Ohhh Aaron made some delicious pub burgers tonight. They were on sale. They're so big that they're difficult to eat and very pink in the middle. They're delicious. [drool]

So how is everyone tonight? I'm just taking it easy. Today and tomorrow off and Pam is with her mom this weekend. When we dropped her off earlier today she wasn't too thrilled. She said she wasn't dreading like it like the previous couple of weekends, but things are still a bit rocky with her mom. I felt bad dropping her off. I think she's a smart kid though and is plotting a way to get a part time job or clubs that interfere with her weekend commutes to her mother's house. I wouldn't stop her either...and I don't think her mom would fight it if she is being active. When Tristan was doing baseball we missed a lot of summer time to let him take part in practices and games. I would expect the same. I should know better though...heh.

The hotel internet is being dumb. :< I'll pop back in if I can.

She's living with you now?

Yep Pam is my 14 year old step daughter, and after quite the fight with her mom she is living with us now. (The fight was over her telling her mom that's what she wanted to do...honestly.) Things have simmered down a bit and the only thing her mom is holding hostage is her iPod. In the meantime she's borrowing mine indefinitely, if need be. We just went to her open house on Tuesday, and first day of freshman year starts this coming Tuesday. I'm super excited. I wish I could go back to highschool!

@Chi - awww but but it's the first time I've seen you in a long time. Hope the internet works itself out. Don't want to let you go just yet. D:

Yeah things are going really well. She seems to be much happier here. She wasn't getting along with her mom's boyfriend for some time, plus both Pam and Tristan were still sharing a bedroom. Now they both have their own room.

I'm not ruling out Tristan following but first hoping to get that bigger house, and also establish Pam does better in school. Maybe then we would have a better time trying to convince the courts (as it would most likely have to go through them as their mom wouldn't give up both kids...not without a lot more drama, for sure..) that he would be much better off education wise with us. We'll see. Don't want to rock the boat for now.
