Holiday events/items?

Well the holidays are approaching and I know most people are looking forward to this time of year. Being half Jewish and half Catholic I get to celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas and I know that Christmas in today's society is a lot bigger, so I'm sure that the Menewsha team probably has something lined up for it.

With the intrests of everyone I was wondering if it would be possible to have some sort of Hanukkah event or items or something for the 8 days that it is celebrated :D.

Also, it would be nice I bet for those that celebrate it that a Kwanzaa event or items as well would be great for the holiday spirit.

Or in an effort to not separate the holidays, I would think that there could be an entire event devoted to all the holidays within this season. However, I know that there might be some feelings that people might have that they would not want their holiday to be generalized with another. I'm just putting out all these suggestions to be respectful to everyone's feelings.

In any case, I think that an addition to anyting of this sort would definately add to the holiday cheer aroung the community =D

This particular subject was something that has been brought up many times in the staff forum while planning the next event. I personally wanted to be sure that this event included everyone, and not just those who celebrate Christmas, as we have a very multi-cultural community.

Rest assured that we have taken more denominations into account than just Christians, and you should see things for several holidays. :D

What days does Hanukkah run through this year by the way?

Ooh cool I'll be looking forward to that all :]

Hanukkah is actually really early this year, it runs from the 5th of December to the 12th. Last year it was funny how it ran through Christmas cause my parents gave me all my presents at once @[email protected]

Not everything is religious. You'll just have to wait and see! XP

Thanks for the info on the Hanukkah dates tzubake. That's very helpful to know. :D

Haha, it's no problem. I'm glad that I could have helped. I'm looking forward to what this month has to offer.
