Your favorite home entertainment apart from online stuff
When Im home alone, that is most days because my husband works all day and I work only half day, I spend a lot of time in here and other sites daily and I multitask a lot >.< but If I have the chance I have other favorite entertainments to do depending on the day.
Examples: If it rains or there is a storm, there is nothing like lying on the bed with a book and a cover, and stroke my cat that for sure will come around looking for my hands to pet her. n_n Then if I am really bored I like watching stupid programs on tv like "The maury show or Christina's show" (sorry if you like it no offense) and I laugh a lot >.< I also love playing videogames specially the sims and Zelda, I wish i had a console (I am planning to buy a wii but dont have the money yet) I have played the sims for 7 years now (believe it!) I love reading magazines of all kinds. I love watching horror movies !!1 that really makes me happy! Or maybe a thriller or suspendse , even drama if it is good. I also like preparing things for my work in advance (Im a teacher) I also like listening to music or cleaning a bit (ok maybe not cleaning but making order in the library or bedroom or wardrobes etc) I also study I am finishing my second carrer so that kept me busy for a while and I think I might keep studying after that =) So what do you do when you are alone? apart from being on an avie site? which are your favorite pastimes? Do you find these pastimes so entertaining that sometimes forget some duties you had to do? heheh >.< |
My mom doesn't let me near the TV when there's a heavy storm in fear of "electrocution" <___<
But when I'm home you can count on me to be playing video games. Don't expect me to do something productive! :P but on occasion I'd just sit in my room and listen to CD's, then space out. xDD |
Put on some music and dancing around and singing along badly to it. :3 I suspose that would count even though thr music is on my computer. Oh, and I love just sitting around drawing.
Love video games too...just too little time to play, even when its storming and there's nothing to do. ^^; Funny how it works out that way. Hehe. |
Well I guess I would say I love watching T.V. and the latest movies. You know that deal at McDonalds? The a dollar a day for a movie? Well I go pretty much every day and get a new movie. So I watch like four movies a day if I'm not online.
>.< I know it's bad cause it's just killing my brain. Or if I'm watching T.V. I like looking for little movies to watch on T.V. If I can't watch the movies I listen to music. I'll be all along in my room head banging to music. LOLOLOL. If not I'll listen to Techno and just dance around like I'm all crazy. It's a crazy thing to watch. hahaha, which nobody ever does. |
@ Secret: Thats the best way to randomly dance though...all secretly and crazy in your room where no one can see you. Muwah! :D

If there's a good light show going outside (thunderstorm), I'll either sit on the porch and watch, or open both of the windows while playing a video game. I only get like 4 channels so there's hardly ever anything on TV. I usually catch all the small claims court shows, those keep me entertained if I'm in no mood for nothing else. I'll draw or doodle. Watch a funny movie (( Mostly always Super Troopers xD <3 )) My favorite pastimes though, is watching the storm go by. It relaxes me. I'll have two sinks full of dishes (( WHICH I HATE! )) and brush them off until the next day or until the storm clears. =) |

That's the only way I dance. Well if my best friends want me to go out dancing with them I don't really like to, but it's fun cause I'm a fatty, and well ever since I started dancing I've been loosing weight like crazy. It probably helps that I'm not eating as much as I used to. I do eat just like...before I used to eat like, three times a day, but a lot. Now I eat like six times a day, but smaller amounts. Ya know? Off topic: OMG, I'm watching babe in the city 2 and I just like hella started crying cause the pig like saves the goldfish. Not sure why that made me cry though. I swear I thought the fishy was going to die. >.< |
I love watching tv and specially movies or Law and Order , I sing a lot and dance when no one is around, also do some artcrafts or phone my friends cause Im bored or go shopping (that is not inside the house i know) besically mom and I love movies <3

I love to watch horror movies as well (zombie movies are my fave)
I also like to roller skate (i am a roller derby girl) I like to play with my dog <3 and i like to clean a lot, i am a big neat freak. |

I wonder if the neighbors are found of screaming emo kids playing guitar and shooting out "THIS LIFE SUCKS" lyrics? The police haven't come yet. O8 Also,I do read. And play Rollercoaster tycoon. Whilst the music is off. |
Hmm, well I like to read manga, play video games. Most of the time I'm doing homework though. :] I also like to go for walks if it's nice outside. |

I'll read depending on what's around, I don't really like to reread books so I rarely do unless I recently went to the library or something. |
It all depends on why I'm at home and bored.
If it's because I'm sick, like I am now...I do a lot of stupid things that I'd NEVER do otherwise. I caught myself singing the freaking FUN SONG today. Yes, the one from Spongebutt. *HATES that show* XD ...and look up there! I did it again -- I said "Spongebutt!" XDD I'm too easily amused when I'm sick. ^^;; Sick or not, I always draw. I's fun for me. WHAT I draw is a bit different when I'm sick, but..hey. XD I also have movies that I love to watch. There are a few that I just NEVER get tired of. EVER. I have to limit myself with some, though...I was a mess for a WEEK after I watched Moon Child 4 times in one day. XD;;; That last fight scene...it kills me. ;-; Same goes for anime. There are some titles that I cold spend ALL DAY watching. I mean...literally, ALL DAY. XD And I've done it, too. If I have my computer, but I'm not online, I sometimes make AMVs. Frustrating (because I use Windows Movie Maker)...but VERY fun. :3 I also play StepMania if my computer works but my internet doesn't. I have one of those USB DDR pads...so that's fun. Oddly enough, I've had it since May...and I STILL suck! XD And sometimes I read. There are just so few books I can GET around here that interest me...I want The Alchemyst. D: And, most of my other reading material is online. When I DO read articles online...they're usually on alchemy, prosthetics (...that sounded odd so close together...has little to nothing to do with what you might be thinking, for the record), nanotechnology, or language learning. |

Is deffinately my playstation two! I absolutely love dance dance revolution! (and it's a good workout, lawl!) I have the supernova edition, and that crappy old, orange one (whatever it's called xD ) I also LOVE playing bully and okami! Even though they've been out for a while, they're still very fun! |
My house is creepy when no one else is around.
Even during the day. I like to turn my music up loudly, and jump on my bed. I'm 19....and I still jump on my bed. XD Or I'll read or take a nap. Anything that isn't chores really. Though I do have a tendency to clean out the fridge...or no one else will! |

television definitely. but the computer is always a great source for information and entertainment, music is always pleasant to listen to, and nothing compares to getting involved in a good book. but often times when it comes to entertainment, my first choice is the tv.

Playing video games, watching tv/movies, drawing, and listening to music (usually when drawing) are what I usually do when I'm at home, other then going online.

if I'm at home and not online (which I don't do as often as I used to) I study, or read. Being an English minor that is usually the same thing ^-^ Or I watch tv, I love the comedy channel and animal planet. And if it's nice out I take to dog to the off leash park. I also use to make lesson plans last semester when I was taking my first Ed course

I like the radio because I love rocking out to rock songs and dancing out to techno music or raving to techno! haha
