Sounds like she might be a tortoiseshell domestic medium hair (which basically means a generic Cat with tortoiseshell coloring). Does she have kind of a weird personality? Sort of slightly bipolar? Like a calico?

hummy 10-10-2011 09:05 PM

no, she is an even keeled kittie.
very loving and loyal.

steelmagghia 10-10-2011 09:13 PM

Well that's good. If she is a torti, then you lucked out. It's a beautiful coloring, but man can they be a little weird.

hummy 10-10-2011 09:37 PM

she is afraid to not be loved and to be kicked out of the house i think.
when i first got her she would not drink so her bowel movements were really hard.
then i would coax her to drink by putting water on my finger and she would drink the drops.
and her IBD showed up.
she would run away from the litter box and hide for days.
i kept telling her that i know it isn't her fault and i still love her.
now she drinks freely and still has IBD, just cannot figure out what to do to help her.

steelmagghia:
COME BACK!!!! *cries as she missed her*

I miss you and Chi so much. Stupid real life issues keeping us from chatting. :(

Oh btw my mom has an interview this evening for seasonal work doing what I do. Fingers crossed for her.

Chi 10-11-2011 11:46 PM

There will come a day when we all have more time.

I hope. :gonk:

steelmagghia 10-12-2011 10:08 PM

Aww, man! I missed you guys again! :hugs:

Chi 10-12-2011 10:39 PM

Maybe we'll all be on for the Halloween event? Hey Izumi: , steelmagghia: ?

steelmagghia 10-12-2011 10:42 PM

Maybe! Although I'm planning a pretty elaborate IRL costume and party. But maybe I'll have time for Mene, too.

Chi 10-12-2011 10:43 PM

Halloween is on a Monday, so I doubt I'll be on much unless it's the weekend. :XD

steelmagghia 10-12-2011 10:46 PM

Halloween is the last day my store will be open, so no worries there. I just have to have enough time to get my hair done, since I've been advised against a perm. That means someone has to curl the bejeezus out of my hair. Haha.

Chi 10-12-2011 10:49 PM

I'm still trying to decide if we're going to take Terra trick-or-treating. I think we'll just take her to a handful of relatives and call it good.

steelmagghia 10-12-2011 10:54 PM

That's probably good enough at her age. The earliest I can remember Halloween was age 3. (My sister and I were both black cats and our 15 year old aunt took us).

Chi 10-12-2011 10:56 PM

Yeah, I can't remember my first. I know it must have been before Kindergarten though, as my sister was still young enough to go then.

Now comes the idea of having to visit everyone and be out 4 hours because everyone lives in distant corners. e_e That's the only reservation I have. Terra turns into a banshee when doing the "in and out" car trips. We'd have to go to two aunts, mom, dad, grandparents.

Doesn't sound so fun when I think of it that way.

steelmagghia 10-12-2011 10:59 PM

Invite them to a Halloween party at your house?
That, or just take pictures and do the rounds around the neighborhood.

Krissy 10-12-2011 11:13 PM

What are you gonna dress her as?

I think my favorite type of costumes to see babies in are lady bugs and bees. :squee:

steelmagghia 10-12-2011 11:20 PM

I dunno, baby reptars are AWESOME.

Chi 10-13-2011 01:09 AM

Haha... my friend gave us a ladybug costume, so if we do anything, she'll be in that. ;)

A party is rather daunting and short noticed at this point. It would be more effort to decorate, cook, clean (before and after), and be dressed up. Nooo thanks.

I'm just not all about Halloween I guess. I suck.

Krissy 10-13-2011 01:10 AM

Psh, it's fine not to be all in for Halloween. =P You have other things to worry about besides Halloween - though you'll probably get more into it as your daughter gets older.

Chi 10-13-2011 02:08 AM

I'll be into it when she's older, definitely. We'll walk around everywhere. ^o^

Krissy 10-13-2011 02:10 AM

Haha. My parents were always more excited for Halloween than we were when my brother and I were younger. xD But the first Halloween I could remember, we complained about being tired. We didn't start getting into it till a Halloween later.

Chi 10-13-2011 02:13 AM

I remember the Halloweens that my mother drove us around in a car, and then the Halloweens we walked all over. I much preferred the latter. Not sure what this one will prefer. :XD

I'll definitely dress up with her though.

Krissy 10-13-2011 02:32 AM

I remember my friend's mom took us to a college campus or two for candy, a day before Halloween. The neighborhood kids were making fun of us because Halloween wasn't on that day and they thought we didn't know better - but we had the last laugh because we brought home giant boxes of candy. > w<

Ah, to be young and get free candy. Now I have to buy it. :illgetu: But I love seeing the little ones in costumes running around our neighborhood. Absolutely adorable. xD Though, babies in costumes are my favorite because they are the most adorable. Even if they do get a tad bit grumpy, haha.

hummy 10-13-2011 04:56 PM

that was a great way to get double halloween candy!
boxes of candy beats 'only take one' candy on halloween day.
free candy is the best candy!

Izumi 10-14-2011 08:40 PM

Chi: Yah, I should be able to make it for the Halloween event. Just found out today the kids are staying at their mom's this coming weekend which means I'm going to have the weekend to just Aaron and I. That's no biggie though and we will probably just kick back and take it easy.

Will be nice on the bank account too as we don't need to take them to the apple orchard, or buy pumpkins, or do any of the other things we had planned. A little bummed I guess, but maybe for the first year just Aaron and I will sit on the porch and carve together. :) We don't get to spend a lot of couple time together as we usually stay fairly busy with work and the weekends we are off we always have the kids.
