I would be extremly confuzzled as well I mean code red...makes it feel like you in the war zone. They seriously said code red? I think code red might be when theres an intruder or if theres a bomb. But I dont think they would lock you in your class room if it was a bomb. So yeah it was probabley an intruder.

I'v never had any thing like that ever happen at my school. I mean I live in a pretty well not exactly rural but not commonly known town. Nothing exciting(not to mention terrifing) things ever happen hear. It's always go to school, come home, do my homework, have my mom bug me about my homework then go on to Menewsha and just hang out...I wish I would get a code red. I mean something new in my life.Like a new friend or something like a great adventure, an alien sighting... did you know my grandpa saw an alien well a UFO but that doesn't matter. I want to travle the world, meet new people go on adventures with them, and maybe even save the world some day. My imaginaition is eager to do these things! But a code red would have me confuzzled!

Usuri 02-19-2008 07:30 PM

I remember doing code red a while ago. I was in Japanese and we just sat there in the dark for an hour eatting candy that someone brought.

xD

very fun. oh yea we also listened to music and used our cell phones to make weird flashes on the walls.

* U *

~PrincessSerenity~ 02-19-2008 07:36 PM

Sounds like a lock down. Maybe it was just a drill.

Though in elementary school we had an actual code red.

PayShi 02-19-2008 08:12 PM

I don't think we've had many Code Reds... I remember having Code Yellows and being stuck in the classroom. I can't remember what Code Yellow means... but anyway, I love being stuck in the classroom for some time because the teachers never make you do extra work. xD

I just know we've had drug busts... like this one time, they searched EVERYTHING. All the cars, all the classrooms... and brought in the K-9 to do it. It was this major drug bust. And the guy that drove the Skittles car got busted. Haha. Someone also got busted for drinking Vodka in a water bottle... and ever since they check our water bottles Ph level. Haha.

We had one when I was a junior in highschool. I was in the auditorium practicing with the drama and chorus classes for our musical - and because it's the auditorium there is no loud speaker because we don't want something going off in a performance. So it gets toward the end of the class period and my friend, who is in a wheel chair, needs to leave early and I go with her so we leave. Unbeknownst to us, a code red was called. So everyone is in lock down and we're walking around the school. lol
Bad thing was - there was a SWAT team on campus and dogs and police and admins walking around and NONE of them saw us. lol.
So we get to our next class and I look in the window and the other class is still in there so I'm like "hey - I guess we're early" so my friend and I wait outside.
Well - I guess someone saw me look in and told the teacher and the teacher opened the door and yanked me inside and screamed to my friend to get inside as well. We were completely bewildered. It was ridiculous.
So we sat in the class throughout that period and the next until it was finally cleared. My teacher was standing by the door with sissors in her hand in case someone tried to enter lol.
They wouldn't tell us ANYTHING. And sad thing was - people from OTHER schools were messaging us "OMG - I heard there is a rapist on your school!!!" and we're like "WTF - we haven't heard that"
So it turns out - there actually WAS a rapist who tried to get at a girl in the bathroom and that's why it was under lockdown. D: D: D:
Her story later got in some popular life magazine or something like that.

I don't think the schools here have the drills. If they do I'm never there. We've wondered what we would do if we had an intruder while I'm there working because the room we work in has to be locked from the outside with a key.

Azntwins 02-19-2008 09:48 PM

Something like that happened when a bank near my school was robbed or something. they trapped all the students in school didn't let them out. we were not even allowed to move around in the school because the teachers didn't want to deal with panicing students. -_-

MasterChiefrei 02-19-2008 09:53 PM

I dunno why schools give such obvious alerts when they can easily mask an emergency with a phrase or something. ><; I'd make it something ridiculous but stand out enough to where the staff knew what I was trying to say. We used to have drills for if an intruder came into the school but luckily we've only had two bomb threats a year. XD Oh wait, there was a fire incident too but other than that we were good. XD

Nana0o 02-19-2008 10:15 PM

We have code red a lot at school. -_-; Most of the time it is just a drill, but dummies like to keep drugs in there lockers.... dogs always find them....

Serene Lullaby 02-19-2008 10:37 PM

My small town far school had multiple code reds in my high school days and several of them involved people getting kicked out of the school.

DJ Mango 02-19-2008 11:54 PM

My school is gay.
They tell you to get under your desks during a code red.
Your supposed to be against the wall. :| The door has a little window on it..perfect for anyone to break and slip there hand through..or even a gun. Nice huh? :D To top it off, my desk is in the perfect position where the intruder can have a perfect head shot for me.

