Vincent heard the voice again and started running wanting to know what or who it was. He stumbled forward into a clearing and heard Risa not far off. He groaned slightly as he forced himself to stand and realized it was night and would soon be day.
She thought she heard someone but she couldn't see anyone so she grumbled to herself "D**n him...if he died I might just have to kill him again!" She was glaring around and she had stopped crying but her cheeks were shining from all her tears.
Vincent forced himself to stand again and started walking this time. "Risa," he called not expecting an answer.
[[do you understand the clue that go with the flakes?]] |
Her head shot to the sound. She saw Vincent and smiled a broken smile as she ran over to him. She hugged him "I though you were dead..." She said, crying again.
[Yupperoo] |
[[I figured it out!!! *dances* woohoo! I had help though]]
Vincent was a bit shocked by how she was acting and wasn't sure what to do at first. He hugged her back though glad that she was okay. He found he was crying too and he couldn't stop. "She's dead," he finally mustered. |
"I know..." She said softly "Im so sorry..." She said quieter.
Vincent nodded slightly and tried to stop crying. It was his last living relative and she'd been murdered. "Let's go back before the sun come sup," he said gently.
She nodded and started walking back slowly the way she'd come.
Vincent started singing softly after a while. "Lay down, your sweet and weary head..."
She looked at him when he started singing, resulting in her tripping. "UMPH!" She exclaimed as she fell.
Vincent jumped when she fell and raced to her side. "Are you okay?" he asked frantically. "Did you get hurt at all?"
She laughed "I'm fine. I'd figure you of all people would know that by now when I trip I don't get hurt..." She stood up and walked more cautiously now.
Vincent relaxed slightly and smiled. He nodded and started walking besides her. "You should know by now that I'll always ask," he said.
She laughed "Well, I should." She said jokingly.
Vincent smiled slightly as he started singing again though it was soft. He was watching her this time to make sure she didn't fall.
She kept her eyes on her feet even though she didn't want to, but she didn't want to trip anymore.
Vincent noticed she didn't want to look at her feet so he stopped singing so he wouldn't distract her. The house was very close now and he wanted to sit down so he could actually think about what happened. He could hear a few of trees mourning and it made him shiver.
The sky grew dark and within a few seconds it was raining. She looked up and walked gracefully, for once. "The skies themselves weep for your loss..." She whispered, mainly to herself.
Vincent went closer to her as he felt something brush his neck. "I'm creeped out by being outside," he said bluntly.
She looked at him and frowned. "It's fine...I don't know what was in there but it's not coming out to mingle anymore." She said, a little angry at the evil. "It seems as if...it was...evil personofied...I don't know why it would be here but I know it's not leaving without a fight." She seemed dazed and quiet as they made their way back to the house. She opened the door and walked up to her room without another word or sound. When she passed Benjamen she dropped a rock into his hands. He gasped and dropped it then ran after her screaming.
Vincent nodded slightly and when they go inside he went straight to his room and laid down. He was a bit stressed and exhausted at the moment and wanted to sleep.
Benjamen grabbed Risa's wrist and she screamed. He covered her mouth. She bit him but he didn't so much as flinch. Their eyes were filled with terror. "You're not..." He said, unable to finish. He let go of her mouth. She was silent. She started listening to the whispering. Kill yoursssself!DO IT NOW! It said in a snake like voice. She gaped and he growled. NOW! NOW! NOW! NOW! KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL! DEATH! DEATH! DEATH! DEATH! The voice chanted. Her eyes filled with tears. Benjamen growled again. "YOU DON'T DO ANYTHING IT SAYS! NEVER AGAIN! REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME!" He yelled at her, trying to make her come back. He kept his fist around her wrist and hit the wall with his other fist. "You're not...gone..." He said, staring to cry. YOU CAN BRREAK FREE OF THISS weakling...you've done it before...remember...remember...remember The voice urged her on. She was loosing her mind. "You... you can't do this...NEVER!" He screamed, letting go of her wrist and grabbing hold of her cheeks. Her tears soaked his hands as she placed hers over his. "No brother...never...never again will I...let him get to me...never will my darkness be revealed again..." She said simply. KILL KILL NOOOoooooooo...... The voice echoed as it slowly faded.
Vincent came out when he heard her scream. He looked extremely confused by Risa's words. The curtains on the opposite end were open and he didn't notice it. "What's going on?" he asked both Risa and Benjamin.
Benjamen looked to Vincent but Risa kept her eyes on Benjamen. His eyes widened in terror when Vincent asked what was going on. "I-I..W-we...th-the..." He stuttered, looking back to Risa for help. Her jaw and hands trembled as she spoke but she kept a steady voice. "The voice." Was all she said, releasing her grip on Benjamen's hands her shoulders hung lazily. She still seemed to be in her daze but not as bad. Benjamen let go of her face and closed his eyes, nodding a little. Then he looked up to Vincent again. "It would be better if you remained oblivious to this. For all of us." His eyes were serious then he took a step to the door. Risa watched them. Her eye twitched when he took a step towards the door, and towards Vincent. Her breathing hurried and her eyes were filled with terror. "No..." She whispered to Benjamen, taking a tiny step and reaching out, despite the face that she couldn't reach him. He nodded. "I think you need to get going now, Vincent." He said, then placed a hand on his shoulder. "Just forget this." He said quietly but firmly. "It's what's best for all of us." Risa added, dismissing Benjamen. He walked swiftly out without another word and into his new room.
Vincent looked a bit shocked and upset at the same time. He nodded slightly and gave Risa a pitiful expression. He walked down the stairs then and towards the out doors ignoring the fact that the sun was on the edge of the horizon. He walked out nonetheless with the same things he had before which was nothing. Walking through the forest now seemed dismal without Risa and without his aunt.
