Ah. Key breaking is a common symptom of my lame Gaming skills.
Often my spacebar will break because I mash it thinking "WHY AM I NOT JUMPING" when the "e" button is to jump.

But that's just me.

This one time my caps lock button got stuck, so I had to hold shift while typing. Very embarrassing.

Hokuto 11-27-2007 10:53 PM

I've never broken any of my keys, but I did lose F7 once...I got the great idea to take all the keys off so I could clean the dust out... I was using a pen lid to get them off and BAM!!- F7 goes flying across the room. I looked for it for like, half an hour and gave up. I don't know how I eventually found it. XD

[L]ove[H]ate 11-27-2007 10:54 PM

That's sad! I never had a broken key on my computer. =]

Dyvn 11-27-2007 11:11 PM

My last keyboard was thrown away because of a missing key. I think it was either the comma or the period; I can't remember which. Those days are long behind me *dramatic swish of hair*.

` Plastic Rainbows 11-27-2007 11:13 PM

my friend's keyboard was really broken. o _ o;;
he only had about 10 keys working. it was SO hard to understand what he was saying.

Divine_lil_brat 11-27-2007 11:16 PM

None, thank god. I use to break the ones at my school all the time, just so I could get a new better key board XD I know horrible right? you should have seen the POS's they were trying to make us use. TT that was a crime.

Mousey 11-27-2007 11:19 PM

My space bar, right Shift key and Enter key are all really worn out. ;3; I've had this laptop for three years and from a combination of chatting and doing HTML code, I've completely worn out most of my keyboard.

nayru_moon 11-27-2007 11:22 PM

i broke some of the keys on our keyboard. and i completly destroyed our other by dumping soda on it. XD my dad was so mad at me!!!
~byez ~im nayru_moon on gaia online!!! (come visit my pro!)

Aurora 11-27-2007 11:36 PM

Oh, gosh, I hate it when that happens..o_e..

fuyumi_saito 11-27-2007 11:51 PM

You don't have two shift keys? Odd..Must be an old keyboard or something.

None of the keys on my keyboard are broken, but I wish the F11 one was. I sometimes accidently hit it, making the screen all weird. I hate it....

Deadly Mango Kitty 11-28-2007 04:33 AM

I try not to break any keys, but if I or someone else does, we have another keyborad in the garage somewhere.

Rainiy 11-28-2007 04:36 AM

Nothing wrong with my keyboard right now (though I have had to use a keyboard -- can't remember if it was my fault x3; -- where you could only press down one side of the space bar for it to work. x3; ) -- But my CELL PHONE is more or less dead xD;; It's probably because I text too much and this is my karma xD But sometimes you have to mash a number in seven or eight times before it actually gives you a letter xD;

JuliaV 11-28-2007 04:42 AM

None of my keys have came off, but my sister's = key came off and doesn't know how to put it back so she just presses the spring whenever she has to use it. XD
We call it the ghetto key! XDDD

Joshua 11-28-2007 04:42 AM

Eh, my space bar is broken i have no key in its place so what i have is a little stick in it so all I have to do is push down, but I'm used to it so its like nothing now, but I'm getting a complete new keyboard soon! :D

butterscotch 11-28-2007 05:51 AM

My ?/ key is about to go again. I dumped soda on my laptop awhile back and even though I've cleaned the keys 500 times that one still doesn't work properly. :( I fixed it once, but now it's starting to screw up again.

YumeNoGaara 11-28-2007 03:45 PM

The keyboard on the labtop I use at home is crap. Half the keys don't work so I'd be typing something and then look up and see that something that was supposed to look like this:
HelloGoodbye
looked like this:
HlloGooy
The letter "R" was't working and niether were half the vowels -_-" so my dad attatched a normal keybord to the labtop, which is actualy alot easier to use then the one that's attached to the labtop.

Atreyu 11-28-2007 03:48 PM

My keyboard at school is fine.
And my keyboard at home is fine.

I hope your keyboard doesn't mess up too bad. ;o

Maybe you should be more careful. :?

mystic kiwi 11-29-2007 02:15 AM

My old keyboard didn’t even work half the time so I would always use the on screen key board to talk to people with. It was so annoying because it was so slow to actually reply to something someone had said. I’ve also had times where my space bar, caps lock, shift, and most of my number keys were missing because my sister though it would be funny to take the keys off my keyboard.

Muggles Running Amok 11-29-2007 03:47 AM

A couple years ago, I was eating ice cream at the computer, and I guess I spilled some of the melted ice cream & caramel on the compy. It got my back space key. D: worst key to ruin. My dad ended up ordering me a new keyboard because I couldn't keep highlighting and typing over everything I needed to delete because it took so long! I gave my boyfriend my old keyboard- dunno why he wanted it.

My f8 key is gone, too. It happened when my cat was a kitten. He'd sit on the keyboard and just go to sleep while I was using the computer. I tried to pull him off gently one day, but he dug his claws into the keys that he could. (I'm on a laptop, so they're flattish, and the keys don't pop out like on desktop keyboards) So I pulled him off and f8 and some other keys I was able to retrieve went flying. F8 was the only one I couldn't find. & it's all Marlowe Rupert's fault. ha.

psyrien 11-29-2007 04:36 AM

The keys on my keyboard have never broken before. However, parts of the actual keyboard have, such as the things that make it stand up, the bottom part that holds the batteries, etc. But the keys themselves have been fine except that they get very dirty and sometimes sticky.

Rad Lionheart 11-29-2007 05:03 AM

Currently my spacebar is broken, it continues to get stuck...it makes me look retarded when I'm playing Counter Strike or Team Fortress. "Why is he jumping like that? is he trying to bunny hop? I don't get it."

Other than the spacebar my shift key on the left is kinda sticky and my S key has it's "S" worn off to just a dot, so it goes to show how I play my role in Counter Strike and Team Fortress, retreating. xD

It's time for a new keyboard I think, I'd like something that glows in the dark though, cause I tend to play in the dark and often keep my literacy when I'm typing even in the heat of battle, so I tend to make typos if I'm typing in the dark. xP

Sirec 11-29-2007 02:34 PM

On the old computer I used to have in my room (I wish I could have a computer in my room >.>), there were a few broken keys, like spacebar and "G", which worked only about 70% of the time. And I think the tilde key was completely missing, so if I wanted to use it, I had to poke it with a pen. xD
My newest keyboard at home seems to take a surprisingly good amount of abuse. I've had it for nearly three years and no broken keys yet. Although when you turn it upside down and shake it, candy falls out! 0.0

Elwing 11-29-2007 02:45 PM

I'm using a laptop... I can't realy re-place my keyboard
that much XD
Sometimes the G comes off o.o; that I suddenly have that
plastic thing flying around when I'm typing very wild.
Or that a cookie crumble is stuck under a key ^^; XD

aids 11-29-2007 09:26 PM

My caps lock key broke, once
with the caps stuck to
on.
