It went well. People didn't seem to mind having to stand, we had enough food (in fact, we have lots of leftover food), and all of her dad's friends are so nice. In fact, one of them works in publishing and asked for my business card. Her dad was extremely surprised but very happy.

We got the family room and dining room cleaned up last night, but we still need to clean the kitchen.

Good, good.

Gah, kitchen cleaning. That's something I have to do today, too. Right now I'm backing up my external HD. It's been a few months.

I need to back up my harddrive, but my darn external harddrive is broken.

I'm doing some work today myself. It's such beautiful weather outside too so it kinda feels like a waste of a day. Not like I'd do anything otherwise, but still. :P

I think hubby has plans afterwards, as he keeps on asking me how long I'm working etc. I was thinking of practicing my parking in the park here after work. I really want to ace that damn test.

I don't know what's up with mine. It's... not letting me copy my music in large batches. I'm going to try and do it individually/small batches of sub-folders and see what happens. It's perplexing.

The thing shouldn't be ready to die. I don't use it often, and it's not 2 years old yet. >/

I'm worried I'm getting sick. I shook a lot of people's hands last night and spent a long time in a crowded three rooms, and now I'm feeling a little off. If I get sick, I can't go down to Delaware for Thanksgiving because of the baby.

Do you have any hand sanitizer? If you feel ill, try and sleep today even if you have crap to do. The more rest you get the better chances you can shake stuff off.

If your throat hurts, go get some Listerine to gargle with. It's nasty, but I promise you it helps kill off throat infections faster than any medication out there.

That's what I heard too, Chi. That gargling with mouthwash can help you ward those off. I also try to be extra vigilant in washing my hands before eating, especially if I've been around other people who could be sick. I hope you'll be OK though Cami, cause that would really stink if you couldn't join your family for Thanksgiving. :(

Speaking of Thanksgiving, I'm looking forward to it myself. Getting together with the family and the kids are looking forward to it too. Pam's helping out in the kitchen with her dad. :)

I'm just worried about getting the flu, since it's going around here. Danielle's brother has been sick for over a week and had over 104 temperature. They've been quarantening a lot of the college kids. At tufts, if they're local they're told to go home. If they're not, they're locked in their room and a cafeteria person with a mask brings them food.

That's what's going on at my campus, too, Cami. We're on Thanksgiving break now, but up until then, that was the procedure. It's why my Research Methods group and I scrambled to get our data collection done RIGHT THEN. One of our group members got booted out of campus with her husband because of it, so we were quite worried we'd get it.

Kellen did indeed have H1N1, as his tests showed. I ended up missing 2 weeks of work because I didn't want to get exposed. Especially not having to go out within the elderly population.

Izumi, you know what's odd? Yesterday we (and by we, I mean Cole, since I wrenched my back) went grocery shopping for Thanksgiving and they are OUT of canned pumpkin due to the poor harvest this season. I'm hoping that the shops in town have three cans. That's all we need. x_X

Not gonna be Thanksgiving without pumpkin goodies! XD

That's the second I've heard of there not being a good number of pumpkins this year. So weird.

I just had a delicious meal consisting of some really weird pizza (nobody knows what kind it was), artichoke hearts, broccoli slaw, and cake. Mmmm. ^-^

We have all kinds of leftover mineral water too. Would that be better than regular water?
