I'm here to ask for a little help with my artwork.

I'm having trouble with getting my figures to stand convincingly in the setting. Any tips?

Maybe if her shadow were darker behind her? Also maybe if the wooden boards had a little more defination and detail, that's all I can really think of.
She sort of connects with her background but there is a kind of 'floated' feel about her also
I should also mention that her two arms look a lil off compared with each other ^_^;

I did try to darken the shadow. I guess I didn't darken it enough. Didn't think of the wooden boards thing~ I shall try it out!

Thanks~ Took me ages to develop that style of colouring. Blending takes ages!
Ooh so you mean make a bigger contrast. I guess I could try adding more highlights. Thanks for the ideas~

I think I figured out the main problem. The perspective of the chibi isn't the same as the background! That's why they wont match up! I just randomly drew in the background and didn't think about the perspective!
