4 hour drive? Yikes. ;-;
I live off campus, and I commute about 30 minutes each way. It's not ideal, but eh. I'll be back in a bit. Gonna do the dishes I reckon. :3 |
Ahh, doing dishes! x.x You brave soul! =o
I might get up for breakfast...soon.... |
Ah, breakfast. I forgot about that. :XD I'll be a bit longer then. >.> ... <.<
|
Heheh, yeah. xD Alright, I'm gonna be strong and get up now!! :3 See you later, Chi! ;D
|
Hi Chi, Bye Chi!
Jumped in the shower and got some laundry started on my break. Got a mountain of laundry to catch up on since we were gone for the weekend. >< |
I didn't end up doing dishes, as Kin came out after I'd started to finish.
I should do my last 3 loads of laundry today, too. I did 3 last night. I have enough clothes to intern in this week though, so I dunno if I'll do anything or not. |
It drives me nuts when the clothes hamper starts to overflow, plus I want some fresh bedsheets to put on and we only have one set of the flannel. I started the bedsheets first so I can make sure to get that washed, then I'm going to be washing clothes until the hamper is empty.
|
Mmm, fresh bedding would be awesome right now. I love fresh sheets. :XD
I have another busy 2 weeks, and then a break. I can't wait. Then this horrific semester is ooover!! |
Yay to the semester being over!! I'll be starting school up soon and I'm dead excited. Still no license although I haven't been back since attempt #1. I'd practice today since hubby is off work but it is pouring down rain today. I think I'm going to stick to staying inside thanks. :XD
I think what makes me so anal about washing is my parents use to have so much clothing that they'd pile it up on this table and it seriously was big enough to reach the ceiling. I use to hate that as if I didn't get my laundry as soon as it was done, my parents would just fling my pile of clothes into it and I'd have to seriously dig to find it. I hated that!!! I loooove nice and warm sheets just out of the dryer!! Specially on a cold day. Nothing feels as comfortable and relaxing. :heart: |
My clothes end up piling ridiculously high in my bathroom. Kin's end up... pretty much everywhere now. Sometimes they're piled in the bedroom and only the bedroom. Other times in his bathroom. Then sometimes they're piled just as you walk into the apartment.
I think I need to grab more laundry hampers. It sounds awful typing it out doesn't it? :gonk: It's usually contained but on bad weeks we're both horrid. Even now tons of his clothes are in the right hallway by his bathroom and still piled everywhere in the bedroom. Before we fly out to Wisconsin for Christmas, I am making sure this place is cleaned up. We'll have my nephew shortly after, and we have some pretty "bleh" habits to break. |
Luckily I'm usually pretty on top of things when Aaron is at work. It's harder to motivate myself when he's lying around playing videogames, so while he's laid off things are a little more lax. He actually said to me that I just need to jump in and do something and he'll follow suit and I had to explain to him that I work the opposite way - I need him the hell out of the house and out of my way before I will do anything heavy duty normally. I hate having to clean around people.
Our place is actually fairly tidy right now. I need to do the whole sweep/mop/vacuum thing here soon as it's been a week. I think the worst looking area is the damn bookshelf and my desk (although it isn't too bad right now) as usually that's where clutter tends to pile. :P |
I don't like cleaning with people around either. I don't like it when Cole jumps in to help with something I've already started. It's stupid, but it makes me feel somehow incapable. I know it makes no sense.
