She shook her head "Never..." She felt her hands shaking and he knees give out. She didn't care she was falling, all she felt was cold, cold and empty and lost. She closed her eyes and felt a peace. She liked it there, on the edge of insanity, looking over the deep cliff of nonsense. She smiled "Benjamen," She said, then jumped off the edge. She got the sensation of falling and didn't try to stop it, she just closed her eyes and waited for the end.

Vincent caught her with a perplexed expression. He looked at Benjamin with a confused expression. he had no idea what was happening and it was bothering him now. As he carried her up to the bedroom though he was careful.

She came to while Vincent was carrying her and rolled out of his arms, alarmed. She sat up and looked at him questioningly and asked slowly "Why were you carrying me...?" Her eyes weren't calm and laughing like they always were, they were alert and jumpy now. Her side hurt from falling but she ignored it, determined to get an answer before anything else.

"You passed out," he said after a moment. He was a bit bewildered that she'd actually rolled out of his arms. That was nearly impossible when someone was carrying a person. "Why did you just jump out of my arms like that? You could've gotten hurt."

She Calmed down a little "Oh...again..." She sighed, then laughed "I don't get hurt from a little fall," She said, not to be rude but to show she was tougher than she usually showed. "I'll be fine in an hour." She said, getting up and walking slowly downstairs.

Vincent just looked frustrated and went to his room. He hated it when people were like that, being so blatant and not even allowing him to show an ounce of care without being contradicted. He sat down after a moment and felt a bit dizzy himself/

She felt like Vincent was mad but tried to ignore the sinking feeling in her stomach. When she came downstairs Benjamen ran to her. "Are you ok?!" He asked in his usual worried-yet-blank voice. She grinned "I am now!" And hugged him, even though she knew he hated her for it. He weakly patted her back and she grinned "YOU'RE BACK!" Then she hugged him again.

Vincent had found his solace for the time being. He decided that he would never go out. The door was shut and he was staring at the wall at this point.

After a few hours of silence and no Vincent, Risa got worried and walked swiftly up the stairs and to the master bedroom. She softly knocked on the door and put one side of her face on the door "Vincent?" She asked in a soft voice "Are you angry?" She added worriedly after a minuet or two, hoping he would answer her rather then just stare at her through the door in silence.

Vincent didn't even glance at the door but rather considered actually answering for a brief moment. He was quiet for the most part before he lifted his head slightly. "Come in," he said after a moment.

She was a bit shocked but quietly clicked open the door and walked in softly, sitting down next to him on the fluffy bed. "Whats wrong? You've been in here for hours! Even Benjamen is worried..." She was troubled and showed it weakly on her face and in her body language, she kept biting her lip or nails and avoiding eye contact with him.

"I think hours is a bit of an overstatement," he snapped lightly. He didn't feel like being questioned about his opinions at the moment. He wouldn't tell her that he was interested again since she probably held no interest since his horse killed that guy. He was thinking it at the time and he wouldn't admit that either.

She pointed to the small clock hanging on the wall and sighed "I beg to differ," She started "You have been in here for four hours." She stated quietly, hoping he wouldn't flare at her for contradicting him again. She was very jumpy tonight and was flinching at the constant sounds of the forest and life. She felt like screaming, but felt like holding her tongue at the same time, and she didn't know what to do, so she kept silent and waited for his answer.

There was a loud caw outside and a black bird landed on the window sill. She was interested and watching what was happening at the present moment. "Well," he said looking at the bird. "I only saw a few. A few is designated as exactly three hours... now is four equal to the number three?"

She sighed "Vincent, it's not about how long its been. Don't change the subject." She said coldly, getting annoyed by his avoidance.

"I try to act nice but you keep making it seem like everything I do to be nice is just pointless because you devoid it of it's meaning," he said finally. "What am I supposed to do when you fall? Say oh look she fell and then walk away? I know you're tough and I got that point when I met you but can you at least let me be chivalrous once and a while."
After he got that out he stared at the opposite wall again, refusing to look at her. He wanted to kill something at the present moment but he couldn't because this house like a death trap for werewolves. If any of them took step close to the house they'd immediately be seduced by the traps and driven to enter the forest and therefore forced into madness. |
She pulled up her legs and wrapped her arms around them, resting her chin lightly on her knees. "I'm sorry...no one really ever showed any care when I was growing up...I'm just not used to it...I guess I've just become jaded." She closed her eyes for a moment, the looked over at him.

