Vincent didn't hear her at first but then he got confused for a moment. He walked downstairs and opened the front door. He laughed slightly upon seeing her. "You know you didn't have to do that," he said. "I would have gone with you."

She grinned "Thou shan't put the duty upon another of the doing of something that person doe snot want to do." She said and laughed handing him a bag and walking in. She set down the other bag and took a deep breath "I didn't think I was going to make it out of that horrible clothes store alive..." She said mockingly traumatized. "Do you want these in your room or do you want them washed first?" She asked, walking into the kitchen and coming back out with an apple.

Vincent shrugged slightly. "Don't think it really matters," he said bluntly.

She grinned "Good, I probably wouldn't have washed them anyway," She said with a laugh, walking up to his room and setting the beg by the foot of his bed then walking back down. "Want me to get that one?" She asked in her normal, quiet voice.

"What one?" vincent asked a bit confused when she came back down.
|
She laughed a little, "The bag, silly!" She said with a grin "Want me to take it to your room?" Then she the her apple core out the window and one of the horses approached. It was Cloud. She grinned "Well hi, there, Cloud!" She said, reaching out the window and petting him on the nose.

"Oh sure," Vincent said still looking a bit confused. He glanced at the horse and smiled slightly. He loved animals really but he was just too confused at the moment.

She smiled and stopped petting Cloud, making him walk away, and took the bag out of his hand. Once she brought it up and set it down next to the other one, she went back down and sighed "It might be a while before he gets home, probably all night..." She said sadly, sitting down on the couch.

Vincent nodded slightly and took a seat next to her. He felt tired now for some reason and he couldn't say why.

She heard a loud boom rumbling in the distant clouds and her eyes widened with fear. She pulled her knees up and wrapped her arms around them, resting her head on her knees and closing her eyes.

Vincent watched her and wrapped an arm around her gently. He hated storms though they didn't frighten him in the least bit. "Tell me something," he said not wanting to anger her. "Anything."

She said something absentmindedly , the first thing on her mind "Thunder is the personification of anger, when the word is too full it puts it in the water, then it goes with it into the clouds and rains down, punishing us for our own sins..." She said quietly, not thinking about it, just letting the words fall out of her mouth "That's why I hate it..." She concluded, quieter.

Vincent looked at her, studying her expressions. He was wary of her temper now, almost frightened that he might be forced to leave. "Tell me something else. What is your favourite thing to do in the whole world? What do you love the most?"

She thought more about this "Walking in the woods...Nature is the one thing I could never live without, not just because plants provide air and bug give the ground air for the plants to grow, but because of the dark sunset, and the mountains looming over the horizon, cloudy and mysterious, the way the snow highlights the bare and lonely branches in winter, and the way the trees dance in the wind, or...or how the breeze dances through your hair and hugs you coldly, sending that shiver of excitement up your spine..." She said quietly, her eyes lighting up as she continued and her voice getting more excited and joyful, then she looked back at Vincent sheepishly "But..you know..nature can be bad too..like...this..." She finished glumly.

Vincent paused for a moment. "I was told that lightning helps the trees grow," he said. "It was something to do with a chemical but I didn't look into it because I couldn't. You're safe in here though." His words were gentle. "Beside you're strong."

She smiled a little and looked at him again "Strength is but the calling upon us of our innermost and buried needs, and is nevermore a trait that we choose to carry with us always." She had sad eyes, and for the first time in her life, she knew why she had to kill her parents. She knew why she had tried to kill her brother. She knew why she was evil. She knew why she had darkness. Hey eyes were huge and she took a long breath in, then whispered one simple letter, "L..." She thought to herself One simple letter...holding so many clues...one simple letter telling me everything I ever wished to know and more...the glories and the horrors all mix in this calamity...of my internal insanity...

Vincent looked very confused now as her expression changed. He didn't say anything though to avoid offending her. He felt a shiver run through his spine and he suppressed the urge to get away from her as quickly as possible.

She looked at him and opened her mouth, but then closed it. She tried to find the right words to say, but her mind was blank. She just stared at him with almost apologizing eyes.

Vincent was quiet still as he watched trying to get the information out of her just by being quiet.
|
She smiled a little "Well then..." She said, a little loud for her, "I'm going to take a shower before he gets home..." She said in a voice closer to her normal softer one, standing up and heading upstairs to her room.

"All right," Vincent said. He curled up on the couch after she left and decidedly fell asleep to nap for a while.

She came out of her room after her shower not bothering to dry her hair. She sat down on the armchair next to the couch with her hair dripping down her back and onto the chair, not minding it any attention and reading while she waited for Vincent to wake up.

Vincent twitched slightly and eventually woke up. He looked groggy still and when he saw her he smiled slightly. "Hey," he said still sounding tired.

She smiled and lowered her book "Hi, sleepy!" She said with a laugh, bookmarking her page and putting the book away. She sat there in silence for a moment before humming a song quietly to herself.

"God there you go making me even more tired," he said. He was sitting up now rubbing his eyes to wake up.
