Roachi, I've been logging on, occasionally chatting in the parents' thread. I've lacked the time and energy to be active-active. I'm on the final hump of grad school, so it'll be nice to have a life again, online and offline. Most free time is offline these days. How have you been?

I do need to put an updated Terra photo. She's huge. Two years old and in size 5T. It's difficult to keep up with her growth. :(

Me? Eh i've been okay. Been through heaps of life changes in the past 6 months. But other then that, just work, work is my life at the moment. Suppose to be losing weight - story of my life. But too lazy lol.

If the sacrifices aren't worth it, I'm going to throw in the towel. I think they will be though. Just taking my community case management job has been very eye-opening. Now I just need to get licensed as a therapist, and I can start implementing my ideas. My group and I want to change the community the best we can...

And I'm tired of the "Can we get this $5 item without screwing up the budget?" lifestyle, selfishly. I'm so tired of never being ahead no matter how hard I work. Granted, over half my work hours are unpaid. More so in January! I do hope the paychecks are worth it, even with what will be a pile of student loans to pay back.

I hear you, chi. I'm sick of being poor, too. I'm hoping that things turn out better in time, but the more time passes it feels like I'm just having to deal with a new norm. I'm pretty lucky this year regarding Christmas as my parents sent money to us. Otherwise, it was going to be really small. I'm still trying to hold into some money as Aaron has two 3 day weeks coming up. I guess I could put in some extra time as they are begging me to work..

Life isn't that bad, but it just feels like we can't really get ahead.

Izumi, we got presents for Terra, but we're not doing gifts this year for the adults. It's too tight. We're not getting ahead either. x.x

We were going to have to do the same with our kids and us not getting anything. My parents sent me money this year which surprised both of us but we were really greatful.
