born male, we get a higher dosage of the female hormones thus increasing the possibilities of males to display masculine traits such as aggressiveness.
Though there are circumstances in which males CAN have a higher dosage of the female chemicals than their male chemicals. In the case of a husband/live in partner/male caretaker who stays too much about a pregnant woman, due to their close contact, their body chemicals will adjust and get affected. The male's hormones/chemicals will also shoot up and make it seem that he himself is undergoing pregnancy minus the child. Yup. That's why there are instances of where husbands/live in partners/male caretakers freak out as much, become supposedly emotional and end up craving stuff like the pregnant woman they're with. XDDD The joys of science. o.o |

That's even how they managed to differentiate this certain African tribe from the other, though it wasn't by amount of body hair but by their tolerance for...MILK. O___o; Most Asians aren't hairy unless they're male. XDDD' But even if they are male, they don't have so much hair either. o___o Especially compared to the Caucasian counterparts. I haven't met a Negroid/African/Southern Hemisphere person yet enough to observe... Though me thinks hair issues are mostly for adaptation purposes. Think evolution. Wait. Let's put it this way: We're all the same but since we live in different areas we ended up diversifying because of the living conditions. -nods- Saa~ From hormones to evolution. O_o; |

Listening to me, you'd never get that I was a Political Science major. >3 We're very well rounded. Yes, biology in a Pol Sci course makes sense. It helps you understand and get a different facet to all those CRAPPY gender -when properly it should be female chauvinist and radical studies since Gender is all encompassing and also calls for masculinity to be studied not just femininity D<- studies subjects we have to take. But really. ._. If we were for gender equality and stuff... Why just study heterosexual women? What about lesbian and bisexual women? MY PROFESSOR SHOULD BE BURNED AT THE STAKE!!!
