My Eyes are Bleeding D:
Okay, so, it's really not that late, but of course, the only cartoons that are on righ tnow are really bad. I hate to say it, and I hope I'm not attacked by millions of fans, but I'm being forced to watch DBZ. I'm sitting here, nitpicking all the reasons why I hate this show with a passion. 1. It takes them about 12903412984 MILLION episodes just to kill one bad guy. I've been watching the show for about 20 minutes, and all Cell has done is kick Kryllin. (Cryllin? Krillyn? I DON'T KNOW D: ) 2. The art is horrible. They're all... muscley and gross D: Is that even humanly possible? AND WHY DOES THEIR HAIR GET BIGGER EACH TIME YHEY POWER UP?! 3. Why are there odd non-human creatures that look slightly human there? What time period does this show take place in, I don't get it? D: 4. How can they get their hair to do that? I want that kind of volume! O: Discuss: Bad cartoons/books/TV shows/ etc. Hair products :D (Yeah, I'm bored xD Hope this is in the right forum <3) |
*Brandishes a Syringe filled with DBZ*
|
Hahahaha, this just made me laugh so hard! I used to talk to my friends about DBZ, because I mean, seriously. They take an entire episode for a guy to charge up his attack HALF WAY. Then it takes like 5 episodes for him TO ACTUALLY USE IT! By the time it'd get to the part where something happens, the network I watched it on would reloop the episodes back to the beginning so I never actually got to watch an entire storyline.
So, long story short, I feel your pain. *hugs* xD |
Dragon Ball Z? My sister watchs Dragon Ball, and it takes, like, 10 episodes for just one fight! I hate how they're drawn, too.
It was ok for me the first few episodes, when Goku meets Bulma, but then they start all the fighting and the passive frankenstein guy comes, and it just ruins it. The hair is just gravity-defying. XP |
Gah, I used to get mad watching that show too. It'd be on right before my anime came on, and I'd hate it. And the Naruto dubs that always come on. >__< |
I was just about to start ranting about the Naru dubs!!! D: Neji sounds like an old, pedophile-man, and Gaara sounds... Yucky D: He's the youngest out of all of the,, for Pete's Sake! Why does he sound so OLD!!! >< |
Haha. xD I don't even remember how Neji and Gaara sound. I can only remember Naruto's whiney, grating voice. D: |
BELIEVE IT!! -dies- Awh man... I'm better now though. Boon Docks is on x3 the show is great. The art is great, the script is damn funny, and it's overall just amazing. It's like nothing I've ever seen before. Very original <3 |
You're lucky you're not in the anime forum... or you might get flamed. >.<
I think when DBZ first came out, the art was considered pretty good. It's the same art as Dragon Quest. I never got to watch it when it was still really popular. (Even though I was really young) Then I saw it once on a Spanish channel... that's it. So, except for parodies (which all involve the hair and bursting shirt) I don't know much about Dragonball Z. I'd love to watch at least one episode though, since there seems to be a lot of fans. (I'm not going on YouTube with a slow dial up connection for a show I hear so many "takes forever for a fight!" comments on) @'clockwork - ACK! I HATE the Naruto english dub too! |
I can't stand the naruto dubs. Naruto and Sakura's voices drive me insane.
|
I think I almost died when I watched Identity.
Seriously,that movie was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. D: Boondocks=<333 |

I've never seen that show. :0 |
I used to love DBZ. The last time I watched it was the Frieza Era though D:
|
@Clock: BLASPHEMY!!! O:!!! I love Boon Docks with a passion. It's a good show, a bit too much cursing and that, but it's all bleeped out. The characters aren't your typical kind... So, I think it's good ^^ |
Aww, but I hate swearing. :0 I may watch it though. |
I'm not a big fan pf swearing on TV, but it's still a good show x3 the art is rather original, somewhere between American and Anime. |
I don't watch that much TV, and fortunately I have not seen any DBZ. The pictures from random places are scary enough. . .
|
hahahaha.
i used to love DBZ when i was younger. like, ten or eleven. i wouldn't even take my eyes off the tv while it was on. eventually, i'd notice that all i could see was the screen, and everything around it had just gotten dark, from staring so long. O_O now i look back, and wonder how the hell i liked that show. D: |
bleh. i really hate that show hehe.
|
Haha...I never could get into DBZ. So freaking melodramatic...and stupid. XD
As for one for me...Naruto. I like the manga...but the anime, I dropped quite some time ago, just because it really grates on my last nerve. I mean...it pretty much takes five episodes for someone to take a single step, and the animation is TERRIBLE. A few fight scenes have been nothing but looping of the same animation sequence and moving it to different places. ARGH. D< And don't even get me started on the dub. I'm glad they didn't cut all the good parts out...but the voices make me want to punch babies. :x So yeah...that's mine right there. XD I stick to the manga now...the anime was pretty "kiddied down," anyway. |
I used to love Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z SO much xD then I got bored of it when the episodes started to noticeably drag on forever :'D
My favourite Characters were Piccollo and Android 17, ha ha. |
I"m almost afraid to venture into this topic because of so much hate for one of my favorite animes. I love DBZ, yes the hair defies any laws of gravity, and the stories may drag on, but come on...who cannot love this man?
Well, I would show you the picture I was thinking of, but I cannot find it. :x |
I don't watch DBZ.
Seriously I was a big fan of Sailor Moon when I was younger but didn't actually get the plot most of the time. If I want to be confused by a weird plot I watch arthouse movies, B sci-fi movies from the 80's and those weird movies that are on free-to-air television really late at night. I have tried getting to anime but the only stuff I have access to is really weird, poorly dubbed verions of them. |
I loved Dragon Ball Z... ):
But yeah, it takes FOR-EH-VURR to kill a bad guy! It's like, *main characters power up* *bad guy talks a lot* *cut scene to other character who is safe and away from fight* *flashback scene* *back to the bad guy talking a lot* *back to powering up* And then FINALLY, you hear those dreaded words... "Will ______ defeat ______ ? Find out on the next Dragon Ball Z!" And you're sitting there like, "OMGWTFJUSTHAPPENED!!" D; But yeah.. I guess that's what keeps the audience wanting more. Ever hear that joke, "How many DBZ characters does it take to screw in a light bulb?" "Just one, but it would take about 3 episodes." |
Edit.
