"I'm fine," he said forcing himself to stand up. He moves forward again and then stumbles.
"No I don't think you are!" She finally made it to him with Shadowfax walking quickly behind. "Come on almost there," She said as she opened the door to the hosue for him and called into her brother, "BENJAMEN!!I'VE GOT A SURPRISE FOR YOU!!WELL TWO, ACTUALLY!! BUT BEFORE I SHOW YOU EITHER, YOU HAVE TO CLOSE ALL THE CURTAINS AND BLINDS AND OPEN THE SPARE BEDROOM DOOR WIDE OPEN RIGHT QUICK!!" She yelled in and moved so Vincent could get in. From where she stood she could see her brother in a mad dash around the house. She smirked, knowing he hated it when people - or vampires - told him they had something to show him and didn't show him.
Vincent stumbled into the room his vision a bit fuzzy and collapsed onto the couch. He didn't care that he felt the sun on him. When the curtain was shut he relaxed though and was pleased with himself.
He looked at her brother with a slight grin and smiled at the idea of amusing someone. |
Benjamen payed no attention to the man on their couch that threatened him earlier. Instead, he ran over to Risa when he was done closing all the curtains and blinds. She closed the front door. "What is it what is it what is it?!" He demanded. She laughed a little "Well, who would be more appropriate, but anyway, one, Vincent is moving in two, some crazy man in black attacked us in the forest. Well, he attacked Vincent while I was present. The other is he attacked with this." She pulled out the sword of their father. He gasped and grabbed it. "That man I killed we are related to...father died with his sword and only...UNCLE!" She screamed the last word and jumped up. "That man our uncle he was! I'm telling you he was!" Benjamen agreed with her even as senseless as she was starting to sound.
Vincent smiled slightly at her excitement. He sat up now and looked around wondering what else so he could investigate. It was mostly to see the reaction of either of them.
She looked over at Vincent, who had just sat up. "Everything okay Vincent?" She asked a little worriedly, looking around to make sure no light penetrated the blinds and curtains.
"It's nothing," he said and then blinked. "I had a sword go through me and I didn't die." He was amused by the idea again and snickered slightly.
She arched an eyebrow. "Well then. Anyone else eat food here?" Her brother laughed "Not me." He said in between laughter. She sighed and stood up. "Well then, I think I'm gonna make some dinner for myself. Have fun you two." She said, walking into the kitchen. She got out a few pots and pans and picked the right one, then started making some soup.
Vincent laughed slightly and then readjusted himself so that he was sitting in a more comfortable position. He felt more at ease around her brother but wasn't sure why.
"Benjamen, none of that nonsense, now! STOP IT!" She called from the kitchen. He sighed "You always know don't you, dear?" She laughed "Well I'm supposed to know!" He laughed back and stood, walking into the kitchen he threw his voice behind him "Well you just have the best sense of me, don't you, darling?" She turned around and laughed at his shocked face. "Of course I do, why did you think you could fool me with a trick so simple love?" They both laughed at their very old joke. "I can't believe you just called me that, hun!" He said in between laughter. She laughed harder "Oh your one to talk love! Hun? Darling? Dear? HA!"
Vincent had closed his eyes now and was trying to imagine what it would have been like if he had siblings. e was a bit envious but it wasn't bothering him much and therefore he ignored it for the most part.
She fell out the door and kept herself up by the handle, laughing her head off. "V...Vincent...come come....here now!" She yelled at him in between laughs.
Vincent got up reluctantly and came over to where she was. He was slightly confused and was hoping she wasn't playing a trick on her. He was also fairly tired and he looked tired.
She stood herself up and pulled him into the kitchen, where she shoved Benjamen out. Benjamen had been sitting down and she had pushed out the chair with him still on it, when she started pushing him out, he jumped up, making her fall and start laughing again. He helped her up then she pushed him out. He laughed and went to his room. "G'night you two!" He called form the stairs. She calmed herself again and wrapped her arms around Vincent's neck and kissed him.
Vincent was a bit shocked at first and woke up from it. He relaxed though and wrapped his arms around her waist, though there was some reluctance. "Well now," he said with a smile. "We're no longer running."
She smirked "Well I'm not, at least." She was obviously joking and laughed.
Vincent was pleased with himself at the present time and decided that he needed to sleep. "I need to sleep," he said finally.
She smiled "Kay, nighty night sleepy head....oh that reminds me...why am I making dinner at breakfast time?" She asked with a laugh.
"Well dear," Vincent said with a laugh. "Breakfast or dinner can be served at any time of the day." He left after that and went up to his own room to lay down.
She laughed and put the soup away, then went to her own room and fell asleep.
Vincent awoke later and it wasn't quite time for him to leave the house. He was stubborn though and he walked to one of the windows and opened the curtains.
She heard someone walking in another room and groaned, rolling over, which resulted in her falling off her bed. She just groaned again and rolled under the bed, content in her placing.
Vincent jumped when he heard the sound though and the sun was almost blinding him now. He was in pain but he wouldn't back down from the window. One of the horses neighed outside frantically when it saw him. He stumbled backwards a bit and fell against the door, the sunlight still hitting him.
She groaned, hearing more noise, ands reached up to grab her pillow. After a bit of blind searching she found it and pulled it down, wrapping her head in it to block out the sounds. After she heard a louder thump she finally gave up and went to Vincent's room, the host of all the noises. "Could you keep it down, please?" She asked in a soft, tired voice, after lightly tapping on the door.
Vincent didn't respond at first but he moved out of the sunlight. "Yeah, sorry," he said in a slightly raspy voice. It was obvious he didn't have as much energy as he needed at the present moment.