Trinitydoll 02-20-2008 12:02 AM

I remember when I was a secondary school we used t have certain months in which everyone seemed to call to school with a bomb warning hehehe till they realized it was the kids in the senior year when there was an exam so they made an assembly an dtalked to everyone and treatened them to search the number and all but the phone calls were made from public phone boots but well the calls stopped anyway, it was fun while it lasted we needed to get out of school and go home like 5 times XD

wispytearz 02-20-2008 12:10 AM

So I definitely was thinking Code Red Mountain Dew when I read the subject, which is my favorite soda ever and I can't have any cause I'm sick and the doctor said no caffeine T_T
But anyways, I wouldn't worry too much. If they locked you all in, then it's not a bomb threat or something like that and with the locks, you're probably safe from whatever it is, assuming it is anything at all. With the recent school shooting, it might just be a drill because people get paranoid after that sort of thing. Good luck anyways.

Wow, no caffene? Sometimes I think my friend Riss needs that.
Yeah, it happened a while ago, but nothing really happened (I'm still alive see?).

Uzura 02-20-2008 02:36 PM

We were under a lockdown in my college last week or maybe 2 weeks ago. One of the students was going around with a gun, threatening to shoot herself and maybe some other people. Yet absolutely no one in my class was scared. Actually, we asked if we could order a pizza because we were hungry xD
We just watched some movies and hung out. It really wasn't that bad.

Noodli 02-21-2008 11:00 PM

Strange...at my school the Principal or Vice Principal goes on the intercom and says "We Have a Red Door" And all the teachers lock thier doors and make us get away from the windows.During this time, we are not allowed outside of the classroom fro anything. Sometimes we have "Yellow Door" And the teacher still locks the door but continues teaching, although no one is permitted outside of the classroom. Finally, When the Principal or Vice Pricipal comes on Intercom and says "Green Door" we can resume class and go outside of the classroom again.

Fabby 02-21-2008 11:38 PM

We had a drill once, but that's all.
Why the hell are they announcing it over the loudspeaker anyway!? That's just screaming "RAPISTS, WE'RE IN HERE, COME GET US!"

And then they line us all up against the wall. It's practically target practice for anyone who has a gun and is outside. If you just look in the windows rather than in the halls, you can shoot up the entire school.
And nobody would ever remain that quiet and still anyway. If there's a guy with a gun, most of us are going to panic, try to jump out the windows, and probably get shot.
Me, I'm going to go hide in a closet or something and hope I don't get found. Why would they look there when there's a thousand kids running around like chickens with their heads cut off?

Karine 02-22-2008 02:43 AM

Over here, it's called a lock down, but man, there are so many problems with.
1: The Vice-Principal says that we are going into a lock down. Great, now the killer or whatever knows that people are in the office.
2: We have to go to a corner in a room where if you open the door, which have no locks, can see us clearly. Girls have to sit right next to the door. Thanks very much, we're gonna die first.
3: After we are "hiding", they cover the door window and place a sticker that says 'All Secure' -- aka, we are all in here.
4: Then, the OFFICE CALLS YOU. This is the WORST IDEA EVER. If the person is in the hallway, hear the ringing, hear someone get up and get it, hear the ringing stop, then they know for sure that we're in there.
5: Going back to the phone thing: What if the person went to the office first, and got control of the P.A systems and such? They could just call each of the class, and know they're in there, just to make sure.
6: They send a student out in the hall to check if anyone stupid enough to go to the bathroom. Hey, great, i wanna die first, because i was going to the bathroom. >___O
7: Nobody can sit still, so if there's ever a real lock down, i'm actually hiding, in the corner, where you can't see me immediately. Or even hide in the cupboards. Honestly, why should i die just because of my classmates think laughing really loud at nothing is funny?
Man, i could go on and on, but it's not worth it. @[email protected]

That's scary...but I think it's also good, because it shows that your school has great security system.

In my school we don't have that...Only some old security guards, so if an outsider come in, the max they can do is trying to drag him out. No notice for us of effort to move us to any more secure place.

My school is small, so most of the teachers can tell when there's someone who's not supposed to be there. Our security gaurd's just annoying...

Uzura 02-22-2008 06:46 PM

They were smart about lock downs in my high school. They never announced lock downs as "Lock down!" or "Code Red/Blue/Green/Whatever-other-color"

They would say a certain name like "Mr. So-and-so, please come to the office." but that would be the code for a lock down. I found it clever.
