Krissy: - I was hoping to get close to what I sold it for last week but I didn't want to post the amount unless you asked because I thought that be rude of me. I sold it for 989 gold. I keep my PM's from the auctioneer so that's the only reason I knew exactly what it sold for. xD Would be interested in coming closer to that price? If not, I totally understand, I just don't want to sell for a lot lower than that. ; ) I am not planning on going anywhere with it so if you want to think about it more, that's ok. ^_^

crunky: Well, I just didn't want to pay 3k for it in the MP. xD I was very annoyed that it was the only one listed, and for that price. But I'm always open to haggling. A few hundred gold here and there is really nothing to a few thousand.

That's why I am so glad that they marketplace here averages the prices by what ACTUALLY sells and not by what the lowest price that is currently for sale. That would be mess. xD

Krissy: - you are very welcome, I hope you enjoy it. ^_^ I am surprised more people are not selling them. I mean, they are like 2 years old but I always thought they were really pretty and that more people would have them but who knows? xD I am interested to see how prices settle with the new marketplace. Some things are a bit volatile right now, so its hard to know how to price things but I was happy that at least the average sales of the Rainbow Shawl fell in line with the actual price guide so that made me comfortable with the price. On the plus side, now all sales, if made in the marketplace, are automatically saved and taken into consideration so I think, after a few months, we will get a much better picture of prices. I love that it says how many items were sold so you know if the price is based on too few items sold or if it really is the going price. I have been waiting for this for a long time and I think they did an excellent job implementing it. ^_^

crunky: Yeah, and people seem to love rainbow items on here. So it's a bit puzzling, but I'm not complaining. xD

You have a very good point. The market is a bit iffy right now because it's Mene's new baby and all. At first I wasn't sure about whether a market would be right for Mene's economy, but at the same time, there are a lot of people who don't want to go into the exchange to sell or buy items. So I think it not only helps fighting inflation, but it does offer the chance to buy items that people probably wouldn't normally sell because of just being shy.

Krissy: - exactly! And I think people realize more now that you can have things that other sites have without having all the negatives with it, because it really depends on the people. If you have quality members, than you will be able to implement things that may not have gone over as well on other sites.
I know for me, the marketplace has been really helpful simply because my potential buyers are able to see what I have to sell in a much easier fashion. Especially when it comes to selling commons. They are able to easily see how much the store sells it for and they can even try it on, it's like everyone got their own marketing agency with there store. xD Even though I really enjoy the exchange forum and it's very necessary for haggling and buying items with other items, its still nice to have that option if I want to sell a bunch of stuff but I don't want to revamp my thread at the very moment or have to worry that I won't be online when they want to purchase it. I have even seen people posting their marketplace shop link in their threads so that people can buy their items immediately if they are content with the for sale price. I know some people don't like it, but I really appreciate the anti-snipe system. I feel like everyone has a fair shot than and it's not like being beat by $1.00 on Ebay. xD
