I would love to know how to do those thing. Was wanting to build my own computer that suit my needs.
|
I don't think he's built a laptop before, but I know he can do desktops. Whenever we get money (read: never ;)) he'll make a desktop for both of us to use. It's not pressing right now as we both use laptops and wouldn't really get use of a desktop with the baby running around.
|
Desktop runs better than laptop... *approved*
|
I do miss a desktop, but the laptop has been a godsend for schooling. xD
|
Schooling? hmm... oh yes. Well, it is true in a way. Maybe your course needs to have laptop every class.
I can't imagine how the students in the old days survive without laptop. |
I survived grade school and high school, but I don't know what those are like now.
I didn't "need" a laptop for undergrad, but it was certainly helpful to be able to do my coursework on a laptop in the breaks between classes. With graduate work, I'm doing it at a distance, and sometimes the instructors ask us to look at their PowerPoint slides as they go along. Things like that. But the ability to just pick up the machine and walk away is very helpful. |
heh, I thought your instructor would have conduct the lesson in a classroom equipped with projector?
I need computer because, the compiter lab in my place certainly wasn't enough for the student population. |
It's via distance (usually video conferencing), so depending on which room we're in, they don't always have the equipment available. :)
|
oh... ok. Wow if only mine can do the same as well.
Unfortunately my course need close tutorial with the tutors... |
What are you studying? :)
|
Architorture... RAWR!

*rolls out of bed*
Gosh darn it. One of the dogs peed on my husband's side of the bed now. Not sure who. Aaron said he'd take care of it, though. I took last night off from work as I felt dreadful. Right now I'm trying to wake up to see how I feel. So far so good. |
eww... teach the dogs some manners! D:
I certainly don't enjoy peed on things. |
It's hard to build laptops from the ground up since the bits and bobs that go into them are so specialized in terms of shape and size. Desktops are a breeze, though, and if anyone ever realized how easy it was to build a desktop, computer people would be out of jobs.
|
hope it's a little puppie. |
Why little puppie?
Heh! My next desktop will be custom built! *determined* |
I don't know why they do it. I think it's my dog, actually. I caught him doing it the other night, on me!
I'm feeling OK right now I guess. It was nice having some time off work, but I will have to bite the bullet and go back Sunday. I don't mind my job, I just really hate the circumstances I'm in. Aaron won't be working until the beginning of April at the earliest. He doesn't even know how much longer it will last. He just doesn't think he can do better... |
On you... *ahahaha!!!*
Aww, I hope you and your dear ones would go through this. *sends good hopes* |
I would be flipping out if my animals kept peeing, more so when on me. You have far more patience than I do there. :s
Hang in there. I hope he can get back to work at a new and better job. I've been there when my partner didn't think he could do better than the crap job he was in. I encouraged what I could when I could, but it took him a long while of contemplation before he bit the bullet and went back to school. And if he had the time, he'd be working where he had his first clinical. They want him there because he did such a good job. So, this summer probably! |
Izumi~~it could be because they still smell the urine. even when items are washed in water and detergent the odor can still be smelled by an animal. try some urine busters sprayed on the spots before washing. something like urine be gone, or natures wonders. pet stores have them on sale often as does walgreen. not sure if you have one close to you. you can always order online. ;} good luck, sweetie. |
@hummy - it is a possibility. I know (as disgusting as this sounds) we got the mattress second hand and there looked like there was a spot from possibly a dog. We cleaned it up as best we could, and then put a mattress protector over it. The problem is it is suppose to keep from leaking through but always some seeps through when it happens. We try to wipe it up as best as possible. Hopefully once we have a bit more money we can buy a brand new mattress and frame. What we have is a major improvement over what Aaron had when we left though...he picked that up on the side of the road. This, we bought second hand from a rent to own. Not ideal, but it was $100 for a set that would of cost probably five times that.
@Chi - *sighs* I'm hoping so. He's still waiting out on this job of his, and if by April it isn't back he will be for sure looking. Right now he tells me he is keeping his eye out, but not really going to hop at anything unless it is as good as or better. He wants to go back to school, but he has outstanding student loan and with work being so up in the air the last thing he wants to do is sign up for a semester of school only to have to put it on the back burner if they do call him back. He badly wants to finish his degree in engineering. |
i've been there, Izumi♥. do try the urnine be gone or natures urnine stuff. i hope it helps. |
I hope he can eventually get back and finish his degree. It would hopefully open up more avenues for you guys. Hang in there!!
|
Yep sure would!!
Oh I got to tell you more goss later. I would now but feeling pretty tired and I have to go to work tomorrow. I definitely will fill you in later. :3 |
Is it good news? XD I hope it's good news.
