Damnit. I've bee so absurdly obsessed with iced coffee lately. And now you reminded me I haven't had any today! D:
Haha.

I've also been obsessed with Dancing with the Stars. *sigh* Too bad I can't watch it on TV, just on Hulu. I'd love to be able to vote. It's so exciting!

Chi 04-14-2010 10:54 PM

Cole's been into this season of it, too. :XD

steelmagghia 04-14-2010 10:58 PM

Dude. It's crazy awesome this season!!! Haha. I have no idea why. I've never been really into it, but this season? Whhoaah!
Haha.

Chi 04-14-2010 11:03 PM

I watched a couple seasons of it, but this season didn't really have a roundup of people I was interested in. I've kept a casual eye on it though. :3~

steelmagghia 04-14-2010 11:08 PM

I have to admit, I feel it's a bit stacked. I mean really? An ice skater, a singer/dancer, and a model are all trained in performing gracefully. They're guaranteed to do well.
Neicy and Kate are just...so not very graceful. *sigh*
I think if there weren't audience votes I wouldn't watch at all. Because Pamela Anderson almost got kicked off because of audience votes. Heh.

Chi 04-14-2010 11:09 PM

I liked watching the season with Kelly Monico. She started out with little-to-no experience and ended up winning it. :XD

steelmagghia 04-14-2010 11:11 PM

Heh. I doubt Kate or Neicy will win it.
It's unlikely to be a big upset this season with the winners, but I'm enjoying the dancing. The judges are hilarious. I think Bruno is totally insane. Haha.

Chi 04-14-2010 11:13 PM

I also doubt Kate or Neicy will win, too. The others have too much talent in comparison, but who knows!

steelmagghia 04-14-2010 11:16 PM

True that. Haha. They've both stuck in there longer that I had assumed they would have, so there is that. And Kate's last performance really was a hell of a lot better (still bad, but better!).
Haha.

Chi 04-14-2010 11:26 PM

Yeah, it was. She's one that I'll look up from the computer to watch, because I'm genuinely curious about her progress.

steelmagghia 04-14-2010 11:31 PM

Indeed. She is so very unused to both performance and dance that it's really amazing every time she improves. It's fun to watch someone improving like that.

Chi 04-14-2010 11:33 PM

Welp, I think I'm gonna mosey offline for a while. If I don't get up and go pack the lunch, I know I won't do it, period. :XD

See you later!

steelmagghia 04-14-2010 11:38 PM

Ciao, Chi!

Izumi 04-15-2010 12:08 AM

I missed you guys. I got so wrapped up in math I missed the conversation.

Well I guess my schedule wasn't hell enough I decided to try to shove four more classes in to get my macro stamp and a Liberal Studies certificate. I figure I might as well get my bang for my buck. Now lets hope I can ride out on unemployment, or I'll be taking out student loans to finance myself once I do. I really do not want to work AND go to school as I want to go to school and do WELL.

steelmagghia 04-15-2010 12:35 AM

*hugs*
I'm still here, if you are!

Izumi 04-15-2010 11:49 AM

Nope I wandered off before you replied. :(

Oh oh I have to take Biology in the Spring...Going to need your help then! (I imagine it will be a difficult class for me...I didn't like or do well in my high school biology class. I must say though the teacher didn't help fuel my curiosity either.)

Chi 04-15-2010 02:05 PM

Sometimes the instructor can make it a good one. I'll hope so!

Is it weird that I got all excited when I read this? Because I did. I was like...*squee* BIOLOGY...and I get to be useful!!! Hooray!!!
Haha.
God. I'm a nerd.

Izumi 04-16-2010 12:47 AM

Awesome! Because I'll probably need help, Steel. I mean I'll try my best to keep up but Science and Math are probably my two worst subjects...well unless you count PE, and then I stink the most at that. I never did get the Presidential award in grade school for beating all the 'challenges'. Not even close. :XP

----------

I will say I got awarded it in school for my academics in the classroom. The two top students got it...me and my grade school crush...Micah Graham. LOL. I wonder what he looks like these days...but at age 10 he was really dreamy. :XD

I got this really nifty pin and a certificate for it too, but it's long lost. :'(

I wish I could brag about my grades in Middle and High School, but to be honest I didn't try.

steelmagghia 04-16-2010 12:57 AM

Aww. No worries, I was terrible in PE as well. The teacher was *so* grumpy and I have weak ankles, so just straight up running was really painful for me. And I loved frilly dresses in grade school, and while I would happily climb a tree in a lacy dress, it sucked trying to run around in them.

I always did exceedingly well in school, but I never won the awards because I was so shy and quiet. Though I did get the honor in college of being the only student to be barred from answering any more questions in multiple classes. Haha. My professors got tired of me being the only one to answer their questions. Hehe. It made me giggle.

I'll totally be happy to help you in any sciences, especially any biologies, that you have to take. :)

Izumi 04-16-2010 01:05 AM

Awesome!! I can do it~! *fist pump*

I asked my instructor in Algebra if she think I could do well in 104 and she's like yah I think you'll do well. She says you're doing exceedingly well in my class, and it's just building on what you learn here. If not, I'm sleeping with "Mr. Math" and he will help me. I told him I have a section devoted in scientific notation and he got all excited. He's like I do that at a daily basis at work! I'm thinking EWWWWW....

I'm trying to find Micah on FaceBook as I had THE biggest crush on him in 4th and 5th grade. He use to wear this *really cute* Flinstones shit and pants outfit his mommy made him and ohhh I am SO curious if he turned out to be really hot later on in life, or he is really nerdy and not hot...and like what he's doing. I'm so shallow. D:

steelmagghia 04-16-2010 01:13 AM

Bwahaha. Oh man, Zumzum. You crack me up. Heh. Conveniently, I went to high school with all of my elementary crushes, and most of them are my facebook friends. Hehe.

Scientific notation is all about remembering rules. I like it because it makes things consistent. There isn't a question about where you should round something to. It's nice.

Izumi 04-16-2010 01:17 AM

I get it for the most part, it's just working with really nasty numbers which I really don't like. :< (Hence why Physics just SO doesn't excite me....)

I moved when I was 11 from Florida, and I constantly wonder what those people are like now and what they're doing. I wonder where my small circle of friends from NC are doing. I sometimes wish we stayed in one damn place so I was able to form longlasting friendships. Well until I heard my one college buddy's problem with her '5th grade BFF' who has been a major pain in her ass and leaving weird ass messages on her cellphone about thinking she might be a lesbian but at the same time doesn't approve of her lifestyle and wants her to read devotions from the bible. She's filled me in on her drug using past and it's kind of hypocritical of her...

steelmagghia 04-16-2010 01:20 AM

Holy cow! That's some drama.
There were a lot of good thing about growing up in the same city most of my life. I will tell you it makes it harder for me to adjust to new places, though. I don't make new friends as easily, I get lost easily, and I don't adapt to changing environments well.
But I stable as heck. Haha.

Izumi 04-16-2010 01:25 AM

Well even so I think it takes me awhile to really feel comfortable and adjust, but I think the time I have been stuck working from home with little human contact I did quite well because of it. Aaron, who's working on finishing his 6 weeks of furlough gets really bad cabin fever and starts to get all mopey and stuff and I wonder if that's not part of the problem. I mean he's worried about finances and his job, but at the same time he's kinda isolated by his self and I know how stressful it can feel.
