"Hello, what would you like to order?"
Well, apparently, I get nervous when I am about to order food in person. I have no clue ever why, and I start even looking around a once as I order XD And in the end, they get my order wrong because I must've missed something! (Or maybe I was talking really softly since I was nervous...?)
- Do you get nervous when ordering for food? - What do you always do as your ordering? ( like moving around, touching your hair, things like that. XD) - Do you get mad when they get your order wrong? The problem I have with ordering food is when they put any kind of meat or meat flavoring on it. Meat makes me physically sick and any kind of animal fat does too so I don’t eat it. When I order I always so no meat too, which makes me even more mad when it comes back with meat on it. I’m pretty vocal about what I want and how I want it so I don’t have the problem with not being heard or anything like that.

This one time, I went through a drivethrough with my mom. I had to say my order three times, and I was actually yelling it. After they asked, "What?" for like the fifth time, my mom leaned over and shouted it for me. xD I've never been to a drivethrough since then... :[ |

I can never make up my mind, either, so that gets pretty ackward, but usually when I choose I speak really quietly and they're always like, " What?"

I always get nervous to order food. :(
I usually just stand there, look at the menu, and start smiling. *by this time I have already forgot what my order was. xD* When they get my order wrong, I usually do not mind unless my friends are around because they would just force me to say that my order was wrong. |
ummm Angel very rarely actually makes the order. Usually when she's dining out it's with her daddy or her bf and quite a lot of the time it's with her male friends. And the guys always order! It's like an unwritten rule or something. However I have had to order a few times. The outcome is always the same... The person taking the order spends 10 mins taking the order. We place it in like seconds, but... well we always get chatting. Ordering is very fun and I don't get nervous at all.
If we get a wrong order boy do we complain. We went somewhere for a meal and first they got my sisters order wrong, then forgot her order. We told them to take our food back until they had hers done. We would not be eating whilst a member of the party couldn't. Then some food was cold so we complained. Eventually a manager personally delivered the food and appologized, gave us free deserts and a voucher for our next meal. If you're paying, don't settle for less than your standards. |
I used to.It would annoy the hell out of my parents.But I'm pretty open to say what I want now.

I get a bit nervous when ordering food too, but I get pretty much the same thing every single time I go somewhere so at least I don't have to make up my mind on what I want. xD
If it's wrong though, I make someone else I'm with do something about it. Kind of sad, but taking it back up there is too scary for me. |
I can't stand ordering my own food.
Most of the time, the fast food cashier manages to mess it up, no matter how loud I say my order or how clear I say it. I don't know if its cause they're used to dealing with people with thicker accents than mine (I'm in Georgia) or what. Its a pain. If I could I'd jump over the counter, go into the kitchen and make the damn food myself x_x Waiters on the other hand rarely make mistakes with my orders :O |
Idk why, but I get nervous, too. I guess it's just shyness? I have no ideeaa. & I get mad when people get my orders wrong, but I don't really say anything unless it's a major mistake, like giving me a sammich when I asked for a baked potatoe or something like that. |
I don't get nervous when I'm ordering food unless the person taking my order is intimidating. However, I do get nervous at my job when I'm taking the orders. I'm afraid I'm going to mess up their order and they'll start yelling at me, while I can't do anything but just hang my head and apologize for lowly employees like me have no power to do anything.
Because of that, I don't really get too mad when people mess up my order now. I know how it feels to be on the other end. It sucks because you really can't do anything. The only time I get annoyed is when they put peanuts in something that I requested to NOT have peanuts because I'm allergic. They put peanuts in something once and I ended up in the ER. It was very unpleasant. I wouldn't want to repeat the experience. However, I ended up not yelling at the restaurant because I was rather wiped out after the whole ER experience and whatnot. We just never order from that place again. |

Yes...I say my order very quietly, and then the person I'm with(usually my mom) repeats it for me XD lol, it's so embarressing. What do you always do as your ordering? I stare down at the table and look at the silverware...That's about it. Do you get mad when they get your order wrong? No, I just bear it. It's no big deal. Though I wanted blueberry topping at IHOP and they wouldn't let me get the crepe with it -_-...Hmph... |
I used to make my parents or my sister order the food for me because I was too shy to do it myself. Though now I am not that much, so I do it for myself. Only my mom orders for me when we eat at a restaurant or a place where we sit down, look at a menu, and someone takes our order.

I hardly ever order for myself. I usually tell my bf or my mom my order and they do it.
However there is a place here that you get seated and once your ready to order there is a phone hooked to the wall or if a middle table its in the middle of the table. You pick it up and it will show what table and each person can place there order. I like that better for there not there watching me and all that lol |
I get a bit nervous too,
people always muck up my order especially when I am ordering pizza coz I am making it more complicated for them when I do a half/half pizza but I think if people listened and wrote things down properly then they shouldn't have too much of a problem should they? I mean how hard is taking orders? I used to be a waitress and a damn good waitress I thought. I listened and never got their orders wrong and I got some good tips coz of good service |
I want to order!
I need a double cheese burger and hold the letuce, dont be front'in son no seeds on the bun we be up in this drive thru order for two I got a craving for a number nine like my shoe we need some chicken up in here, in this dizzle, for rizzle my mizzle extra salt on the fizzle,doctor pepper my brother, another for you mother double double super size and dont forget the fries, but dont stop with the fries, cuz I want it medium size, and spaghetti with the chicken and coke on the sides. |
I don't really get nervous while ordering my food, but a lot of times I talk to quietly for them to here me and if they get my order wrong, I ask a friend or my sister to come with me to ask them. xDD

Ordering food is the -only- place I can talk to a random stranger (or even someone I know a little) and not be nervous at all. It's weird, seeing as how I rarely talk to anyone, even people I know well. o.o

My brother always gets nervous when asking what he would like to order, it's like he's doing like an practical exam for biology or something. So I always order for him. It annoys me so much though.

- Do you get nervous when ordering for food? Not really. I'm kind of cocky and they're there to serve me. So why should I ger nervous? I do get nervous when the guy is really cute. Then it's like I want that ugly guy to come and serve me. >.< I don't like feeling nervous. - What do you always do as your ordering? I don't think I do much. I look at my order, make eye contact, look back at my order. Fiddle with my money. Then when I hand the money over I smile and say thank you. - Do you get mad when they get your order wrong? Oh yes. I get so mad. I go up and complain. I'm a nice person until you get my order wrong. If you get it wrong and it's a slow day, there is no excuse. If they're busy I understand. Cause I work at Subway and I know that when it's busy it's hard to keep track sometimes. So I never go up and order my food when I'm talking on my phone cause I hate it when the people do that. It's like "GET OFF THE DAMN PHONE!!!" haha.... |