Our apartment right now isn't disastrous, but it does need a good clean-up. We still have our broken couch in the kitchen (our kitchen is huge, and it's not even in the way of anything), and that needs to go. Same as a big bag of old cookware. If I work Tuesday I'll bring it to Mom's. Though I just remembered I'll be going down to a reservation then. Well, I'm not sure it's a real reservation. I'll let you know once I go. It's for my internship. I asked to go as I'm interested. :3 |
Ohh your job sounds so interesting, Chi! You gotta tell us how it goes and what you get up to. I'm curious! =3
I don't mind him jumping in and helping, as it makes things go twice as fast, but I need him to say OK lets clean and get this over with. I said you tell me when we should start and I'll agree with you as long as it isn't absurd. (My ex use to accuse me of wanting to clean at 'absurd' hours - as 6pm and later was OK for cleaning - just as long as it gets done....God I really don't miss him or that tip of a house we lived in. We couldn't agree on anyone and we were as stubborn as the other so we just sat on our asses and waited until it became unbearable...I hated it, but I hated him expecting me to carry the entire load or at least the majority of it by myself...) You know the old apartment wasn't the cleanest at times either...well everywhere but the bedroom was fairly clean and tidy, but it took the longest time to organize his bedroom. That use to be his storage area and there was still boxes stacked up in the corners from when he moved in a few months before I did. I finally bitched about that and the bed enough that we cleaned and organized, and bought a much nicer bed. I think I enjoy keeping this place clean too because it is my place and I do think I'm in a better mood when it is relatively clean and smells good. Of course, I work from home and don't wander out often so I would go insane otherwise. :P |
I can't think of a single room in our place right now that's actually tidy. The kitchen is closest, and the living room... alright, the living room isn't bad.
But one of the spare bedrooms (which will be a nursery eventually) is my "eBay room". I have a bunch of stuff I imported from Japan to sell off for small profit. It's packed to the brim, and even when tidy, it's still a mess. :XD Our guest room is tidy, but the closet is full of stuff. I don't think my nephew will be here longer than a month, but we've pondered over cleaning that closet out and putting some of the stuff down into storage. If I can get most of my school crap done and out of the way (something I should be doing now, but have no desire to) we could get going on it. Cole's had more time off from work lately than not, so it's opportunistic. I don't even know what we have down in storage anymore. o_o I really don't. I'm sure a lot of it is all old junk which could be tossed. |
When I was down there earlier, I leaned face-first into a full-fledged spiderweb. It SUCKED.
|
...
xD; that is the reason I don't go into my basement. Sooo many cobwebs and such. |
Okay, would you add 2k though? [:
|
Evening everyone! Getting there with the laundry. Should have half of it done before the night is done. Then I'll just have half a dirty clothes hamper and the clothes in the suitcase to take care of, some dishes, 4 hours of dishes and dinner.
If I don't get any hours Tues, I'm going to get to doing some of the normal chores done - mopping/sweeping/vacuming...that fun stuff. @Chi - Aaron is telling me for Thursday at the court hearing that I should not say anything about there being any accidents in the house whatsoever, and that the only way we're going to win this is to be as tight lipped as possible about the possibility of it ever being peed on. It has but not nearly enough to ruin it - I mean I had the steam vac to use to clean up any messes anyhow. My mom wrote me a statement, but only saying she bought a steam vac and then gave it to me when she upgraded to her kirby which was a combination vacuum. I don't have every piece of paper ever given to me by the landlord, and Aaron is certain he is a pro at winning these types of things and says that he will be doing the same - not saying anything to hurt his claim. God I feel so uncomfortable and awkward. I hate lying, and I just feel so uneasy about the situation. I don't know if I should not try to discuss a different tactic. Do you have much experience in court? :| |
@Sofa
Sorry. I was able to get one for 6.5k. ^_^; I appreciate it though! @Hata I forgot that one area of storage is all furniture. That makes storing the rest more difficult. xD I'm pretty sure most of the stuff in the closet can be taken care of with... oh, probably 2 more totes, so I think we're good. @Izumi I don't have experience in court. All I can say is, don't offer up incriminating information UNLESS you are asked. Don't give it out on your own free will, but if the judge or someone else asks you a question, be honest. You can say you steam vacuumed the rugs whenever there was a mess, but don't unless asked if your cats had an accident. I hope Thursday comes quickly so that the nervousness will end. :( |
I need to do something to get my sets for the month, but I don't feel like getting my thread back up.
|
would you be willing to sell yin-yan for 1.5k?
edit: please pm me if you accept/haggle, I need to go for now |
@Cami
I haven't seen too many sellers. What I have seen sell lately has been around 3k a set. x_x; @lilis No thanks. :3 Edit: Oooh, your art is absolutely gorgeous! |
@chi - thank you <3
so around what price would you accept? |
I sold my Midas Touch for 3k, so I'm not really wanting to go lower than 2.5k for the Yin-Yang. :sweat:
|
ummm ^^;; might be too high for me.. thanks though.. I'll probably try to sell art for it OTL -fail-