"Well then next time I get all polite then just leave me," he snapped. He was still a bit tense at the moment but he knew it wouldn't happen again, but he could easily fake it if he got sick of her. He didn't get sick of her easily though and just the way she treated him was beginning to make him sick. He sat down finally and buried his face in his arms.

She took a deep, shaky breath "I'm sorry. I'll try to stop. I really will. I promise." She reluctantly hugged him briefly then stood up "Do you want me to go?" She asked, not really expecting an answer, but still asking to be safe. [Ah sorry so short I'm out of it...again -_-]

"No," he said with a sigh. He motioned for her to sit next to him. He'd felt comforted by the hug and his nerves had lessened quite a bit at this point. He'd been looking for something and now he'd realized what it was, companionship, of course that companionship had to be a human to a certain extent.

She nodded a little and sat back down, looking at him iwth big puppy eyes "I'm sorry Vincent..." She repeated again. Benjamen was looking for them and finally come to the door. She looked at him for a moment before he said anything "Risa. Hall. Now." He said in a scolding tone, shooting Vincent a quick glare then returned his burning eyes to Risa. She glared right back in silence "I will do what I want!" She shot back in with a cold glare. "Risa...." Benjamen began angrily, almost snarling. She kept her glare unchanged until he broke the silence "It's important!" She half sighed half growled through clenched teeth and stood abruptly, turning back to Vincent for a quick minuet "I'm sorry, I'll be back shortly." She said, rolling her eyes at her brother and turning back around to face him with a glare. Finally he moved out of the doorway and she walked out briskly, closing the door with a quiet click behind her. Benjamen sighed angrily at her "Why was the door closed?!" He demanded in a harsh whisper. She glared at him "Because Vincent didn't want you to be an idiot and intervene. We were just talking, and what do you even care?!" She shot back in a harsh, loud voice. Benjamen was speechless, with wide, shocked eyes and disbelieving, raised eyebrows he looked at her in shock, then she turned on her heels and went back in Vincent's room. "Sorry...He was being an idiot again. But he'll leave me...or rather you alone now." She said with a smile.

"He hates me doesn't he?" Vincent asked, unaware of the idea of a caring brother. He was unsure of himself at the moment because ti seemed like half the house hated him. There was a chirp outside as the bird that had been watching him flew away. He hated birds sometimes because they always seemed to interrupt his thoughts. Now that he had that 'ability' to communicate with nature they seemed to always want to have a say in what was going on inside his head.

She thought for a moment, wondering the same question to herself, and finally come to a conclusion "He hated my parents for making me fight. He hated my peers for calling me daddies little girl. He hated my horse for kicking me off. He hates everyone and thing that hurts me, and he's stupid, so he has the idea you hurt me stuck in his thick skull, don't let him get to you. He's just a tag-a-long." She said bluntly and cruelly, not caring if he heard her or not. She ignored the bird as if it were part of the scenery. She was used to animals following Vincent around by now, it had seemed to be happening increasingly lately, but she still only vaguely thought about it when her mind was void and searching for a thought to ponder.

There was a howl of a wolf in the distance and when his thoughts had changed it was silenced. He hated his motions being openly displayed by the animals at time. He was frustrated for the most part that he'd been judged without doing anything. "What does he think I've done?" Vincent asked. "Maybe I can explain to him that I didn't do anything."

Her eyes widened and she shook her head frantically "Maybe it would be a better idea if I did, he's not very friendly to people who he thinks have hurt me. Trust me, it would be bad. But he will leave me alone. So I will. I think he thinks I cry too much around you for some stupid reason, even though he hasn't seen me in ages. He just needs to learn more or step down." She said harshly, angry with her brother now that she thought about it.
